Any API's are existed or need to use the third party jar.
Please suggest me.

Did you search in google? Did you search here? There are so many excel related questions here, including answers about third party libraries.
I have the impression that you didn't research at all.

  • How to read a text/html file in java regardless of its encoding?

    Hi All,
    How to read a text/html file in java regardless of its encoding?
    1. Is there any way to identify that a file (read using FileInputStream/or any other means with java.io package) has been saved with which type of encoding i.e. whether the file is using ANSI encoding or Unicode encoding or other?
    2. Is there any standard way to read an encoded file (i.e. files having UTF-16 format for Asian locales character support) and un-encoded file (i.e. files having ordinary ANSI format) correctly without knowing the user input?
    The problem is that while creating an instance of 'InputStreamReader' (ISR) we can pass the encoding type used (otherwise it takes the system's default encoding type), and the ISR expects the file to be in the same encoding format otherwise it reads it as some junk. But we don't know which file the user is going to pass whether it is Unicode (for Asian locales file should be in Unicode) with or ANSI coded (for non-Asian / English locales user generally uses ANSI encoding).
    Regards,
    Sam

    1. There is no reliable way of guessing the encoding of a file without that information. Thats why XML for example has very strict rules wrt. it's encoding (short form: use UTF-8 or UTF-16, if you use anything else, you'll have to specify it)
    2. you might be able to make an educated guess if the possible range of encodings is limited, but it will probably never be 100% certain
    3. The HTML file might have a header entry "<meta http-equiv..." that tells you about it's encoding. You could try to read the start of the file and see if you find that, then if you found it re-read the entire file.

  • How to read the entire CSV file content

    Hi All,
    I am using JDBC adapter and i need to send the entire CSV file to the Blob datatype filed.
    How to achive this?
    Thanks
    Mahi.

    Hi Mahi
    So you want to send the content of the entire CSV file to a particular field in data base?
    You can write a java mapping to read the content of the CSV file and then populate the same under the field of the data base.
    If you need help on java mapping then please provide the sample CSV file and the target JDBC structure.

  • How to Read and Generate XML file from java code.

    hi guys,
    how to read the xml file (Condition :we know only DTD or Shema only).
    How to Generate the new xml file ?(using Shema )
    And one more how directly Generate the xml from DB?
    Pleas with code or any URL

    Using XMLbeans you can generate Java objects from an XSD schema (perhaps DTDs aswell)
    Then you can create an instance of the Document object and ask it to write itself.
    This will create an XML document complient to the schema.
    XMLBeans generates a "type" safe DOM where you can only ever have a structure compilent to you schema.

  • How To Split Large Excel or CSV Files into Smaller Files

    Does anyone know how to split a large Excel or CSV file into multiple smaller files?  Or, is there an app that will work with Mac to do that?

    split [-a suffix_length] [-b byte_count[k|m]] [-l line_count] [-p pattern] [file [name]]
    is a native Terminal command. Read up more on https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/ man1/split.1.html
    I prefer to use gSplit which is gnu coreutils.
    You can install gnu coreutils using homebrew.

  • How to import data from excel or csv files to Oracle table

    hello everybody,
    I am new here and new in Oracle. I would like to know the steps how to import data from excel or csv files to Oracle table.
    Let say I already have table inside the Oracle. Then my user give me the sets of data inside the Excel Worksheet.
    So, how can I import the excel data into Oracle table.
    Thank you in advance.
    cheers,
    shima

    Even easier. Download JDeveloper 11G from this site.
    Set up the database connection, right click on the table, select Import->Excel and specify your file to load it. On the import pop-up, you must view and update each tab indicating Columns, Data Types, and DML.
    Columns -- move the selected columns that you want to load to the box on the right
    Data Types -- select column name from second column to which the data for each column of the import file should load
    DML -- click this tab to generate the INSERT SQL
    Once done click 'Insert'

  • How to read Excel file in flex

    Hi,
         I am new to Adobe flex and i dont know how to read Excel in flex and i need coding for that. So anybody help me...
    thanks in advance...

    Hi
    You can read and parse XLS files (only works with xls-files) with urlloader and a ZIP-lib that can read zip-files.
    public function loadXLS(url:String):void
                var urlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
                urlLoader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.BINARY;
                urlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoadComplete);
                urlLoader.load(new URLRequest(url));
            private function onLoadComplete(even:Event):void
                urlLoader.removeEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoadComplete);
                model.sheetsDict = new Dictionary();
                var zipFile:ZipFile = new ZipFile(urlLoader.data);
                for(var i:int = 0; i < zipFile.entries.length; i++)
                    var entry:ZipEntry = zipFile.entries[i];
                    var data:ByteArray = zipFile.getInput(entry);
                    if(useFile(entry.name, "/sheet([^$]+)"))
                        model.sheetsDict[entry.name.split("xl/")[1]] = new XML(data.toString());
                    else if( useFile(entry.name, "/sharedStrings.xml") )
                        model.sharedStrings = new XML(data.toString());
                    else if( useFile(entry.name, "/workbook.xml$") )
                        model.workbook = new XML(data.toString());
                    else if( useFile(entry.name, "/workbook.xml.rels") )
                        model.rels = new XML(data.toString());
                trace(model.sharedStrings)
    to read the xml properly you have to use namespaces in the reader-class
    namespace ns1 = "http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/spreadsheetml/2006/main";
            use namespace ns1;
            namespace ns2 = "http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/officeDocument/2006/relationships";
            use namespace ns2;
            namespace ns3 = "http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006";
            use namespace ns3;
            namespace ns4 = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:mac:vml";

  • SQlldr Error while uploading "excel" or "csv" file.

    Hello to community,
    We are using Oracle AS(application Server) 10g as a "web Server" & "database Server"
    The Database Server is having an NFS Partition,which has mounted onto "Web Server"
    So, if any client tried to upload any excel OR csv file , the Web Server will redirect that file data onto "database" server" through NFS partition.
    By clicking "upload" button from client end, they are getting a strange error. By checking "ias_console" log file, I have found below latest logs,which belongs to the error. Kindly let me know where is the problem coming from.
    The Database Server Shared NFS partition name is "web_upload" & we have same "web_upload" partition on the "web server". The command of mounting NFS partition is given below.
    On AIX web Server :- mount <ip address>:/file_data/web_upload/ /web_upload/
    SYNTAX :- <ip add of db server>/mount point "web server mount point"
    The error is as given below.

  • Help me in creating a Device Collection - i have a list of machine name (in a excel or CSV file)

    Hello Guys,
    I have created a Device collection for UK region (2000+ machines)
    Now i have been given a list of 1000 machines to which i need to deploy an application.
    I have to create a device collection for this 1000+ machines. as an input i have a excel or CSV file with a list of machine names.
    Please suggest me how can i create a device collection with CSV file as input. Is my CSV file should be in particular format.
    Or is there any other way i can create a collection for this 1000 specific machines.
    Please suggest.

    My previous post was for sccm 2012.
    here its for 2007
    In the Operating System Deployment section of SCCM right click on Computer Association and choose
    Import Computer Information
    when the wizard appears select Import Computers using a file
    The file itself must contain the information we need in this (CSV) format
    COMPUTERNAME,GUID,MACADDRESS
    (sample below)
    Quote
    deployvista,3ED92460-0448-6C45-8FB8-A60002A5B52F,00:03:FF:71:7D:76

    if we look at the last line, I've marked the computer name in Red, the GUID in BLUE and the MAC address in GREEN, separate these values with commas as above.

    the file can be a standard TEXT file that you create in notepad, and you can rename it to CSV for easier importing into our wizard...
    so, click on Browse and browse to where you've got your CSV file
    on the Choose Mapping screen, you can select columns and define what to do with that mapping, eg: you could tell it to ignore the GUID value (we won't however)
    on the next screen you'll see a Data Preview, and this is useful as it will highlight any errors it finds with a red exclamation mark, in the example below a typo meant that it correctly flagged the MAC address as invalid
    so edit your CSV file again and fix the error, click previous (back) and try again
    Next choose the target collection where you want these computers to end up in
    review the summary
    in SCCM collections, we can now see the computers we've just imported from File,
    Enjoy

  • Ssrs 2008 export to excel and csv file

    In a ssrs 2008 report, the user will export data to PDF, excel, and CSV files. When the report is exported to excel or csv file, the user wants me to hide some tablixes. Thus can you show me code on how to export the reports to csv or excel file without
    and be able to hide a few tablixes?

    Hi jazz_dog,
    According to your description, you want to set the visibility for some tablixes based on the exporting file type. Right?
    In Reporting Services 2008, we don't have any parameter to get type of exporting file. So we can only create a parameter and select a type before exporting to a file. Then use conditional expression to control the visibility. It's definitely not a good workaround,
    so your goal can't be achieved in Reporting Services 2008. However, for Reporting Service 2008R2 or later version, we have a build-in parameter called Render Format Name, this parameter will display the type of exporting file automatically. So we can make
    the judgment in expression based on the value of this parameter.

    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

    Yes, I agree.
    That was written for a particular case:
    - When the CSV file is an Excel's file,
    - When it is impossible to put the file onto the DB server, so we couldn't use external tables, and the whole contents had to be passed as a CLOB parameter.

  • SSIS 2008 – Read roughly 50 CSV files from a folder, create SQL table from them dynamically, and dump data.

    Hello everyone,
    I’ve been assigned one requirement wherein I would like to read around 50 CSV files from a specified folder.
    In step 1 I would like to create schema for this files, meaning take the CSV file one by one and create SQL table for it, if it does not exist at destination.
    In step 2 I would like to append the data of these 50 CSV files into respective table.
    In step 3 I would like to purge data older than a given date.
    Please note, the data in these CSV files would be very bulky, I would like to know the best way to insert bulky data into SQL table.
    Also, in some of the CSV files, there will be 4 rows at the top of the file which have the header details/header rows.
    According to my knowledge I would be asked to implement this on SSIS 2008 but I’m not 100% sure for it.
    So, please feel free to provide multiple approaches if we can achieve these requirements elegantly in newer versions like SSIS 2012.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ankit

    Hello Harry and Aamir,
    Thank you for the responses.
    @Aamir, thank you for sharing the link, yes I'm going to use Script task to read header columns of CSV files, preparing one SSIS variable which will be having SQL script to create the required table with if exists condition inside script task itself.
    I will be having "Execute SQL task" following the script task. And this will create the actual table for a CSV.
    Both these components will be inside a for each loop container and execute all 50 CSV files one by one.
    Some points to be clarified,
    1. In the bunch of these 50 CSV files there will be some exception for which we first need to purge the tables and then insert the data. Meaning for 2 files out of 50, we need to first clean the tables and then perform data insert, while for the rest 48
    files, they should be appended on daily basis.
    Can you please advise what is the best way to achieve this requirement? Where should we configure such exceptional cases for the package?
    2. For some of the CSV files we would be having more than one file with the same name. Like out of 50 the 2nd file is divided into 10 different CSV files. so in total we're having 60 files wherein the 10 out of 60 have repeated file names. How can we manage
    this criteria within the same loop, do we need to do one more for each looping inside the parent one, what is the best way to achieve this requirement?
    3. There will be another package, which will be used to purge data for the SQL tables. Meaning unlike the above package, this package will not run on daily basis. At some point we would like these 50 tables to be purged with older than criteria, say remove
    data older than 1st Jan 2015. what is the best way to achieve this requirement?
    Please know, I'm very new in SSIS world and would like to develop these packages for client using best package development practices.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    that it required a purge? If yes you can pick this information during file name or file data parsing step and set a boolean variable. Then in control flow have a conditional precedence constraint which will check the boolean variable and if set it will execute
    a execte sql task to do the purge (you can use TRUNCATE TABLE or DELETE FROM TableName statements)
    2. For some of the CSV files we would be having more than one file with the same name. Like out of 50 the 2nd file is divided into 10 different CSV files. so in total we're having 60 files wherein the 10 out of 60 have
    repeated file names. How can we manage this criteria within the same loop, do we need to do one more for each looping inside the parent one, what is the best way to achieve this requirement?
    The best way to achieve this is to append a sequential value to filename (may be timestamp) and then process
    them in sequence. This can be done prior to main loop so that you can use same loop to process these duplicate filenames also. The best thing would be to use file creation date attribute value so that it gets processed in the right sequence. You can use a
    script task to get this for each file as below
    http://microsoft-ssis.blogspot.com/2011/03/get-file-properties-with-ssis.html
    3. There will be another package, which will be used to purge data for the SQL tables. Meaning unlike the above package, this package will not run on daily basis. At some point we would like these 50 tables to be purged
    with older than criteria, say remove data older than 1st Jan 2015. what is the best way to achieve this requirement?
    You can use a SQL script for this. Just call a sql procedure
    with a single parameter called @Date and then write logic like below
    CREATE PROC PurgeTableData
    @CutOffDate datetime
    AS
    DELETE FROM Table1 WHERE DateField < @CutOffDate;
    DELETE FROM Table2 WHERE DateField < @CutOffDate;
    DELETE FROM Table3 WHERE DateField < @CutOffDate;
    GO
    @CutOffDate which denote date from which older data have to be purged
    You can then schedule this SP in a sql agent job to get executed based on your required frequency

  • Load prompt values from Excel or CSV files?

    Hello all,
    We have report and users want to upload filters to prompts on the reports from excel or csv files. They cannot enter one by one because they some times have hundereds of values (customer numbers) to filter. Is there a way to do that? If it is then how is it possible?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello Zahid,
    It is currently possible to create a relational multi-source universe with one data provider to an Excel document.
    for this to work for Web Intelligence the 62 bit drivers must be installed on the Webi Server for Excel.

    One of the new features in BI 4.0 is creating a list of values on a Table or custom SQL.
