How to print the attribute name and value?

Hi, All,
I am learning Jaxp and DOM.
I am trying to parse a xml document using DOM as
DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
document = builder.parse( new File(argv[0]) );
Assume that my xml have three levels. For each node, there is only one attribute (key).
Now I would like to print the name of all the nodes and the name of all the attributes and their values.
Would youn please provide me some ideas?
Thanks.

  • Get the attributes NAME and VALUE from an XML

    I really love this forum :)
    I load an XML an populate a Tree, from which I start to drag
    items.
    the xml looks like this:
    <myTag attrName="attrValue"
    otherAttrName="otherAttrValue"/>
    var ds:DragSource = event.dragSource;
    var var1:String =(event.dragInitiator as
    Tree).value.@attrName;
    -> the var1 variable has now: "attrValue"
    my question is.. how can I get all the attributes' names? in
    this example: attrName and otherAttrName (suppose I don't know the
    structure of that xml node)
    what about attributes values?
    thank you!

    The snippet below takes an xml node(nodeCur), loops over the
    attributes list and builds an array that contains the attribute
    name and value for each attribute. It comes from a sample app that
    allows you to edit an xml file.
    Sorry that the forum will remove the formatting
    var aDPAttributes:Array = new Array();
    var xlAttributes:XMLList = nodeCur.@*;
    var attribute:Attribute;
    for ( var i:int = 0; i < xlAttributes.length(); i++) {
    aDPAttributes.push({name:xlAttributes [ i ]
    .name(),value:xlAttributes [ i ] });
    dgAttributes.dataProvider = aDPAttributes; //set the property
    sheet dataProvider

    Hi
    Just as an aside to the comments above, a scenario we see occasionally is where a desk provides an internal function (e.g. a helpdesk) and you really just want to get the name display (as seen on the handsets) onto the CAD display.
    You can do this by  doing a reverse lookup over HTTP against CUCM. There are a number of posts around, these should get you started :
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2065114
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3024617
    A couple of notes:
    - It looks up against the directory, NOT the actual calling line. So you can add stuff to the directory to get external callers to show up by name, but should expect the unexpected when you have shared lines (e.g. multipel directory entries with one tel number for whatever reason)
    - If you want to do different lookups (i.e. get names back in a different format, get the actual line display name from CUCM, or lookup elsewhere) then you would need to either:
    1) Do it via SOAP or another technology from the UCCX script engine
    2) Put in a small external web service to do the lookups and allow UCCX to query via simple HTTP
    3) Use a DB for the numbers so you can read/write to it from UCCX and regularly update the data from wherever you like

    Ravi,
    You cant change the Technical name of the cube but you can change the description of the Cube. If you want to have a Cube with the same properties and with different Techname and Description better you do copy from the base cube and rename as per your requirement.

Me, I've either been a modeller/DBA, doling out data, or a nuts and bolts programmer (and actually more toolmaker than apps, but did a bit of that too).
    Do you know of a good book about the "middle ground" (ie, these service layers)? I understand it empirically, but haven't had a lot of exposure to it.

    PS: Apologies. Edited my previous post, presumably while you were composing your reply, when I finally realized what '.filed' meant.Most of my work is in web development, never been a DBA :) . The biggest 'concern' in my shop is 'separation of concerns'. The UI group reports up to a different IT head, the DB group reports up to a different IT head and so on. The looser the coupling between these systems, the lesser the project costs (Integration, QA etc) are. Martin Fowler's books contain good information about separation of concerns in an enterprise environment. The two books which i recommend are

    How can I get all property names and values of an bean instance at runtime?
    (The class of the bean instance is dynamic and I can not know before I write the code .)

    Look at Class. It has a way to get at all public methods and attributes.
    If you need to get to private attributes you can do what the Introspector does and expect the methods to follow the Bean pattern and pull the attributes out based upon that. Privates are all hidden from direct access but through the Bean Pattern they can be figured out.

  • How to change the attribute name for a relation

    When the Data Modeler engineers a logical model into a relational model it create table columns for the relations. The names of the generated columns are listed in the attributes list in the properties dialog of the relation. The actual name of the attribute gets calculated by the attribute name of the entity which is part of the relation. This is okay, if there is only one relation between two entities. But when there are two relations between two entities the second attribute gets a stupid number suffix. This makes it impossible to give the attribute a useful semantic meaning.
    When I engineer the model into a relational model I can change the column name in the relational model. Changing the column name in the relational model is not perfect but it would be okay for me, if it would not be overwritten during the next engineering run.
    So I have two questions:
    How can I change the attribute name in the attributes section of the properties dialog of a relation? See here for screen shot:
    http://public.ceving.de/2012050300/relationattribute.png
    And if it is not possible:
    How can I preserve any changes on column names in the relational model during a re-engineering run?

    Hi,
    I've logged an Enhancement request on this.
    I don't believe it's possible to change it from the Entity or Relationship dialog, as it's not updatable in these dialogs.
    What you can do is change it in the Relational Model, and then reverse engineer the change back to the Logical Model.

  • Delivery document how to print the BOM Parent and Child items

    Hi,
    I have a production BOM. In Delivery document how to print the Parent and Child items Item Code and Qty.At the time
    of add a delivery document Inventory stock redused only in Parent Item not child item because child item stock already reduced in issue for production.

    If you need to print both the BOM Parent and Child items, you have to create your own report. BOM is only for production if it is not Sales type.
    Thanks,
    Gordon
