How to populate data of two tables in a single block

In form developer2000, I have created a block using one table and have created two new items in that block manually that will collect data from another table.
How can I fetch data for the first table using execute_query as the same time collect data for the two manuly created items from the 2nd table?

You can have two entities as base for a ViewObject.
Every entity maps to a Table in the database. You create two entities, one for each table.
You create one ViewObject based on those two entities.
Is that what you had in mind?
And what do you mean by 'two manually created items'?

I think i miss understood your post completly. I thought you where asking how to do this in JDeveloper. But you are using developer 2000. I think you better post your question in Developer tools >> Forms

We are migrating the data from one oracle instance to another oracle instance which are in same version of Oralce Applications 11.5.10.2. As a part of migration can anybody let me know how to populate data in "People Group Key Flexfiled" (PAY_PEOPLE_GROUPS table), ideally I will create or update employee records from the source instance to destination instance, so while creating or updating the employee records in can pass people_group_id while calling to the assignment api but my question here is before passing group id to the api i should have the data populated in PAY_PEOPLE_GROUPS TABLE so that i can fetch the group id as per the combination and pass it in to the api.. please suggest...

Thanks for your information! by any chance do you have any sample code which will create/update assignments with People Group Flexfield; when i check "hr_assignment_api.update_emp_asg_criteria" it only has parameter to pass people group id and not having segments parameters to pass individual segments.
Also let me know the links if you have any for all HR API guide which will help me to develope the interfaces...
My requirement is we have two instances in which in one instance we are treating as source for HR which will be used to master for all HR related activities and we are planning to develope an interface which will bring master instance in sync with dummy instance.

My requirement is to insert data into two tables at once. I have a XS JS app and want to update these tables via xsjs. How can I do this ?
Is there any mechanism like sql 'transactions' also in Hana ? If yes, how can I call it via xsjs ? If not, what are the ways to populate two different tables at once.

There is nothing special about inserting into two tables at once in XSJS. Just issue two separate SQL Statements. Don't execute the COMMIT until after both commands. That way they are all one transaction.

How to compare data between two tables?

My team is trying to develop a SAP data migration tool (DMT) using ABAP.
One of the functionalities in the DMT is to validate the data in the staging area against the loaded SAP data.
The tables in the stagin area are customer tables (i.e. user-defined tables starting with Y, Z).
How do I compare the data in the staging area against data that are loaded into SAP tables? Are there some built-in SAP functions to do this? Or, are there some better ways of doing this (e.g. instead of comparing against data in the SAP tables, we compare with some INTERNAL tables)?

actually we can assign one database table in a block

Yes, this is possible. Essentially, you are performing a join on the tables in your block which means you have to fully qualify each column in the block so Forms knows which column belongs to which table. For detailed information take a look at the Oracle White Paper: Basing a Forms Data Block on a Join. This works quite well and the tables your block is based on is fully updatable, whereas if you were to create a view and base your block on the view, most likely your view would not be updatable.

How to manipulate data over two tables in same database.

hi, i am not a profficient java programmer, i was trying to copy filtered data from one table to another table.
i was trying to use

Your problem isn't in the Java code, it's your SQL code...
Your statement, as submitted, is an improperly formed multi-table select, where you never joined the second table. That won't work.
You need to look into the INSERT INTO statement. The exact syntax of your statement will depend on whether or not both tables contain the exact same column names, etc. A generic example based on what you have might look like:
INSERT INTO myhisab SELECT * FROM shisab WHERE Who_Bought = 'ron'HTH

How to populate data in the table DBERCHV

Hi Experts,
When I create Bill document, it is not creating entry in table DBERCHV (Consumption History). Is there have any configuration or other way to populate this table with Billing data.
Also, I noticed, tables like DBERCHZ1, DBERCHZ3 and DBERCHZ4 get poppulated with billing date/process. But similar tables DBERCHZ,DBERCHZ2,DBERCHZ5, DBERCHZ6,DBERCHZ7 and DBERCHZ8 are not getting populated. Any reason for it??

SQL Query question : how to add data to two tables connected by third Junction-table.

Maybe this is the wrong formum but I've got a question for which you probably have the answer, i hope.
Situation
John is member of Group_A and Group_B
Bill is member of Group_B and Group_C
Allison is member of Group_A and Group_E
How can I create a query to input Allisons username into table 1 and groupmembership into table 2. Also updating the relationship within junction-table3 must be done automaticaly. I want to avoid duplicate records.
The final situation I want is given in red text.
The relationships between the tables are as follows
Table1 (PK)ID-Userinfo    [ONE]    <------------> [MANY] Table3 ID-Userinfo

How to copy data between two tables row by row

Hi All,
I have three tables TableA and TableB and TableC
I wanted to write a stored procedure to copy data row by row from TableA to TableB and then update TableC by replacing any record that has the old id (before copying) to the new id after copying the data.
here is the steps
iterate throw all the rows in tableA ( probably with a foreach)
in each iteration we will do the following:
Get current ID (identity) for each record in TableA ( will call it @oldID)
Insert the row in TableB
Get the new ID for the row from TableB will call it (@NewID)
find rows in tableC that has the (@oldID)
replace all ids in tableC with @oldID to @NewID

Not exactly. I want to enter input from form and the user can have all options to choose i.e. HIGH, MEDIUM or so on.
Suppose, you have option to select HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW and you can see all these options together. You select LOW and when you save, it is saves in the table as a value. So when you view the table again, it will show LOW as active and HIGH and MEDIUM are null.

How to refine data in aggregates tables (created by "create aggregates ..." statement) after the data in corresponding database tables was updated?
It is unable to use the "delete aggregates" statement and then "create aggregates" again, because "delete aggregates" eliminates all aggregates in a model, but there are several aggregates in our model, that are intended for refining in different time moments and periods.
