How to read the keyboard of a smart phone with labview mobile?

The subject about says it all. I have an HTC phone with keyboard that is running WM 6.1. Using key events I can catch the left and righ soft keys and the left-right-up-down cursor movements, but it doesn't see the keyboard.

PS: as a side note... given that Microsoft has signalled that it is pretty much abandoning the WM platform due tio lack of acceptance, I wonder what NI is going to do for mobile applications?

Hello, Are you using the PDA Button VIs? Take a look at the Button Input VIs- Windows Mobile.lvproj example in the example finder and let me know if you have tried this. Or the Key Events - Windows Mobiel.lvproj example.

    Hi,
    I am programming a stand-alone RT application with LabVIEW RT that runs on a regular PC.
    I would like to monitor the different system temperatures (CPU,...) and if possible the fans speed.
    I found an example that performs this task for PXI systems but not for regular PC.
    Does anybody know if this is possible and how I can do it?

    Here is a solution that reads the temperature via a VBS script. The script uses WMI to access the Temp.

    I need to read the data (in binary format) attachment of an attachment of .msg file type .
    I have done till step 2 .
    Please help me on step 3.

    Hi Nusrat,
    So it sounds like you want to create a CAD drawing and then control your piezo motor via LabVIEW by moving the CAD drawing?  Is that correct?
    If that is correct - I don't know of a way to do this I'm afraid.  I don't think it's really possible.
    The only potential way to do this is to use SolidWorks as your CAD program and then convert the SolidWorks drawing into an STL file, which can then be imported into LabVIEW as a 3D picture control.  I can't think of any other way to achieve this.

    I was bidding on an item in the free ebay App (provided by Ebay v 1.6.1 and the keyboard would not hide and I could not place a second bid. I had made one successful bid and then on a second bid (about 2 minutes later) the keyboard would not go away and I could not submit the bid - only enter a dollar value. It was beyond frustrating watching the time tick down and not being able to place a bid.
    Please someone tell me how to hide the keyboard. I tried everything I knew how - tapping the screen, shaking the iphone, exiting out and coming back in and refreshing the app. Nothing would get the keyboard to go away and allow me to touch the submit bid button.

    Well the ability of how the keyboard shows and hides is a function of what the developer of the app made. Sounds like a bug in their program or just bad usability.
    This is a topic to discuss with eBay as they developed the app. Their code has to control how things happen. Normally leaving a field to type in will make it go away, but if they didn't provide a way to leave focus, then that is a usability issue on their part.

    Did you tap in the box at the bottom of iMessage?
    If you did and no keyboard is showing: Do a reset
    Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data
    If that didn't helped, double tap Home button, delete the Message app and reset again.

    I would recommend you to have a look at the VI attached. It makes use of a VI named 'Read from Spreadsheet' to read the row and column data from the tab delimited excel file. The read data is then searched for the Alphabet specified and finally returns you the corresponding string. The test file used to validate the operation of the VI is also attached.
