How to put both instances in up state

We have two instances in our database(backupdb) (1) EXDB (2) SCBA, both start normally in the morning, but after some time one of instance SCBA stop replying, then i have to restart database again to resolve the issue, after this the problem do not reoccur for the rest of day. I could only find one suspected entry in listener status output where it say Instance "scba", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler(s) for this service... How to resolve this issue.........

Why are you defining two listeners? (listener and em_listener)?
One listener, with the default name of LISTENER, running from one oracle home, listening on a single port, will serve multiple database instances of multiple versions running from multiple homes. It is an unnecessary complexity to try to have multiple listeners or to name the listener as if it belongs to a particular database or client. That would be like the telephone company building a separate switchboard for each customer.

If you will ever want to treat the numeric part of refno as a NUMBER, then I suggest you store the values in two separate columns, refno_alpha and refo_num. For example, if "ORDER BY refno" should produce:
A1
A1.1
A2
A10
A11
A100
A121
B1then it will be easier to have two columns.
When necessary, you can always combine the two columns (using "refno_alpha || refno_num"). You can create a function-based index and/or a view with that expression if it helps you.
Also, as William said, validation is easier if the numbers are separate.

did you try to do a soft reset?
Press MENU and the SELECT buttons simultaneously for over 10 sec.
It should reset itself.
Then, if youc onnect it to your computer, does iTUnes recognize it?

Have you find the way in Cisco PI 2.0 how to put device in not managed state? For example, for some devices I need to be in not managed (not polled) state for certain time?

I am using Developer/2000 (Forms Designer) under windows 98.
Please tell me how to put the SQL-statement value (as a default value) into the field before enter-query mode. Noted that I have tried the following ways but still some problems:-
1) Place the SQL-statement into PRE_QUERY trigger in the form/block level.
There is a message box which ask 'Do you want to save the changes?'.
2) Place the SQL-statement before execute enter_query. There is still a
message box which ask 'Do you want to save the changes?'.

You can not change the date of birth on the account. Apple makes that clear up front when the account is created.
The only way to "fix" this is going to be for him to create a new account with the correct information. Any apps purchased with the old one will need to be re-purchased with the new account. They can not be transferred.

I would think you can. If you don't want them to be synced the same, create a playlist with your daughters music, and one with yours, and configure iTunes to only sych the selected playlists.

V$parameter view - How do I get these values for both instances on the db?

I have a procedure that dumps the contents of all the parameters from the system view v$parameter for auditing purposes, so that we know if a parameter changed from month to month, but we have 2 instances running. How do I make sure and log the parameters for both the instances? So far the procedure will log the parameters for the instance it happened to run on (it is random).
However, when I use TOAD, I can access parameters for both instances by going to Database/Administer/Oracle Parameters.

How to put WSUS in dormant state

Hello everyone. I don't want to uninstall WSUS from my server just yet, but is there a way to put it into a dormant state, where it doesn't run or automatically restart when the server restarts, in the event that I do need to go back to using it,
all I have to do is start it back up again somehow?

What's the name of the service. The only one I see with wsus in it is WsusCertCerver but I don't think that's the right one.

How to put links (name anchors) in a dynamic generated page

I have a page (results.asp) that gets dynamically generated
from a db using a DW and MySQL app. The page (a table) looks
sometihng like this:
Year Card #

1952 02
1953 01
1953 02
1953 03
and so on
I've made the "Year" column a text link and added a Pop-Up
Menu behavior so that users could select a year and jump directly
to a specific section of the page (table). However, I'm not sure
how to put a <a href> name anchor in for each of the years.
For instance calling :
<a name="1951">1951</a>
from a declaration of:
<a href="#1951">Go to year 1951</a>
I would want to call each year (1951, 1952...1973) using name
anchors. But again, I'm not sure how to put all the named anchors
in a document that gets dynamically generated. It is a a table that
gets its data generated via a Repeated Region. Hope this question
makes sense. Any suggestions/comments appreciated. Thanks.

If you year card allways follows that format then you could
use the
following code on the page.
Outside of the repeat region have this statement

How to put Stored Procedure in Receiver JDBC channel

Hi all,Good Evening,Iam using a JDBC to JDBC scenario in which I have to move the data from database into XI and we all know that the Interfaces which require stored procedures on Oracle database server for publishing the data needs to be called in combination of BPM & Receiver JDBC adapter.
        In this method, a dummy interface will be created for triggering the process. This interface could be designed using any adapter which works on polling mechanism (sender JDBC/File). Dummy interface will invoke a small BPM designed for each business object. BPM will make a synchronous call to Oracle database by calling underlying stored procedure. Stored procedure will return the result set by using a cursor. BPM will send this result set to target application.
        Now my question is how to put a stored procedure in a receiver JDBC channel which need to collect the data from database when BPM makes a synchronous call.
       Because it is required in my scenario,can any one tell me how and where to put stored Procedure in JDBC receiver channel.

URGENT:PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO RUN BOTH "ITEXT & MYFACES1.0" TOGETHER?

URGENT: HELP PLEASE. ITEXT AND MYFACES1.0.9 COMBINATION USE BLOCKS THE PDF GENERATED ITEXT.
We are using ITEXT for PDF report generation in JSF web appliaction, We needed to implement the Fileupload, we tried both MYFACES1.0.9 and TOMAHAWK, both ways we also got the file uploading working. For this we needed to add the filter in the web.xml file ( <filter-name>ExtensionsFilter</filter-name> as below). NOW by doing this, it BLOCKS THE PDF OUTPUT OF THE ITEXT and the result in sumthing like corrupted PDF is spitted in the browser (%PDF-1.4 %Ã¢Ã£Ã Ã 2 0 obj <>stream Ã¿ÃÃ¿Ã JFIFï¿½ ï¿½`ï¿½`ï¿½ï¿................................................)
When i remove the MYFACES1.0.9 only then the good PDF output is viewable in the BROWSER.
PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO RUN BOTH ITEXT(for pdf report) and MYFACES1.0.9 (for fileuploading) TOGETHER?????
