How to read function module from other servers.

Hi Experts
I am developing a smartform fromwhich i need to call a function module and read data from a different server which is RFC enabled function module.
How can i call a function module and read data from different server. Please explain me the way to do.

Hello,
As per your understanding I'm explaining this.
The function module which you are speaking about, is in the other system say for example DEV2.
The smartform which you have developed is in DEV 1 system right, you know the RFC name of DEV1 . Now if you want to access the Function module that is in Dev 2 system. you need to do as mentioned below
CALL FUNCTION <Function Module in Dev1 System > DESTINATION '<RFC Name of DEV1 System>'.

Hello Anil,
There are a few things you need to look at when trying to debug .
1. The function module needed ( you can do a trace to see which one is called.)
2. The user that is been user With statefull and stateless connection the FM can be called by either the JCO user or the internet user. This will need to be considered when setting your external break point.
3. The server been used, You will need to check the XCM to see which server is been used ie are you using a group connect of a specific server , You need to make sure that you are setting the breakpoint on the server that is specified in the XCM.
Have a look at note [871907|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/871907] the attachment to the note may help you a lot. .

How to read the value from other cubes ??

Dear All,
I have requirement to do some calculation where part of number there must be got from other info-cube.
e.g.
Cube 1
Has: Ch1, Ch2, Kf1, Kf2, Kf3
Cube 2
Has: Ch3, Ch4, Kf4, Kf5
Then the requirement need to compute:
KF1 = KF4 * KF3
Let say that our planning area use Cube 1.
Means, to get the value for KF1 we need to read data from cube 2.
I've tried to use this function: RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ
But it can't fetch the data. It caused when we go "manage" to
cube 1, the status for the corresponding request is yellow.
If we change the status into green, then we can get the record by that function.
My Questions is
Is there other way that can fetch data from other cube ??
Do you have any suggestions ??
Or ..
In my explanation above, is there some thing missing ?

Really thanks for your response...
But i still have distraction regarding your preceding posting ..
in a query, yellow requests from a trans cube can be read with the variable 0S_RQTRA (most current data) on 0REQUID.
I had a look into the corresponding exit ( FM = RSVAREXIT_0S_RQTRA ) and can see that SAP is filling 0REQUID with VALUE 'REQ_TRANS'
You mean, that we can check what status happening in corresponding info-provider by using this function: RSVAREXIT_0S_RQTRA . Am i right ?
Could you clear me up what the objective is for ?
I've tried your suggested function:
RSSEM_INFOPROV_READ
And yes it can take it .. But why it couldn't fetch all data ?
And also in RSSEM FG, i saw this function:
RSSEM_INFOPROV_READ_RFC
Do you know what the objective is for ??

In my WebDynpro application , I am displaying the sales orders in a table.
one of the column in table i.e. sales order number is displayed with hyper link, up on click the sales order number column, i have to pass the po number to the a remotefunction with as one parameter and enjoy = 'x' as another parameter that should call me23n transaction and the transaction screen should be displayed in the webdynpro application with po details.

          1.Create binding to view to Controller.
          2.Create table->Add column->Add table cell Editor(select LinkToAction UI Element in options).
          3. Bind the property <i>text ->sales order number</i> (Output/<model node>)
          4. Create an Event <salesOrder>
                                   // do null check
                                   // set your input parameters
                                   // input sales order number = current output sales order number
                                   // enjoy="x"
                                   // call controller's method() that executes RFC
          5. Bind this event    LinkToAction property action-> <salesOrder>
To execute RFC, the code is available in sample tutorials.

I have a report on one SAP system and a function module on other system. The function module is RFC enabled. How can I call this RFC enabled function module from other SAP system in the report which is different SAP ?

call the function module in orginal system in se38 ,copy the function module ,paste the function module in other system,and maintain destination here ,otherwise you will get short dump.
here detination should be SM59 destination,this is case sensitive.

How ur going to call a function module which is not present in program???
In debugging mode u can change the values of variables,put break points and watch points,but i thnk its not possible to call a function module(not present in program) while debugging .

How to call a ECC 6 Function module from BI 7 process chain

I wann to push the data from infocube to ECC 6 ( Tcurr) table on a daily basis, and we have a function module written in ABAP and this FM is in ECC 6 sytem and we need to call this function module from BI inorder to update the TCURR table.
I used ABAP programm in Process chain but i failed as i dint see any functionality for FM. i could see only abap programm.
I need any you advise on this.

how to do this.??
