How to provide a (web)service which delivers a process context?

Hi folks,
i have designed a process with Process Composer so far.
Several tasks read and write data into the process context.
What i want to do now is providing a (web)service which gets an process instance number as input and delivers the data from the corresponding process context as output.
Maybe someone can explain me the steps that are needed to implement that?

Hi Michael,
In case you want to have an 'instant view' on the process data context that might be an option.
Nevertheless I would not recommend doing so / be careful if there is no other possibility. Maybe it makes sense to define specific check points where data could be synchronized. You would benefit of a more clean process model and a reduced number of outgoing web service calls which in fact would also speed up process execution.
I am somehow curious what you are planning to achieve. Could you elaborate on that?

Either Tomcat is down (check to see if you can access it with a browser) or wsdeploy is not authenticating properly in which case I think you can set user and password properties in build.properties.
An alternative to wsdeploy is to drop the .war file in webapps and restart Tomcat for autmatic deployment.

How to consume a web service provided by third party system from SAP system

Do we get an URL to create a client proxy for consuming the web service?

Hi Ram,
of course you cannot supply the WSDL URL. Inside the WSDL (just view it in your browser) you find (usually but not necessary) towards the end something like
<soap:address location="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/SOAP_server/ndfdXMLserver.php"/>
which is the actual adress of the service.
An example service can be found here:
<a href="http://www.weather.gov/xml/">National Digital Forecast Database</a>
containing the WSDL URL at
<a href="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/DWMLgen/wsdl/ndfdXML.wsdl">this address</a>.
You might also want to browse for the amazon webservices which allow you to embed queries against amazon into your application.

You would just need to define your bindings and endpoints in your web.config. This method will return the DisplayName and ObjectType for the resource with the ObjectId matching the objectID argument. If you need more information, please provide more specifics

SQL Server Reporting Services provides access to the full functionality of the report server through the Report Server Web service. Because the Report Server Web service is an XML Web service which uses Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) over Hypertext Transfer
Protocol (HTTP), any SOAP-aware application or development tool can communicate with the SSRS web service.
There are three primary ways to develop Reporting Services applications based on the Web service, please see:

How to Authenticate the Web Service from my Java Client?

I am a newbie. I am working in Microsoft Technology. But due to a critical requirement, I am suppose to write a Java Web Service Client application. I some how managed to create the Client Application. The application works fine if the Authentication is turned off in the web service level itself. I am unable to or unaware of authentication in Java World. I have written a .NET Client application where I am able to set the Credentials but in Java world no property or method allows me to set it.
Anybody knows how to solve this problem?
My configuration is,
JDK - JDK 1.5.0.16
IDE - Netbeans 6.1
Web Server - Tomcat 6.0
SOAP - Native C++ SOAP

- Created a Java Web Service Client Application.
- Added the Web Reference to the SOAP WSDL url.
- Initialized the class object using the WSDL generated SOAP classes (Reference classes)

Since I do not have a VS2012 environment, according to your provided link, I created a test demo with VS2013, however, both ways catch the validation error:
If possible, you could have a try with VS2013 to see if it works or run the example on other machine with VS2012 to see if this is caused by the VS environment, in my side, I do not change any configuration, all are default.

Want to find out how much data a Web Service is sending to client (JWSDP)

Well, the subject line didn't fit what I was intended to say, so if you don't get what I am saying in the subject line, I am sorry.
My question is... I have a Web Service client that uses stub classes generated by wscompile in JWSDP. I am wondering, it there a way to find out how much data the Web Service is sending back to my client.
The reason I asked is this, I used WebLogic 7.0 workshop to create a Web Service and also used JWSDP to create the same Web Service which deploys to Tomcat. The generated WSDL files from WebLogic workshop and JWSDP that expose the same functionalities have differences. The WSDL from WebLogic workshop is 1.5 times the size of the WSDL from JWSDP. When I tested both with client programs, calling the Web Service in Tomcat (which uses JWSDP to built) is much quicker than calling the Web Service in WebLogic.
For this reason, I would liked find out if the Web Service from WebLogic is sending more data than the one created with JWSDP.

How to time a web service at back-end?

I implemented a web service using Axis. This service is to receive an upload file and process it. Since it is a long process, I want to know and log how much time was used for each service call at the server side.
The web service code is like:

In the service method processUpload(), it receives byte array zippedData, which can be hundred of MBs. I want to log the time processUpload() receives and processes zippedData. The problem is that, when processUpload() is invoked at the back-end, the server has already received the zippedData, so we can't correctly compute the time of upload of zippedData.
Does anyone have a good idea of how to time the web service call processUpload() at server side?

When you are creating your Message interface,you would be using Input/Output Messages.
These are either Message Types which you would have defined or you would have got WSDL from sender system,right.
Now in these message type or WSDL if you have described your elements as occurence from 0-unbounded,it will let you pass an empty payload,but if any of the field is mandatory,it will throw an error.
Yu can not leave Input/Output Message type empty when creating Message Interface,there should be some message structure there,could be a dummy one

How to debugg a Web Service ? Any T-code Available?

Hi all,
I developed a ZRFC enabled function module that creates a Sales Order in CRM for both Normal Materials and Configurable materials.
The RFC works perfect and if I test it in SE37 t-code I am able to generate the Sales order with all the Characteristic values for the VC material.
Now I exposed that RFC as a Web Service by calling the web service creation wizard u2026.. and I am testing the Web Service in SOAMANGER T-code.
Now the Web Service generates the Sales Order but the configuration data is missing..i.e if I go and check the Sales order in SAP GUI..i find that the Characteristic Values are missing for the variant configurable material.
So now I created another Web Service for this RFC function module and still I encounter the same problemu2026..........
If any thing is wrong with the RFC..i know that I can debug it using the ABAP debuggeru2026but everything is perfect at RFC end u2026u2026u2026the problem is with web serviceu2026
How can I debug the web service?....can I call ABAP debugger for monitoring what is happening while I test web service in SOAMANGER t-codeu2026if so how should I do it?
Did anybody encounter this problemu2026please help me. I encountered this for the first time and I am not finding any relevant posts for this behavior of web service which is bit funny and weirdu2026
Please helpu2026.if some one has some thought on this ..as I need to figure it as as soon as possible.
