How to run a web service which is using https server

hi all.
i am tring to send an xml tag to an https server. but get this exception "http_communication_failure"
in the method "http_client->receive" some say that i need an ssl sertificate but i dont know how to get .
here is my code any suggestions will be very helpful.

Either Tomcat is down (check to see if you can access it with a browser) or wsdeploy is not authenticating properly in which case I think you can set user and password properties in build.properties.
An alternative to wsdeploy is to drop the .war file in webapps and restart Tomcat for autmatic deployment.

i have designed a process with Process Composer so far.
Several tasks read and write data into the process context.
What i want to do now is providing a (web)service which gets an process instance number as input and delivers the data from the corresponding process context as output.
Maybe someone can explain me the steps that are needed to implement that?

Hi Michael,
In case you want to have an 'instant view' on the process data context that might be an option.
Nevertheless I would not recommend doing so / be careful if there is no other possibility. Maybe it makes sense to define specific check points where data could be synchronized. You would benefit of a more clean process model and a reduced number of outgoing web service calls which in fact would also speed up process execution.
I am somehow curious what you are planning to achieve. Could you elaborate on that?

We need to identify all the web services that a web application is using. We need them so that we can use test them. We are a group of independent testers. We have access to IIS server's on which the application is hosted. Is there any way we can identify
them other than seeking out the DEV team to give out the list?

Force web service servlet to use http 1.1

is there anyway to force a web service deployed to oc4j standalone 9.0.3 to service many calls over one http connection? there doesn't seem to be any documentation to that end. Thanks, Ki

Calling Web Service from EJB using HTTP Client

Scenario:
I need to Call a Web Service from an EJB Application.I used HttpClient for calling the Web Service in the EJB Application. When i call the execute method of the HttpCLient it throws an exception
The element type "META" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</META>"
The input XML does not have a node called META.
When i call the Web Service using Http Client form an Java Application it is working fine.
Kindly Suggest me the changes/steps that needs to be done

SOAP adapter does pass the message to XI (this message contains SOAP envelope although XI expects to get message without it), and during the mapping step i get "Runtime Exception in Message-Mapping transformatio~".
I suppose it's because i created proxy manually. I did so because when i imported WSDL, and tried to generate proxy in CRM, i got an error message that said that proxy couldn't be generated because external definitions are only allowed in XI 3. But my XI version is 3.0! And when I generate the same proxy in my R/3 system that is installed on WAS 640, it works.
What can I do?

Using Web Services on the Crystal Report Server XI to return reports

Hi,I'm trying to setup for the first time a Crystal Reports Server XI R2 and put a couple of reports onto the server. This is so I can access the reports on the crystal reports server using using the crystal web services and finally display the reports in an ASP.NET web application.So far I have installed the server, created a couple of reports, put them on the server, and tested to see that I can access the reports using the Central Management Console. This all works fine and the reports are returned. Ok, now for the bit that's not working. The DBAs just completed the upgrade for the APEX 4.2 in our organization. I was asked to work with APEX and build some application. This morning I was asked by my boss to take a look at getting the Web Services/RESTful API Functionality up and running. I am new to this environment. When I check the RESTful Services I found out the are no RESTful Services. What do I do to get this running? as a Developer, I do not have access to any schema or web services. You can consume Web-Services from APEX, but you can't produce. So first ask your boss which web-service you want to implement.
There are 2 types of web services in general, SOAP based and RESTful. APEX provides simplified API's to invoke both types web-service.
Identify web-service you want to TEST
Create ACL for APEX_XXXX schema to access web-service
Create ACL for Proxy Server as-well, if required
If web-service is SSL-enabled then configure wallet. See 17.7 Implementing Web Services
Use APEX API's to invoke Web-Services. See APEX_WEB_SERVICE
You can process XML response from Web-Service using Using XQuery with Oracle XML&nbsp;DB
If Web-Service returns JSON data either you can use PL/JSON | Free software downloads at SourceForge.net to process response, or you can process response at client side using jQuery

Which JAR's are required to run a Web Service Proxy?

Hi,
I successfully generated a Web Service Proxy, which runs when I start it in JDeveloper. However when I generate a JAR with all classe files, and try to start the main class of this JAR I get the following error:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/rpc/ServiceFactory
Which additional JAR's do I need to run the Web Service Proxy outside JDeveloper.
Note, that I have JRE 1.4 and not 5!

of course you cannot supply the WSDL URL. Inside the WSDL (just view it in your browser) you find (usually but not necessary) towards the end something like
<soap:address location="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/SOAP_server/ndfdXMLserver.php"/>
which is the actual adress of the service.
An example service can be found here:

containing the WSDL URL at

You might also want to browse for the amazon webservices which allow you to embed queries against amazon into your application.

If you are using apex, you have access to the wwv_flow_web_services package that has all the procs you need to made this work. If not, you can use flex_ws_api, which, although a bit out of date, should still work. This can be found at: http://jastraub.blogspot.com/2009/11/flexwsapi-no-on-samplecodeoraclecom.html
Hopefully this will get you the start you need. Don't forget soapUI. This has proved to be invaluable in my development just to prove something works. It becomes a very easy way when I keep hearing, "UCM doesn't work....".

Could you please explain here the detailed steps (with code example if it's possible) to invoke a webservice from Oracle Applications?.. how did yo do it...?
I've read differents posts here and the 33097.1 metalink note (by the way, the first recommended link in this note is broken...), but there are lots of theorical concepts and no real examples to see how/from where invoke the WS
I'll have to call one webservice (I suppose the customer will give me the interface implementation)...but I've never did it with Applications so that's why I ask you for all the detailed steps...
I work with Forms 6i, Apps 11.5.10.2 and DB 9.2.0.7.

I did using java program to call BPEL web services in 11.5.10.
I pasted below the metalink note for your reference (Note:250964.1)
The idea is first write a java program to call the webservice (in my case it is calling an BPEL web service, so this may not help directly), test it.
Then port the java program as specified in the note, so that you could call your web service through concurrent manager scheduler.
Is this ok?

I am a newbie. I am working in Microsoft Technology. But due to a critical requirement, I am suppose to write a Java Web Service Client application. I some how managed to create the Client Application. The application works fine if the Authentication is turned off in the web service level itself. I am unable to or unaware of authentication in Java World. I have written a .NET Client application where I am able to set the Credentials but in Java world no property or method allows me to set it.
Anybody knows how to solve this problem?
My configuration is,
JDK - JDK 1.5.0.16
IDE - Netbeans 6.1
Web Server - Tomcat 6.0
SOAP - Native C++ SOAP
How do I did?
- Created a Java Web Service Client Application.
- Added the Web Reference to the SOAP WSDL url.
- Initialized the class object using the WSDL generated SOAP classes (Reference classes)

How to develop web services in OSB using Eclipse OEPE

Hello,
We have some live web services developed in SOA ESB using JDeveloper.
We are now forced to migrate to OSB because of the reason that sometime next year ESB will be de-supported by Oracle.
I am looking for some good documentation which explains how to create web services in OSB using Eclipse. Please help.
I am installed Web logic + OEPE + OSB in my local machine already. All I need is to know how to start development.

How do i call web services from SAP ABAP

Ian working with .net team. they are using sap .net Connector to connect SAP. But my job is In SAP side when Purchase Requisition is created, I have to call web services from ABAP and i have to pass the Purchase Requisition number to web service(.net Program). Please help me how to call web services from ABAP and how to pass value. Any one help me with example.
