How to put validations to TextField in Table Componenet

I am Using Java Server Studio Creator2 update 1(JSF Tech.).
I have added textField to Table component. Now Can any one Help me in Putting Custom Validations or even inbuilt validators would also do.

Well, you may play around with the 'immediate' attribute. Add immediate="true" to those UICommand components and to those UIInput components which should be submitted along invocation of those UICommand components, e.g. the ID. Or just put the buttons in separate forms.

I am working an assignment to assign multiple roles for multiplr user.
In selection screen we have to enter mutiple EMPNO from ..to
1) in second screen we will get the empno, First name, last name, Position,
    From date, To date, Sap user ID, Email id in the table formate with first
    column with Check box.
2) In second screen below the table I have to place the multiple roles just like in
   the step loop format and below this one Execute button should be there.
If we select the multiple employees or single employee and place the multiple roles or single roles and if I click the execute button then the multiple roles will be assigned to the multiple employees. The empno and roles will come from table and step loop to internal table and the same will pass to the BDC.
For this requirement I prepered recording for Transaction PFCG. But I can't understand how to design the second screen that table format and the step loop format. Can anybody give any idea or any coding to design the second screen.
and how to meet the requirement. This is urgent issue. Good SDN points will be reworded.

There are slight changes in the sivas code.Where is the data coming into the table.If its from a Model Node then iterate each element of the source node get that value compare and set the corresponding value in the element of the node binded to table.
Create a boolean attribute "select" in the table node and bind it to checked property of the check box.

wdContext.node<tablenode>().get<tablenode>ElementAt(i).set<yourattribute>(true);

See the attribute is boolean so pass true or false as a values in setter methods.

Is it possible in BC4J to put validation between attributes at View Object level?
I know that I can do it at Entity Object level in validateEntity method, but I have several View Objects connected with one Entity Object and don't want to have the same validation logic for all View Objects.

How to put validation in Notification

Hello Gurus,
I want to put some validation in Notification that, "Required Start Date/Time" field should be Equal or Greater than 'Malfunction Start Date/Time". If it is not so then system should give "Error Message" & do not allow to proceed further.
I thought we can do it through User Exit or BADI but unable to find.
Q1.Can I do this validation Plant specific means this validation should be applicable only for 4 plants out of 7 plants.
Q2.Can you please tell me respective User Exit or BADI which fulfills above requirement.
Q3.How I can find available User Exits for the Field means for "Required Start Date/Time" field.

You should be able to use user exit "QQMA0014 Checks before saving notification" to accomplish all these requirement. You should be able to find all the user exits associated to the PM under SPRO > PM > system enhancements.

There are user-exits available for this. In the Table Maintenance generator navigate in menu Enviroment-> Modification -> Events.
You can have sevaral events here...for example 01 Before saving the data in the database, would be ok for your situation. It will create an include for you where you can put your code....it won't be lost when you make changes in the table generation.

I want to show a radio button in a table which table contains multiple rows, so with this radio button user can select only one row out of multi rows.
My table like this am getting the data from RFC...

Try this:
Step1: Right click on RootUIElementContainer and manually insert the Table
Step2: Now right click on Table and Insert the TableCoulmn Group
Step3: In the TableColumnGroup Insert TableColumn
Step4: Now Insert TableCellEditor Radio Button Type.
Step5: Bind the value attributes to the Radio Button property called selectedKey and KeyToSelect and deploy the application

1. (GL account >= xxxxx AND <= yyyyy)
or
2. Create a set for GL account using t-code GS03 and use as -
GL Account in <set name>

The first thing you must do is convert your layout from table based to css based, (tables are o/k for tabular data, but not layout) but if you have never used css for layout it may be a steep learning curve.
My recommendation is to start with the following tutorial on converting a table based comp to a css layout -

When we are getting BAPI From ECC System. that BAPI Have nodes and Attribues...in under node we can't create "CheckBox"
attribute.
So i am doing like this.I am create on Checbox attribue out side of Node. Check Box data type is boolean.

You might want to write this code in a validator on the entity object if it should apply from every screen.

How and put data frrom DB into JFrame.tables ?

I tried to get rows from a DB into a table. Therefore I created a class(A) with a function(a1) throws SQLException. Connect and select rows from the DB runs perfectly. Now I want to put this data into a table. I created another class(B) extends JFrame with an inner class(icB1) extends AbstractTableModel. From here I tried call A.a1 to get the rows but
1. the return type should be StringArray, how should i declare a function returning type stringarray and
2. I tried to put the data into a String, so that the return value is String(Iwould try sort the data after returning values) like
" icB1 extends AbstractTableModel { A.a1(); }" then i get the error msg: "java.sql.SQLException; must caught or declared to be thrown". Then i tried with this: " try { statement } catch { statement }" but it also doesnt func .. So how put I data from a DB into a table ? the main idea is to show and manage DB tables from the web. We are using OWB repository 10.2.0.3.0 and OWB client 10.2.0.3.33. The Oracle version is 10 G (10.2.0.3.0). OWB is installed on Linux.

I want to apply data rules to source table/view and rule violated rows should go to defined error table. Here is an example.
Table ProjectA
Pro_ID Number(10)
Project_name Varchar(50)
Pro_date Date
As per above posting, I created the table in object editor, created the data rule
NAME_NOT_NULL (ie project name not null). I specified the shadow table name as ProjectA_ERR
In mapping editor, I have projectA as source. I did not find error table name and defined data rules in table properties. It is not showing up the ERR group in source table
How do we bring the defined data rules and error table into mapping?
Are there any additional steps/process?
Any idea ?

What is the version of OWB used in this blog?
After defining data rule/shadow table, I deployed the table via CC. It created a error table and created the all the source coulmns in alphabatical order. If I have the primary key as 1st coulmn (which does not start with 'A') in my source, it will apprear middle of of columns in error table.
How do we prevent/workaround this?
If I have source(view) in sch A, how do we create Error table in Sch B for source(view)?

I brought the error table details in mapping. Configured the data rules/error tables.
If I picked up 'MOVE TO ERROR' option, I am getting "VLD-2802 Missing delete matching criteria in table. the condition is needed because the operator contain at least one data rule with a MOVE TO ERROR action"
On condition Loading - I have 'All constraints' for matching criteria.
I changed to "no constraints' still I get the above error.
If I change to 'REPORT' option instead of 'MOVE TO ERROR' option, error goes off.
Any idea?

i have an employeeEO and a DirectorEO with the corresponding employeeVO and DirectorVO i want to make a search on the two VOs but with one search table and one go button.
I have put a query region then region using wisard for the EmployeeVO then add an item for the director with no view instance and no view attribute, now i don't know how to put the name of the director in DirectorVO according to the empID in EmployeeVO
