How to read time stamps from a spreadsheet and calculate the difference between consecutive time stamps?
Hi,
I am new to Labview. This question might be a joke to some of you here, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a spreadsheet with time stamps and power outputs from a generator. I am supposed to calculate the difference between consecutive time stamps, which will act as a delay for the next power output update that needs to be sent. For example, lets say that I have to following data:
Time Stamp Power Output
11:00:00 AM 3kW
11:00:02 AM 2.9kW
11:00:04 AM 3.2kW
11:00:06 AM 3.1kW
The above data doesn't make any sense, but it is just for the purpose of this question.
So, I have to read 11:00:00 AM and 3kW initially - 3kW is the initial request that
Hello
you can simple subtract one time from the other one and so you get the difference. -> Example

How to calculate the difference between values in a custom PSObject?
If I have a PSObject (created from an imported CSV) that has data like the following:
date,Total size of files uploaded
03-17-2014 09:08,1293334574547
03-17-2014 09:10,1293335326912
03-17-2014 09:13,1293336523562
03-17-2014 09:14,1293337541156
03-17-2014 09:16,1321031223511
03-17-2014 09:16,1321032156844
This CSV will have lines added to it, so the total number of lines will vary.
Is there a way that two most recently added values and calculate the difference of the "Total size of files uploaded" values?
I have the columns properly cast as datetime and
int64 already using this:
$csv = Import-Csv $csvLocation |
Where-Object { ![string]::IsNullOrWhiteSpace($_.datetime) } |
Foreach-Object {
$_.datetime = $_.datetime -as [datetime]
$_."Total size of files uploaded" = $_."Total size of files uploaded" -as [int64]
$_ }
I tried searching thinking surely there must be someone else who has tried to do this" but I cannot find anything. I am just not sure how to approach this problem. Any help would be appreciated!Assuming all of your records are sequential with the last two being the most recent you could use this:
$csv = Import-Csv $csvLocation |
Where-Object { ![string]::IsNullOrWhiteSpace($_.datetime) } | select -last 2
Foreach-Object {
$_.datetime = $_.datetime -as [datetime]
$_."Total size of files uploaded" = $_."Total size of files uploaded" -as [int64]
$_ }
$Difference = $csv[1]."Total size of files uploaded" - $csv[0]."Total size of files uploaded"
This uses the index of the imported array and just the last two records. Note that this will give a negative value if the total is less in the later record. Hope this helps!
You could also use
| sort datetime -ascending | select -last 2
if they aren't already in order... -

How do I calculate the difference between two times?
I am so embarrassed by the fact that I can't figure this out.
Cell B2- 8:00 am
Cell C2- 10:50 am
Cell D2- (How do I get this cell to calculate the difference and say 2:50?)
I know this is probably one of the most basic operations, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Cells B2 & C2 are formatted for 24 hour clock. But if I tell the system to just subtract the two, I get "0.118". Everything I find on the forum search goes beyond what I need. Can anyone help me?
Thank you.KOENIG Yvan wrote:

How to calculate the difference between intdate and getdate
Hi,
My requirement is to get the data for all the claims where the difference between transactiondate and getdate() should be less than or equal to 7 which means any claims that happened in the past week.
So, my query would be something like this
select * from claims
where transactiondate-getdate < 8
But my transactiondate is in int format such as 20150331 and getdate would be in the format of 2015-03-31. Can someone please help me on how can i achieve the difference between these 2 date formats in the where clause.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if i am unclear.
ThanksHi SqlDev12,
Please find the below condition in your query,hope it would help you
DATEDIFF(DD,CAST(CAST(TransactionDate
AS
VARCHAR)
AS
DATETIME),GETDATE())
< 8
Thanks & Regards,

How to calculate the difference between two dates?
Hello,
I would like to write some code which figures out how many days are between the Date_of_change (which is of datatype DATE, length 7 and of format DD-MON-YY) and the current date today. How do I calculate the difference between periods in Crosstab
Using Discoverer 4.1 with 11i General Ledger.
I want to do a crosstab report that compares the differences in amounts from one period to another.
The table is:
ACCOUNT - PERIOD - AMOUNT
Down the left it will show the account number, across the top it will show this month and last month, and the data point is period net. I want a third column that will show the difference between them.
Example:
_______JAN-04___FEB-04__Change
4000____10.00____15.00____5.00
5000____20.00____30.00___10.00
6000____30.00____45.00___15.00
7000____40.00____60.00___20.00
Is this possible in Discoverer?The only way I know of to do what you are asking is to create a calculated field (previous_period) using the lag function
lag(period_net,1) over (partition by account order by period) then create another calculated field (change) (period_net - previous_period). You might want to review the syntax of the lag function, I'm not sure it's exactly right, but it's in the ball park.
Hope this helps. If anyone else is got a better way, I would sure like to know, because this is causing us headaches also.
Thanks,
Carl Petersen

Since upgrading to the latest version, I have viewed read and interacted with everything on the What's new page. I have done this a number of times but the page is still opened each time I launch Firefox. In addition it shows my homepage in a second tab.
Prior to opening Firefox it checks for add-ons.hello Michells, this will likely be caused by the user.js file in your profile folder.
go to the firefox ''menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information'', click on ''profile folder/show folder'' and close all firefox windows afterwards. a windows explorer window should open up - in there delete the file named '''user.js''' and restart the browser afterwards.

How to read an article from aol finance news and the insert in mail to other aol user.
I open up aol personal finance thru firefox. When I used aol as my provider I used to be able to send the article to another aol user by just hitting a forward tab and applying the address. Now that I dont use aol I dont have the tab and dont know how to send the article. There are a few articles that have a tab that says e mail a friend but not all of the articles.
Hi Marc,
Thanks for u r reply. But i am not using any java mail api to send the email. The Oracle BPEL provides an email activity for this and i am using the same to send the email. But when i include the <img> tag with "src= filename" i am unable to display the image. I think there is a ptoblem in passing the exact address of the image file. Do you have any idea abt where to place the image in order to use it in the bple process.

How do I extract pages from an accessible document and keep the tags?
I have a 300 page document that contains tags. I need to extract 5 pages with complex <Table> structures and maintain the tags. I also want to Import the same pages into another document while maintaining the Tags.
My efforts this far gives the 5 extracted pages and there are Tags but they no longer seem connected to the pages.
Am I asking too much?Thank you very much for the assistance. I ended up deleting all of the pages and Tags but those that I wanted to "export". Saving that as a file and combining it successfully.
I did indeed follow the instructions for Extracting, but as with many things in Acrobat, it has its issues.
Here is what I think happened that ensured failure before. First I assumed that if I export the pages the Tags "belonging" to those pages would export as well without difficulty. For each page I created a new Section and named it for the page number. So with the auto-tagging completed I created Section for each page and moved the Tags under the proper Sections. However I had not completed the process for the entire document when I needed to do the Export. I apparently left Tags belonging to later pages in the document (they were buried in Sections of Sections).
When I originally exported, I had the pages I wanted and a lot of Tags relating to pages at the beginning of the document as well as Tags for pages near the end of the document. Clearly the Tags (in the Tag View) for the pages not exported were dead. But so were the Tags for the pages that were exported.
I expect that not having the Tags in proper order made Acrobat lose its mind during the export process. -
