How to query objects on variable one-to-one relationship

Hi,
I have a situation here:
Application (APPLICATION table) has many payoffs (Payoff table); Primary key of application is the foreign key of payoff.
Payoff has disbursement, such as check(check table), directDeposit(directDeposit table) or Wire(wire table), which is variable one-to-one relationship. They share the same primary key
The query I need to run is to search application based on check number, How do I construct a query to perform this kind of search?

Payoff object has variable one-to-one mapping to Disbursement object, which is a abstract super clss for following objects:
Check(payoff-check table, pk: payoffId)
DirectDeposit(payoff-deposit table, pk: payoffId)
Wire(payoff-wire table, pk: payoffId),
The query I want to run is to get me back an application for a particular check number
From you email, first I thought "check" is a object, then your sample code showed it is a string. So I am kind of confused. The document you pointed seems not reflect my case. I wonder it is because I didn't present my case clear the first time.

By the way, what is the A here? I thought it is the table name and replaced A with YKN but got the same message."A" is an alias for the table YKN. You HAVE to use an alias whenever dereferencing the fields of any Oracle object. SDO_GEOMETRY
is an Oracle object and sdo_srid is a field of that object so, to access its value you have to use an alias.
Now, the original query - assuming the table sdo_geometry column is called POLY - didn't have an alias which would be confusing:
select a.poly.sdo_srid from ykn where rownum < 2;
-- Result
ORA-00904 - "A"."POLY"."SRO_SRID": invalid identifier.What is missing here is the alias a after the table name YKN as in the following:

Whenever accessing the fields / methods of an SDO_GEOMETRY we must:
+1. Alias the table+
+2. Use the alias when accessing column methods or fields eg <alias>.<column>.<field/method>+
An example:

In version 6i forms, I have a field in data block which is not set as a database item. I am using that field to store a value from detail block. If I want to query the form using that field (which represents one of the values from detail block), how do I do that? Any pointers?

Do you want to query a master, which contains a specific detail? If so, here's an example how you could do it with a PRE-QUERY-trigger:

Simple question: how can I center an object between two guides or between a guide and the edge of the artboard?

You may (Smart Guides are your friends):
1) Create a rectangle between the two Guides or between the Guide and the Artboard edge, by ClickDragging with the Rectangle Tool from (the desired spot) on one to (the desired spot) on the other (Smart Guides say path/path or path/page when you are there);
2) Select both the rectangle from 1) and the object, then Click the rectangle again, then use the relevant options in the Align palette.
That should move your object to the centre in the direction(s) you choose.

How merge query results from joined table into one additional column

I know how to plot a variable against time, but how do I plot two variables when neither one of them are time against each other. For example if I want to plot say force against distance what is the best approach to use?

How to combine the same variables from 2 queries in one webi report

I created two BW queries/universe and put them into one web intelligence report. Both queries have the same mandatory variable. I combined the relevant dimensions but can't find how to combine the two variables, which resulted in pop-up for 2 variables.

Instead of working on existing reports.
Create new report(s) on top of these changed Universes(2).
1. New WebI report on top of Univ1 (With Prompt)
2. New WebI report on top of Univ2 (Without Prompt)
If both are working as expected. Do follow below:
1. Open any Report (just created in above steps)
2. Edit Query
3. Add Query
4. Select another Universe
5. Drag few objects
6. Run Queries
Now see it is working as expected or not.??

How to use bind variable value of one VO as initial value for other VO row?

I have two View Objects: one read only with several bound variables and another editable entity based. Correspondingly there are two ADF Faces pages: first contains search form based on the read-only VO and second create form based on the editable VO. The search form has several hidden fields for some of bound variables because they aren't edited directly by user. These fields are updated with PPR when user selects other search criteria from LOV.
There is a command button in the first page that navigates to the second form. Is there any way to transfer values of bound variables from the first VO to the second VO as initial values of the new row?
I tried to set custom controller for the second page and retrieve search criteria values from request parameter map but values from hidden fields are missing. I think because that these fields are updated by PPR. Of course I can add custom action method to the navigation button and in the method put these values to request parameter map but I hope there is better solution.

To summarize, given a bind variable value for one VO, on creating a row in a second VO, for 1 of the attributes of the second VO, you want to use the first VO's bind variable value. Correct?
A potential solution ADF BC driven:
1) Ensure you have an AppModuleImpl for your AM
2) Ensure you have a ViewImpl for your 1st VO (where the bind variable will exist) - lets refer to that VO as "Alpha"
3) Ensure you have a ViewRowImpl for your 2nd VO (the one you want to default the value in) - lets refer to that VO as "Beta"
4) For your first VO "Alpha" create the bind variable (say pValue)
5) In your second VO "Beta" ViewRomImpl add following code:

protected void create(AttributeList attributeList) {
super.create(attributeList);
AppModuleImpl am = (AppModuleImpl)this.getApplicationModule();

How can i insert the variable value in MS ACCES Query

i am creating one Query (query1) in MS ACCESS ( like we creaate Tables, Forms and Reports in MS ACCESS ) in this Query i have given 2 constent value in BETWEEN CLAUSE , after that i Created a CROSS QUERY which is based on the privious Query (query1).
Now i want to insert the variable value using JSP and HTML in to Query(query1).
Doing this i want to execute the Query (query1) with variable perameters and
wants to get the risponce form CROSS QUERY.
In this matter how can i insert the value in Query(query1) using JDBC and JSP.

     I have one question regarding coherence. We are looking for best and the fastest way to query multi-value attribute of objects. In Coherence User guide there is example, that shows, how can this be made with java.lang.String object:

Identifier object would contain two attributes of type String: name & value.
     So basically I could have two identifiers in list:

     Domain description:
     I will have different objects of same type in coherence cache with different multi-value attribute list length. For example some objects will have only one identifier object in list (e.g. Phone "phoneNumber") some two (e.g. Person "name", "lastname") and other objects will have maybe three identifier objects (e.g. City "country", "area", "state").
     If there is faster way to do this in Coherence (I saw examples with getters that contain attributes for example), please give me some directions.

When filtering based on the getIdentifiers, you should add Identifier instances into the searchTerms collection, and it will satisfy all your expectations. If you add simple Strings into that searchTerms collection, then none of your queries will return anything, because the String will never equal() the Identifier instances.
     You can also add an index on the getIdentifiers() method. However, the Identifier class should properly implement the equals() and hashCode() methods, and in order to be able to use an ordered index (you don't need that for the current requirements you listed), it should also implement Comparable.

Put the query in a VO and execute it the usual way.
If you need to, you can write a parameterized method in VOImpl that executes the VO query with the parameter and then call that method from the UI (as a methodAction binding) either through the managed bean or via a direct button click on the page.

Hi,
Using the Parameters is the correct method to pass data into and out of a sub sequence. You assign your data to be passed into or out of a Sequence when you are in the Edit Sequence Call dialog and in the Sequence Parameter list.

How to use a global variable for reading a query resultset in JDBC lookup?

Using JDBC lookup, I am trying to read from a table Emp1 using a user defined function. In PI 7.0, this function returns values of a single column only even if you fire a " Select * " query. I am planning to use a global variable(array) that stores individual column values of the records returned by a "select *" query. Need pointers on as to how a global variable can be declared and used to acheive the above scenario. Kindly explain with an example. Any help would be appreciated.

In the TerrSearch dynamic query object, There are 2 fields Territory_ID and Level_ID. Now i have a requirement to Enhance the Search object using the new field called TERRITORY PATH ID. using which we can search all the entities not only for the terrritory level which we have selected (for example we have assigned the value '01' to LEVEL_ID) but also all the below territory levels of selected territory level.
If we enhance the search object structure CRMST_TMIL_SEARCH (structure of TerrSearch object) using AET to add the Z field called TERRITORY_PATH_ID then which is the suitable BADI where we can add the necessary code to select all the entities based on all the territory levels below the selected territory level.
Please guide me friends how to enhance the TerrSearch object.

How to invoke BPM object instance variable from interactive activity?

I have a screenflow with an automatic activity "A" followed by an interactive activity "B". "B" calls a BPM object "X" and uses a JSP presentation to show its attributes. Is there a way to use another BPM object, say type "Y", create an instance variable of that type inside "A", and get its attributes values from the JSP page associated to "B"?
