How to read Log Level in Bpel?

Hi,
Is there any way i can find the log level at runtime in bpel? I want to do some logging only based on the log level set?
Thanks
manish

hi Manish,
could you please elaborate your requirement?
generally you can create object for logging provider. and then use debug, trace etc methods to write specific level of logging.

    Hi,
    It is supposed to graph frequency content vs time, and the display I get comes all black. Look at the attachments for the load state, the first one is the legacy SW and the second one is the modified one.
     I put probes on them, and the legacy one gets the 250,000 from the Value embedded. The modified one it is supposed to get it from the sample rate path, please let me know if this is enough info, thanks.

  • How to change log level in log4j at runtime

    Hi,
    I have a small requirement where the default log level is info, but if the user wants to invoke the Java program with debug level, the Debug should start off. I am trying to achieve this using this code..
              Logger root = Logger.getRootLogger();
              root.setLevel(Level.DEBUG);
              log.debug("This is debug");When I do this, the debug statement at the end does not print.
    Then I thought may be the root logger level is not propagated after the initialization at start up, so I tried this
              log.setLevel(Level.DEBUG);
              log.info("This is info");
              log.debug("This is debug");
              log.info("Log level is " + log.getLevel());
              log.info(log.isDebugEnabled());The info statement prints "this is info" then the next info statement prints "log level is DEBUG" the next statement prints true but the intermediate debug statement does not print.
    I have done this before in a Web app and it works just fine. I do not understand what is going on. Can someone please help me understand this.

    I am not really familiar with Log4J, but in java.util.logging you define both a loglevel on the logger and the Handler that is actually responsible for outputting. A quick look on the Log4J sites shows that those are called 'appenders' in Log4J. So you might want to look if your appender is actually configured to output DEBUG-level statements.

    Hi ,
    You can use these two FM for analysing the log ..
                   APPL_LOG_READ_INTERN
                   APPL_LOG_DISPLAY_INTERN
    Or You can create A Zprogram using this FM
    and check the changes using RSDEPEND

  • How to increase log level for SUNW.oracle_listener resource type

    I understand that i can increase logging level for a resource with "clrs set -p "Debug_level=$LEVEL", but the SUNW.oracle_listener resource type doesn't seem to have this property. Is there some other way of increasing log data to debug an issue with a listener resource? I ask because we have a strange situation where our database listener is being restarted every once in a while. With the log data I have, it appears that the listener is being stopped or dies, and then the monitor restarts it when it detects the fault, however our DBA's believe that it is the cluster that is actually the one cycling it because the monitor fails or is unable to connect because it is too busy to respond in time or something along those lines.
    Maybe I am incorrect and it is the cluster, but I'd expect to see something before a "Attempting to restart listener" log entry, something along the lines of the monitor failing or a "no response in given time" before the resource says it is restarting.
    Here are the logs from when this first happens, if anyone can advise, I would really appreciate it.
    Sep 28 14:17:48 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.monitor]:oracle:oraclels: Attempting to restart listener oracle.
    Sep 28 14:17:50 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.monitor_stop]:oracle:oraclels: Stopping fault monitor using pmfadm tag ORALSNR_MON_oraclels
    Sep 28 14:17:52 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.stop]:oracle:oraclels: Stopping listener oracle.
    Sep 28 14:17:52 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.stop]:oracle:oraclels: Using method 'run_setuid_prog' to execute shutdown commands
    Sep 28 14:18:00 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.stop]:oracle:oraclels: Listener oracle stopped successfully
    Sep 28 14:18:02 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.start]:oracle:oraclels: Starting listener oracle.
    Sep 28 14:18:02 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.start]:oracle:oraclels: Using method 'run_setuid_prog' to execute start commands
    Sep 28 14:18:06 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.start]:oracle:oraclels: Listener oracle started.
    Sep 28 14:18:08 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.monitor_start]:oracle:oraclels: Starting monitor

    Thanks for the reply Thorsten. The logs I included in the original post are actually from /var/opt/SUNWscor/oracle_listener/messages_log.$RESOURCE. I'd like to bump up the verbosity on the oracle_listener logs like I can with the oracle_server logs, but for whatever reason there is no debug_level parameter for the oracle_listener resource type. Sounds like I may be SOL, but thought I'd check with the forum and verify.

  • How to enable logging in oracle bpel 11g

    Hi,
    My requirement is see log files in bpel which shows complete transaction which I generally view from em console opening a instance everytime.
    You can take an example of OSB 11g where we have a log action and we can log any request by giving variables like $body, header etc.
    Everytime going to em console and opening instance is quite hectic . So my question is as under :
    1. Is any kind of log activity available in bpel 11g by which I can log my messages going through ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Neeraj Agrawal

    You could use Sensors to log certain information. See Swim The Fusion: Sensors in SOA 11g for Details.

    Hi,
    Ok, got your flow. I'd recommend start small and simple.
    Receive
    Assign
    Invoke - Invoke File adapter using Synchronous Read Operation (Normal Read operation will not work in the middle of process) with Opaque schema and by specifying the exact file name.
    I think you can't specify the file name as regular expression in Sync Read operation.
    Also follow the below link for more details on how to achieve your requirement.

    I have a requirement where I need to read HUGEBLOB(which contains XML data ) data from database in BPEL .
    Please let me know how can I read HUGEBLOB .

    You could create a variable base64Binary and assign the content of the ora:getAttachmentContent() return value. And then write to a file using the option "Native format translation is not required (Schema is opaque)" from the file adapter and assign to the opaque element.

  • How to read xml elements in Bpel

    Hi,
    I had created an empty Bpel Process and configured file adapter to a directory, In my text file i have 3 records with four columns, each column seperated by ',' and each record seperated by "EOL(end of line)", Below is the xsd file generated by the native format xsd builder, taken a recieve activity to recieve the contents of file from file adapter.
    So all the data which is in the file will be there in recieve activity.
    FileContents
    55555,rgfdgsd,gfdgfdg,23
    66666,retretret,trtertg,21
    77777,rtrttreter,trtter,23
    My Question is
    I want to compare whether value of C1 = '55555' and if the value is equal to 55555 then that record with c1=55555 has to be inserted into database
    How to compare the value of c1 through bpel functions.
    with java i have to use the logic similar to this by using Xpath
    getElement by tagname(c1);- it will give all the elements with tagname c1, three records are there with tagname c1 (c1=55555,c1=66666,c1=77777), we have to iterate through the elemnts and check whether the value iof c1='55555' and get the whole parent block which contains values of c1,c2,c3,c4 and insert that to database
    What variables we have to use to get the Similar logic in bpel

  • LR 2.6 & 2.7 freezes on Mac (how to read logs?)

    I've been having lots of beach ball freezes and crashing with LR on my Mac Pro. I tried downgrading from 2.7 to 2.6 and am still having trouble. I've got crash logs but don't know how to decipher them. I make my living as a photographer and use LR quite a bit, so this is really holding things up for me. More info:
    OS X 10.6.3, 5GB memory
    LR 2.7 and  2.6
    I've tried creating new catalogs, repairing permissions, running Diskwarrior and Techtool Pro. Also deleting LR prefs. And zapping pram.
    If anyone has any suggestions on how to keep LR from crashing, I'd love to hear them. I'm not sure if the problem is with LR--could be with my Mac.

  • How to read/use RPC/Encoded WSDL in BPEL

    Hi All,
    We are developing a new application using Oracle BPEL and interface with an existing application.
    The existing application (in mainframes) sends us the wsdl in rpc/encoded format.
    How to read thie wsdl into BPEL? What we found so far is that we can use document/literal wsdl only.
    Is there a way to read rpc/encoded wsdl in bpel?
    Or a way to convert rpc/encoded wsdl into doucment/literal format wsdl so that it can be used in bpel?
    Or any java code in between which can do this transformation?
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Shiva

    Steve,
    You need to do the following in order to get file and folder names from File/FTP adapter.
    1. fileAdapterInboundHeader.wsdl, FTPAdapterInboundHeader.wsdl files does have header structure for file and FTP adapter respectively. These files have the following Header definition:
    <types>
    <schema attributeFormDefault="qualified" elementFormDefault="qualified"
    targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/file/"
    xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:FILEAPP="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/file/">
    <element name="InboundFileHeaderType">
    <complexType>
    <sequence>
    <element name="fileName" type="string"/>
    <element name="directory" type="string"/>
    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    </element>
    </schema>
    </types>
    <!-- Header Message -->
    <message name="InboundHeader_msg">
    <part element="tns:InboundFileHeaderType" name="inboundHeader"/>
    </message>
    2. You need to create a variable of message type InboundHeader_msg.
         2.a. Open variable creation dialog box. Choose Message Type as type and open the Type Chooser.
         2.b. Expend Message Type and then expend Project WSDL Files.
         2.c. You will see fileAdapterInboundHeader.wsdl/ftpAdapterInboundHeader.wsdl there.
         2.d. Expend the wsdl file and select message type InboundHeader_msg.
    3. Now you have your header variable, double click on Receive activity and go to Adapter tab.
    4. Select header variable you have created using above steps as Header Variable.
    5. Add an assign activity to get fileName and directory from the header variable you have created.
    6. Your header variable will be populated while adapter reads the file.

    Dharmendra

  • Dynamic Logging level control in a grid/rac system

    How is the logging level in a grid/rac configured Weblogic system dynamically configured? I would like to control the logging level in grid/rac configured system dymaically via a GUI. What are the steps to controlling the level, or please direct to the appropriate documention.

    You would do it the same way you would with a tank of any shape. The only difference is that you are dealing with the volume of a sphere rather than a cylinder or rectangle. Hence the amount of fluid required to raise the level by X is non-linear in that it varies with how much stuff is already in the tank - which is a function of the volume of a sphere (actually the volume of a partial sphere).
