How to populate values of some controls in a form which is associated another form in realtime?

My aim each time when I click on button1 then only one instance of Form2 exist with updated string or else if I design with other controls in Form1 and Form2.
Below example success for the first time by clicking button1, any other times it does not work (updated) that textBox1.Text to Form2's label.text.
How can I handle this?
public partial class Form1 : Form
public Form1()
InitializeComponent();
private bool CheckOpened(string name)
FormCollection fc = Application.OpenForms;
foreach (Form frm in fc)
if (frm.Text == name)
return true;
return false;
private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
Form2 frm2 = new Form2(textBox1.Text);
if (!CheckOpened("Form2"))
frm2.Show();
else
frm2.label1.Text = textBox1.Text;
public partial class Form2 : Form
public Form2(string str)
InitializeComponent();
label1.Text = str;

You should first check if the Form is open, then only create a new instance if it's not open. Based on your code, I'd redesign CheckOpened so that it returns the opened instance, or null if it's not open. In button1_click, check the return value. If it's
null, create a new instance, otherwise use the returned refernce to make the modification, either by directly accessing label1, or indirectly by adding a property to Form2 that changes label1.text in the property-set method.
However, instead of searching for an open form, I'd just store a reference to it in a class level variable when it's created. So you just check for null if it's open. Additionally you must set it to null when handling Form2's FormClosed event.

    How to populate values in List box in adobe forms?
    Thanks
    RB

    if you want to display a fixed values in the dropdown you can use list box ui and can specify values there
    or if u want to display values from the context node of the webdynpro
    1. Drag and drop a Value Help Drop-down List element from the Web Dynpro Library tab to the Body Pages pane.
    2. Drag and drop your node from the Data View tab onto it. This action binds the layout element to the corresponding node.

  • How to populate values in to dropdown in table ui element

    Hi,
    according to my scenario  i have atable with five records ...andi have acolumn name DATE and  it contains 5 dropdowns with some values i.e dates from jan 1 2008-dec 31 2008.user needs to select only those values which are in dropdown. can u tell me the code to populate values in to dropdown in table UI element.
    Thanks
    Raju

    Hi,
    you can go for two drop downs like DropDown by Key or Drop Down by Index as per requirment.
    Create context Node for the table UI, in that one will be for ur drop down. Create element for the Context node and add thses to the conetxt.
    Code example for DropDownBy Key:-
    ISimpleType simpleType =               wdContext     .nodeProjEstiTable().getNodeInfo()
         .getAttribute("projphasname")               .getModifiableSimpleType();
    IModifiableSimpleValueSet svs1 =
    simpleType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
    svs1.clear();
    for (int j = 0; j < projphasname.length; j++) {
         svs1.put(projphasname[j][1], projphasname[j][1]);
    for DropDownBy Index you can work in normal way means try to create element for the respective context attribute.
    Hope this may help you...

  • How to insert values in table control & how to place listbox in table ctrl

    Dear all,
                I have created table control in Module pool program.  My requirement is first
                   1)How to place list box in table control
                   2)Based on listbox selection i have to enter values in table control row..
    With Regards,
    Baskaran

    Hi Baskaran,
    For displaing list box, use FM: VRM_SET_VALUES.
    Code like that:
    TYPE-POOLS: vrm.
    DATA: name TYPE vrm_id,
    list TYPE vrm_values,
    value LIKE LINE OF list.
    PARAMETERS: ps_parm(10) AS LISTBOX VISIBLE LENGTH 15.
    Instead of parameter for module pool , you declare data:
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
      name = 'PS_PARM'.
      value-key = '3500000002'.
      value-text = '3500000002'.
      APPEND value TO list.
      value-key = '3500000003'.
      value-text = '3500000003'.
      APPEND value TO list.
      name = 'PS_PARM'.
      value-key = '3500000004'.
      value-text = '3500000004'.
      APPEND value TO list.
      name = 'PS_PARM'.
      value-key = '3000000007'.
      value-text = '3000000007'.
      APPEND value TO list.
      CALL FUNCTION 'VRM_SET_VALUES'
        EXPORTING
          id     = name
          values = list.
    make the necesary change for module pool.
    Hope this can solve your problems.

  • How to set value for Dropdown control using Querystring filter wepart

    Hi,
    I have a dropdown in my customized list form and need to set the value for the dropdown control using query string filter web part.
    I am able to set value for textbox control using Query String Filer web part.
    But, since the dropdown values are not populated on form load, the value is not set for dropdown control.
    How to load the values in dropdown control on form load and set a value using Query String filter webpart?
    Thanks,
    dhijit

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to filter choice field using Query String Filter web part.
    To filter using query string filter web part, we can set the default value for the choice field in the query string filter web part panel as below, then connect to the list.
    Now it would be filter by the value you have set.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • How to populate data in table control  .

    hi all,
    i put matnr no. in screen no. 103
    validation is done at that screen only.
    now when i want to modify dat record
    when i put matnr no. at screen 103
    so how i will get all  data of dat number to table control screen.

    Hi Darshan,
       Here is a detailed description of how to update data in table controll.
      Updating data in table control
    The ABAP language provides two mechanisms for loading the table control with data from the internal table and then storing the altered rows of the table control back to the internal table.
    Method 1: Read the internal table into the Table Control in the screenu2019s flow logic.  Used when the names of the Table Control fields are based on fields of the internal table.
    Method 2: Read the internal table into the Table Control in the module pool code. Used when the names of the Table Control fields are based on fields of the database table.
    Method 1 (table control fields = itab fields)
    In the flow logic we can read an internal table using the LOOP statement. Define the reference to the relevant able control by specifying WITH CONTROL <ctrl>
    Determine which table entry is to be read by specifying CURSOR <ctrl>-CURRENT_LINE.
    After the read operation the field contents are placed in the header line of the internal table. If the fields in the table control have the same name as the internal they will be filled automatically. Otherwise we need to write a module to transfer the internal table fields to the screen fields.
    We must reflect any changes the user makes to the fields of the table control in the internal table otherwise they will not appear when the screen is redisplayed after PBO processing, (eg, after the user presses Enter or scrolls) However, this processing should be performed only if changes have actually been made to the screen fields of the table control (hence the use of the ON REQUEST)
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    LOOP AT ITAB_REG WITH CONTROL TCREG
    CURSOR TCREG-CURRENT_LINE.
    ENDLOOP.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    LOOP AT ITAB_REG.
    MODULE MODIFY_ITAB_REG.
    ENDLOOP.
    MODULE MODIFY_ITAB_REG INPUT.
    MODIFY ITAB_REG INDEX TCREG-CURRENT_LINE.
    ENDMODULE.
    Method 2 (table control fields = dict. fields)
    If using a LOOP statement without an internal table in the flow logic, we must read the data in a PBO module which is called each time the loop is processed.
    Since, in this case, the system cannot determine the number of internal table entries itself, we must use the EXIT FROM STEP-LOOP statement to ensure that no blank lines are displayed in the table control if there are no more corresponding entries in the internal table.
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    LOOP WITH CONTROL TCREG.
    MODULE READ_ITAB_REG.
    ENDLOOP.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    LOOP WITH CONTROL TCREG.
    CHAIN.
    FIELD: ITAB_REG-REG,
    ITAB_REG-DESC.
    MODULE MODIFY_ITAB_REG
    ON CHAIN-REQUEST.
    ENDCHAIN.
    ENDLOOP.
    MODULE READ_ITAB_REG OUTPUT.
    READ TABLE ITAB_REG INDEX TCREG-CURRENT_LINE.
    IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
    MOVE-CORRESPONDING ITAB_REREG TO TCREG.
    ELSE.
    EXIT FROM STEP-LOOP.
    ENDIF.
    ENDMODULE.
    MODULE MODIFY_ITAB_REG INPUT.
    MOVE-CORRESPONDING TCREG TO ITAB_REG.
    MODIFY ITAB_REG INDEX
    TCREG-CURRENT_LINE.
    ENDMODULE.
    Updating the internal table
    Method 1
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    LOOP AT ITAB_REG.
    CHAIN.
    FIELD: ITAB_REG-REG,
    ITAB_REG-DESC.
    MODULE MODIFY_ITAB_REG ON CHAIN-REQUEST.
    ENDCHAIN.
    ENDLOOP.
    MODULE MODIFY_ITAB_REG INPUT.
    ITAB_REG-MARK = u2018Xu2019.
    MODIFY ITAB_REG INDEX TCREG-CURRENT_LINE.
    ENDMODULE.
    Method 2
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    LOOP WITH CONTROL TCREG.
    CHAIN.
    FIELD: TCREG-REG,
    TCREG-DESC.
    MODULE MODIFY_ITAB_REG ON CHAIN-REQUEST.
    ENDCHAIN.
    ENDLOOP.

  • How to change properties for some controls in runtime ?

    hi,
    I would like to change some of the properties for some controls in front panel in runtime. Number of control properties I want to change is depending of a log file user opens in final application.
    I attach an example where I'm trying to change the visibility of numeric controls. Problem I have I don't know which reference to connect to property node in case the control in for loop is not a numeric control. The example relies to label.text property but I could use the more generic classname property as well.

    Initially, a control has no caption.  It's not just that the caption string is empty and the caption not visible, but the caption object does not exist.
    I think this should probably be changed in future versions, because even if each control had a caption, it would still be a negligible small part of the VI. The current behavior made sense many years ago where HD and memory space was very precious. Not any more!
    This issue comes up often enough that it warrants addressing the root of the problem.
    It is hard to convince the casual that the caption does not exist if he can simply do a "show caption" at edit time and it will show in all glory, even with the default set to the current label. It is confusing!
    There is even an idea about this that seems worth supporting (also read the link in the discussion).

  • How to populate values dynamically & allows user to edit some other columns

    Hi..I am new to Apex..please help me to sove it out...
    I have a scenario like editing the some of the Customer details where as one field is dynamically populating from a different table.
    Columns like Include, Frequency, Communication, Address and Exclude has to be displayed in tabular format and data should be stored in a table called "om_customer_catalog ".
    In this "Communication " column value is dynamically populating from a table called "om_customer_settings" and the no. of records in the om_customer_settings table may vary time to time as per the settins in the Admin module.
    I want the user to edit all details except Communication column for all the rows which is displayed and the no. of rows should be displayed dynamically as per the settings.
    how can i achieve this?...which way i need to proceed like whether report kind of thing..or someother way..
    hope some reply....
    More Column details:
    Include - a Check box with editable(values Y or N)
    Communication - text field with display only(values like Promotional Email, All Email etc.)
    Frequecny - Drop downbox with editable(values Annually/Monthly/Weekly etc)
    Address - Drop down with editable(static values like Me, Father, Mother,Brother etc)
    Exclude Reason - text field with editable(any text value)
    Apply - a button for saving the changes
    thanks in advace...
    renjish

    Hello Renjish,
    Solution is quite tricky, You have to make a procedure which select each row of your tabular form and executes the update statement (customized).
    e.g
    to select each row of table use
    begin
    FOR I in 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01.COUNT
    LOOP
    insert into table_name values(APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i),'PENDING',sysdate,'RESOURCE','','','','');
    end loop;
    end;
    here APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i) will return the value of the first column of selected row. Pick the values and make a cutomized update command.

  • How to populate values dynamically in dropdownbykey

    Hi All,
    My requirement is to populate the dropdown filled in with values( and key) which are coming from the ZBAPI call ie web service model.
    How do i achieve this ?
    Kindly provide me with some pseudo code.
    Reg/Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
              You can populate dropdown values from webservice using the following steps. I assume you gave idea about custom controller.
    step1:
          Create custom controller.Inside custom controller Bind input value then execute webservice.
    step2:
          Now you have value node which is returned from web service. find thr size of value node.
    After execute web service you can find size using the following code. create value node and model node object using the code.
    Step3:
    <custom controller name>.IRole_ResultNode modelnode=wdContext.nodeRole_Result();
    <custom controller name>.IRole_OutputNode valuenode=wdContext.nodeRole_Output();
    valuenode.invalidate();
    int size=modelnode.size();
    Step4:
         After find size using loop fetch values from model node into value node.Asume in this value node contains key and value.
    for(int x=0;x<modelnode.size();x++){
    <custom controller name>.IRole_ResultElement  modelElement=modelnode.getRole_ResultElementAt(x);
    <custom controller name>.IRole_OutputElement valueElement=wdContext.createRole_OutputElement();
    valueElement.setId(modelElement.getKey());
    valueElement.setText(modelElement.getValue());
    valuenode.addElement(valueElement);
    step5:
    After that bind this value node(Role_Output) into Component controller. Then Bind value node(Role_Output) from component controller into view.
    Step6:
    Finally bind dropdown UI Element into Role_Output node's attribute(ID).
    Kind Regards,
