How to provide a stable stream service in FMS2

Hi, My name is Charley Shin.
I use FMS2 dev. version to streming Flash Videos for test.
But it doesn't stable.
1. When I want to play a next video, the swf load
continuously. Then I click stop button and play again. This work
properly. I check that FMS2 connection is lost when the swf is
loading continuously.
I guess because of FMS2 setting about wait time or connection
time. So, I change "CoreGC" to 600(10 minutes). But this is not
solution.
My source code is bellows. And I use "SteelExternalAll.swf"
for skin. The "Buttfer Time" set to "0.1".
------------------- start --------------------------
videos.loop = false;
videos.length = 1;
videos.loaded = false;
// Path to FLVPlayback components
var m = this.my_video;
// Set the path of the first video feed
m.contentPath = videos.list[0];
// Set a 'ready' event handler to load the videos
videos.ready = function( evt:Object ):Void
if(!this.loaded){
this.loaded = true;
for( var n=1; n<this.list.length; n++ ){
if( videos.list[n].indexOf(".flv") != -1 ){
m.activeVideoPlayerIndex = n;
m.contentPath = videos.list[n];
this.length++;
m.activeVideoPlayerIndex = 0;
m.addEventListener("ready",videos);
// Set a 'complete' event handler to load the next video
videos.complete = function( evt:Object ):Void
var nextIndex = Number(evt.vp)+1;
if( nextIndex == this.length){
if( this.loop ){
nextIndex = 0;
}else{
return;
m.activeVideoPlayerIndex = nextIndex;
m.visibleVideoPlayerIndex = nextIndex;
m.play();
m.addEventListener("complete",videos);
-------------------- end
2. This swf play progressive in "9,0,47,0". But this swf play
when download(or buffering) is finished in "9,0,115,0".
What is differences between "9.0.47.0" and "9.0.115.0" about
FLVplayback or FMS2?
TIA.

Hi.
I almost(!) solved 2nd problem by updating FMS to 2.0.5. But
the progressive does not work at playing first video and first
problem is remained. Anyone?

• How can I create music streaming service using azure media services?

Hi, I'm still new to azure, after doing some research and testing, I found out that Azure don't support music streaming where mp3 song uploaded weren't supported.
Just wondering, is it true or is there any ways that I can deploy music streaming service something like spotify do but not that advance? I'm trying on a school based project. Thanks for the guides and I really appreciate it!

It really depends on what you mean in your case by "Streaming". Is there a specific streaming protocol that you are looking to support? Remember that "streaming" is different from just progressive download of a file from a
web server. If you are looking to just "download and play" an mp3 file, blob storage works just fine. If you have a requirement for an actual streaming protocol like MPEG-DASH, or Apple HLS, then Azure Media Services can help.
If you are streaming content to an iOS device that is longer than 5 minutes in duration, Apple prefers that you use their HLS protocol. It can handle audio only streams.
For streaming in Azure Media Services, you can encode you media into a single MP4 audio file and then request the Streamig URL to play it back in either HLS or MPEG-DASH format depending on which client you are targeting.
To play it back in MPEG-DASH, use the latest DASH.js player.

• How does LinkSys WRT54G v7 support RTSP streaming service?

Hello,
I'm using LinkSys WRT54G v7 and I can see RTSP videos using VLC player from m.youtube.com. Strangely, I cannot play videos if other AP such as DLINK is used instead of LinkSys.
I analyzed the packets and found out that RTSP server(youtube) sends RTP packets to client's ports which are acquired at RTSP SETUP procedures. Then the packets from server cannot reach the client because UDP hole is not punched at the AP.
But, when I use LinkSys, the RTP packets can traverse the NAT.
Here goes my question. Does LinkSys provide the NAT traversal of the RTSP streaming service? Then, why can't I find any feature list about this from the LinkSys product information? Any explanation about this?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Solved!
Go to Solution.

1. None of the NAT helpers in Linksys firmware are documented anywhere.
2. Possibly, they have added a helper for RTP.
3. It could also be that the VLC player forwards the port using UPnP.

• Please guide me to the Best audio streaming service/software provider

Hi everybody
Thank you for your tme. I intend to host a website that streams audio sermons and I have gone through www.byoaudio.com, a flash-based one with a monthly subscription model wherein the files will be hosted on their site, the code for which will be embedded in my site. But I don't want to go for a monthly fee nor to host on their server.
The second one is the software "audiopro" from www.clipstreamaudio.com which is an encoder using java run time environment which will adjust and serve the stream based on the users internet speed and the good ends there. Their support is TERRIBLE with no responses to my 3 mails and a call to their 1-800 number.
I will be deeply obliged if anyone can guide me to a reliable streaming service or software provider. My preference is for the encoder software provider like the java based clipstream. Any guidance will be appreciated.

Hello,
your post is completely off-topic. These forums are for development issues, not application providers.

If you mean an Apple Retail Store, speak to the store manager of that location.
If you mean an Apple Authorized Service provider, speak to the store manager of that location.
If you mean your wireless carrier/cellular provider, go to a store and speak to the store manager of that location, or call the carrier and ask for Customer Relations.
If you mean Apple Support, call Apple and speak to Customer Relations.

• How to provide RDP cert file when create virtual machine deployment?

hi,
the Azure REST API here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/jj157194.aspx#bk_certificates did not say how to provide a cert for the VM when create it.
the StoredCertificateSettings let you install the uploaded cert onto the vm, but this does not allow you to replace
the RDP cert which created by Azure when the VM is created.
see below:
the highlighted cert is automatically created by Azure for the virtual machine to secure the RDP connection.
so when you try to remote to the VM, you will see this error, because the cert used for the RDP on the VM is not installed into the "Trused Root Certification Authorities" on local machine.
i want to replace the cert that azure automatically created :

Hi,
In Azure, this feature is called
custom data. Currently, you can inject custom data into an Azure VM by using the
Windows Azure command-line tools (--custom-data).
I assume that it is not supported in Python API. You can use “custom_data=xxx”
within “create_virtual_machine_deployment” to check if it works.
If it is not yet available, please submit your requirement in Azure feedback below:
http://feedback.azure.com/forums/34192--general-feedback

• How to deploy the Workspace Agent Services as a Window Service!

Hi all,
does anyone know how to install the Workspace Agent Service back as a Windows Service after i re-installed an reconfigured the workspace completly i do not see the Agent anymore in my Windows Services. I sure would like to avoid to have to uninstall and set it up completely again.
The agent start file is located in common\workspacert\9.5.0.0\bin.
Your help is much appreciated
Cheers
André

I hit the same problem after reinstalling workspace.
It seems that the config tool does not create the workspace agent service on subsequent configurations.
A quick search of the configtool.log from the original installation/configuration yields the following:
com.hyperion.avalanche.config.CoreService, INFO, Running command: D:\Hyperion\common\workspacert\9.5.0.0\bin\wksagent.exe -RegService -Auto -Name HyS9Core1 -DisplayName Hyperion Workspace - Agent Service -Description HyS9Core1, Provides service infrastructure to run services locally
Dropping the above line at the command prompt fixed the issue for me.
Cheers,
Aaron

• How do I get decent Customer Service?

How do I get decent Customer Service? I've spent over two hours on the phone and online trying to find out basic questions about Workspaces. India is simply not trained well enough to understand let alone answer basic questions, such as:
What size limits are there on quantity of documents, total storaga capacity, folder sizes etc
Is there a limitation on the number of users who can be sharing workspaces, collaborating on documents
Can access limitations other than Administrator / non-Administrator be set on Workspaces
Is there a time limit on how long a document remains in storage
Is there a file type limit - i.e. only office and pdf documents can be stored
What is the pricing for a plan that would include everything we need; FormsCentral, SendNow, Workspaces, Adobe Pro etc.
Thank you

Hello,
Please understand that Workspaces is a free service; Adobe doesn't charge for it. As a result, it is not possible to provide 1:1 support. But I will try to answer your questions:
What size limits are there on quantity of documents, total storaga capacity, folder sizes etc -- No limit on number of documents uploaded or folder sizes, but the overall size limit for an account is 5 GB.
Is there a limitation on the number of users who can be sharing workspaces, collaborating on documents -- no limit.
Can access limitations other than Administrator / non-Administrator be set on Workspaces -- no, these are the only roles.
Is there a time limit on how long a document remains in storage -- no
Is there a file type limit - i.e. only office and pdf documents can be stored -- You cannot upload and share the following file types: audio formats (MP3, AAC, OGG), video formats (MOV, WMV, FLV, XVID, DIVX, RETG), font formats (TTF, DFONT, OTF), archive formats (TGZ, RAR 7Z, SIT, JAR, WAR, CAB), system files and executable formats (EXE, DLL, JS, VB, BAT, CMD, COM, CPL, SH, CSH, TCSH, KSH, BASH, ZSH, INF, HTA, HLP, INS, ISP, VB, JSE, LNK, MS, PIF, SCR, SHS, WS), web files (CHM, CRT), database files (MDB), or raster image files (PCD, SCT).
What is the pricing for a plan that would include everything we need; FormsCentral, SendNow, Workspaces, Adobe Pro etc. -- Take a look at Adobe Acrobat Plus (https://www.acrobat.com/acrobatplus/en/home.html). It doesn't include SendNow ($19.95/yr) or Workspaces (free) but does include a few other services/tools as well as Acrobat Pro.

• How to Remove & Re-Enable Web Services on LaserJet printers supporting ePrint

If your LaserJet printer has been disconnected from or failed to connect to Web Services, you may need to power cycle your printer to reconnect. If that does not resolve the problem, you can remove web services, wait 30 seconds, then re-enable web services to re-establish your connection to ePrint and Print Apps. Note: this last step will result in a new email address being assigned to your printer.
How do I remove HP Web Services for my LaserJet printer?
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line and press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Select the option to disable Web Services.
How do I enable or re-enable HP Web Services for my LaserJet printer?
To use HP ePrint, you must first enable HP Web Services. Re-Enabling Web Services uses the same procedure as enabling the Web Services.
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line and press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Select the option to enable Web Services.
When Web Services are enabled, ePrint information appears in the HP Embedded Web Server. Look for the e-mail address that is automatically assigned to the product. The product also prints an HP Web Services information sheet that contains this e-mail address and instructions
If you were unable to register your printer in www.hpeprintcenter.com within 24 hours of printing your information sheet, you must re-enable the printer code by reprinting your information sheet. The information sheet will also provide your email address if you have forgotten it.
How do I print the Web Services Information Sheet for my LaserJet printer?
You can only add the printer to your HP ePrintCenter account within 24 hours after printing the information sheet. You can re-print the information sheet at any time from the printer control panel.
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Click the Print Information Sheet button.

• How Do I Get Cam Stream To Appear in FMLE Using iGlasses Software?

How Do I Get Cam Stream To Appear in FMLE Using iGlasses Software?
Sair

Hi Roger,
Thanks for your reply and my apologies for taking longer than hoped to respond. The problem I'm having is that the cover art shows on my iPad (e.g. for "Meet the Press", a weekly American news programme), but it doesn't in either iTunes on my Mac or (consequently) my iPod Nano.
I'm not sure I understand why the image, if it's embedded, would appear on one device but not on another for iTunes?
I tried going to the iTunes store and dragging the cover art across to iTunes on my Mac, but it only brings the link across (rather than the image).
Any help you could provide would be most appreciated!
Thanks and best regards,
Tony
