How to properly print comments in a PDF Booklet

I am printing a PDF booklet. I am printing on 11 X17, and I am trying to print the comments on a separate page with lines. I can select this, and then press Summarize Comments. But here is where my problem lies. How do I not print comments from the first page, or how can I make sure the comments are all on the left side when I open each page in my booklet. Right now, each page of comments is on the backside of the page it is referring to. I'm assuming the issue is because clearly the cover page doesn't have a left side, so it is forced to do the following page, and so on and so forth. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I would recommend you to try again, here are the steps :
Open the document saved on the cloud on your mac
Make the desired comments
Click on 'Save to adobe Document Cloud'
Reopen that file(cloud version) on the mac and confirm if changes are saved.
Open the file on your ipad device and the changes in the pdf should be reflected on your ipad device too.
Do let me know if the issue persists. Moreover i would recommend you to turn on the Mobile Link on both your devices (mac and ipad).

I can't figure out how to get comments to print continuosly rather than one comment per page. I have a 30 page PDF with comments on each page. I don't want to print out 30 pages. I just want them to print on x pages as if it were a word doc. Most comments are short. Printing one minor edit per page is driving me nuts.

Sorry this is not supported at this time. You can only download the responses as PDF one at a time.
You can export the response table and print the whole table but if you want to print each response individually you have to do it manually. Sorry.

How do you print comments in pages under mavericks? Earlier if show comments was checked, all the comments were visible and could be easily printed. Now only those comments are visible on which the cursor is pointed but even those do not get printed!

Thanks to all for to the 'older Pages' suggestion. I don't have the last Pages on my mac anymore (although this is probably just me being really, really dumb), but the suggestion inspired me to try another very similar work around - which was also successful. Just in case anyone's in the same situation as me, am sharing it here!
For absurd reasons I won't bother to explain, I've also got a version of Word for Mac. I prefer writing on Pages, though, so all my documents (and their comments...) are Pages files. In the really unlikely event that you've also ended up with both Pages and Word (I know...) just export to a .docx file, open it with Word, and print from there. It retains all comments, track chages, etc. This seems really obvious, but I hadn't thought of it...
This can also be a work around for the lack of 'Compare Documents' and/or 'Merge Documents'.
Of course this would all be much better if it were actually just in Pages...I hope this helps, and thanks!

How do you print comments that extend beyond the field?

I have created a form in LiveCycle Designer 8.0. It contains a text field that allows recipients to write "beyond the size of the field" if they desire. When we recieve the completed form, of course, we can view the extended comments by clicking on the + sign. But, when we print the form the comments are cut off at the end of the box. How can we print the entire comment directly from the PDF without having to cut and paste into another document? Thanks.

One easy way to resolve this is to change your form to a dynamic form and make that field expandable. To do this, save the file as "Adobe Dynamic XML Form". You will need to change the layout of your form to make it Flowed vs. positioned but before you do that, you will want to prepare the form for this.
Flowed forms layout the fields for you and place each field below the last so you can't control the layout. Positioned layout allows you to put the objects wherever you want with the caveat that you can't expand fields.
What you want to do, is highlight all fields that are positioned and wrap them into a subform. Leave the field you want to expand out of this subform. Then, on the page in Hierarchy view, select the page and the object view and choose Subform "Flowed". Now, on the object that you want to expand with text entry, do the following: on object view, check "allow multiple lines" and "allow page breaks within content"; under layout under height check "expand to fit". Click save and preview. Make sure to change preview settings to Preview Type: Interactive; Preview Adobe XML Form as: Dynamic XML Form.

Thanks Sabian. It took me a while to figure out that "close Acrobat Reader 7.0" actually meant "delete it". After loading 10.1.2 I followed the instructions to send my pdf file and Internet Explorer decided to "quit" right in the middle of the process. ?? I'll try to use Chrome to see if that helps.

First time with this discussion area. I'm attempting to print messages in the right margin of the page on which they appear. This was possible in Ver IX.

I checked my copy of Acrobat 9, and the only way I could find to print comments on the right side of the page was one of the four versions of comment summary.
You can do the same thing in Acrobat X. On the Comments panel, select the Options menu (circled) and choose Create Comment Summary.
Then select the 2nd option in the Create Comment Summary dialog:

Before the wonderous iOS 5 came out I used Save2PDF to print my emails to PDF.
Now that I upgraded to iPad2 I found Apple has taken that away.
Has anyone managed to print an email to PDF without going outside the iPad?
I don't know about anyone else but I'm pretty angry about this. This is the first time ever that I've thought about Jail Breaking or moving to a differnet platform. I've sent Apple feedback about it but I know it'll fall on deaf ears.

At first read I'm thinking "What, there's a print to PDF option in the Mail app?", which I figured I must have as I'm still running 4.3 on my iPad. But, of course, no .... Not anywhere I could find.
Then, on a more careful reading, I did figure out that
A. You were actually talking an app to do that, and
B. That it no longer worked now that you'd upgraded to iOS 5.
The part I still don't get is that you're mad at Apple about this. Is it your opinion that the cart should actually be put before the horse, that no changes to an OS be made unless and until they somehow ensure that every app developed by every TD&H out there at any time will work on our new offering? Seriously?
The App Store has been inundated with updates ever since iOS 5 came out as developers changed their product to either take advantage of new capabilities or, in some cases, to run at all. Perhaps you should redirect your displeasure to the folks who are actually supposed to do something about it.

Printing problems with InDesign PDF booklet

I've created a booklet in InDesign and exported it to PDF for my printer. In the PDF file all pages show correctly, until you print.
One page prints blank. It's a full page photo on that particular page. I have tried re-linking, exporting different PDF types, and even dropping a new file in.
My printer is convinced I am trying to sabotage her, how do I get that one page to show up in final printing?

Which version do you use?
Did you patch your InDesign to the latest build of your version?
Which OS?
What type are the missing images? Filetype?
Is your layer set to print?
If possible could you show us a screen shot of that particular page including the layer panel, opened all layers so we can see what is on that page. If pyossible show also the link panel with the missing file selected open to all information.

How do I share comments in a PDF?

I have posted a PDF on acrobat.com that has comments and edits for my client to review. But she cannot read the comments and neither can I. They don't open when you click on them. How can we reveal the edits for each other to see?

You won't get any feedback at all, as a rule. But, having been watching these discussions for years we get a sense of what kind of feedback is being submitted and we can see that changes do get made. Not quickly, not at all for some things. Sometimes things change that we wouldn't expcet to see change. You never know, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

How to view & print form as complete pdf doc

Hi,
We created an application form on the formscentral system, it's working fine, but we are only able to see the responses on the formsecentral website. As these are application forms we need to be able to view and print the forms in the same design as we created them - so that they can be printed as documents in their own right.
So instead of seeing the candidate's responses broken down in list form on the website, we want to be able to obtain their application as a pdf document.
Can someone please tell me how we do this?

We currently do not support exporting the responses as PDF in the origial layout. You can save the detail view of a single response as PDF but its not the the original layout. This FAQ explains how: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1383
