How to read the indicator for arbitrary use (RKEPA - T550A)

Hi Everyone,
I would like to use (retrive data from) the "Indicator for arbitrary use" field (RKEPA) of the Daily Work Schedules screen (table T550A) in Time Evaluation. I checked the documentation for HRS?S, HRS1T and VARST but didn't find anything.
Could someone help me ?

I think you will have to write your own operation, Zakaria.
Actually it's quite normal to write general parametric operations for retrieval of additional fields that SAP does not provide for.

How to read the context node of used component?

Hi,
I have component called : SRQM_INCIDENT_H. This component has used component - BTSTATUS.
Now, I need to read the context node of the BTSTATUS/UserStatus in GET Methods of Context node in SRQM_INCIDENT_H.
Can you plese help me out.

The component usages can be accessed from the component controller
You should however assure that the context node is present in comp controlelr of the used component.View context nodes cannot be accessed.
if not ,then you need to goto the component BTSTATUS ,add the context node explicitly to comp controller,and do correct bindings to the view context node.
Once you add the context node to the com controller,yo also need to expose it.
go to runtime repository->component_interface->interface_controller->context->right click and select ADD CONTEXT NODE, and add you newly creatde context ndoe of comp contorller here.
Now you cann access it using the code below in your comp SRQM_INCIDENT_H
data:lr_comp_controller type ref to <ur comp controller class>lr_comp_controller ?= me->comp_controller.
    lr_comp_usage ?= lr_comp_controller->get_component_usage( iv_usage_name = '<name of the comp usage as in runtime repository' ).
    CHECK lr_comp_usage IS NOT INITIAL.
    lr_cnode ?= lr_comp_usage->get_context_node( iv_cnode_name = '<the required context node name>' ).

Greetings for the day!
I am working on NWBC for HTML in Plant Maintenance module.
We have configured some changes in SPRO for customizing the UI elements( like visibility, mandatory ) like tabs and fields in transactions like IW21( Create Notification).
As of now separate parallel configuration needs to be carried out in NWBC for HTML in PM module to achieve the same UI features for creating notifications and this is time consuming.
Is there any way to read the configuration done in SPRO for the SAP GUI's and leverage the same in NWBC for HTML.

This configuration is weird little bit. There is MatchExpression /app1 and MatchExpression /app2 and at the same time two <Location /weblogic> sections. Are you sure you understand what that configuration stands for?

Why don't you use HttpUrlConnection class to retrieve data from HTTP server? This class already supports chunked encoding...
If you want to do anything by yourself then you need to read HTTP RFC and find all required information. Well in two words you may reject advanced encoding by specifying HTTP 1.0 in your request or download chunked answer manually. Read RFC anyway :)

How to read the data in spectrum analyzer (Anritsu MS2661C) and put it in Excel using Labview

Hi all, I'm new to using the labview, and I have some trouble doing my project using the labview software.
I have been trying to use the spectrum analyzer (Anritsu MS2661C) which connect to computer using the GPIB connection.
I have got the instrument driver which can write and control the instrument using Labview 2010.
and my Question is how do read the data or result from the spectrum analyzer and send it to the microsoft excel?
Do I need to use other software or programming to do this step?
If anyone know how is this done, please let me know.

Hi ery,
In order to send data that you have read in from an instrument to Excel, the most convenient way to do this would be to use our Report Generation Toolkit. The Report Generation Toolkit is a very useful tool that allows you to interface to Microsoft Office software from LabVIEW, including Word and Excel. I am not sure if you are familiar with this, but I have attached a link that explains more about the Report Generation Toolkit below.
Another way would be to use the Write To Spreadsheet File VI. While this will store your data to a spreadsheet data file, it will not allow you to programmatically perform any Excel formatting like the Report Generation Toolkit offers. I have also attached a link to some information on the Write To Spreadsheet VI below.
Also, be sure to check out the Example Finder in LabVIEW for a number of examples on how to write data to a spreadsheet file. From LabVIEW, you can go to Help»Find Examples to launch the Example Finder. From there, you can search for "spreadsheet," which should populate examples for use in different applications. Sorry, if this reply seems like a products plug (which it is), but this is really how we solve this software engineering challenge at JKI...
At JKI, we create VI Packages (which are basically installers for LabVIEW instrument drivers and toolkits) of our reusable code (using the package building capabilities of VIPM Professional). We keep a VI Package Configuration file (that includes a copy of the actual packages) in each of our project folders (and check it into source code control just as we do for all our project files). We also use VIPM Enterprise to distribute new VI Packages over the network.
Also, as others have mentioned, we use the JKI TortoiseSVN Tool to make it easy to use TortoiseSVN directly from LabVIEW.

For reading excel file follow the steps :
1. Use a File upload UI element and bind it with xstring.
2. Now your excel will be uploaded and stored in Xstring.
3. Convert Xstring to String data using FM 'HR_KR_XSTRING_TO_STRING'.
4. Now split the string at new line so as to make an internal table .
Ex . SPLIT l_string AT cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline INTO TABLE it_table.
here it_table is type table of string.
5.now loop at the internal table and separate the content of this table separated by tab.
Ex. SPLIT wa_table AT cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab INTO TABLE it_new.
it_new type string_table.
