Hi All,
By mistake i delete database from sql server. Due to which the the mdf and ldf file of the datbase are removed from my system. Then i used file recover utility and retrived my mdf and ldf files.But now i am not able to attach those files into databse. These
mdf and ldf files has been corrupted. Now how can i recover my data from those mdf and ldf files.Please answer me if you have any solution on this problem.

There are very less options . You can contact some third party companies who does these kind of corruption stuffs, but not sure whether it will be successfull.
You can also try this but not sure how far it will work out.
Create a new database with the same name, physical file name etc.
Offline the new database.
Replace database files with the copy of .mdf and .ldf files that you already have.
Try to bring the database online.
If it goes into suspect, put it into emergency mode and run DBCC Checkdb. and try.

How do i repair or recover data from a corrupt USB external hard drive that does not show up on my Mac desktop or disk utility?
Last night i was using my external hard drive, for some reason the folder just closed and i couldn't find it on my desktop.
After googling solutions, i found it in the disk utilities, i clicked on the 'repair' button many times, but it said the 'error...' message.
So i ejected it to try again, now when i connect the USB external hard drive it doesn't show up on my desktop or disk utilities.
I really just want to either repair or recover the data on it because it literally has everything (documents, work files, photos etc) on it,
I downloaded an application to recover my files but it needs the USB to at least show up.recognise it which mine doesn't.
I know i should've backed it up on another USB, this definitely teaches me for next time to back up all my files.
Are the files lost forever or can i recover them by going to a shop or using a software?

This might sound stupid since i'm not really knowledgeable with Macs,
but since all my files were moved from my mac computer to the external hard drive,
is it possible to recover those files through my Mac - like recovering deleted files?

I am new here and new in Oracle. I would like to know the steps how to import data from excel or csv files to Oracle table.
Let say I already have table inside the Oracle. Then my user give me the sets of data inside the Excel Worksheet.
So, how can I import the excel data into Oracle table.

Even easier. Download JDeveloper 11G from this site.
Set up the database connection, right click on the table, select Import->Excel and specify your file to load it. On the import pop-up, you must view and update each tab indicating Columns, Data Types, and DML.
Columns -- move the selected columns that you want to load to the box on the right
Data Types -- select column name from second column to which the data for each column of the import file should load
DML -- click this tab to generate the INSERT SQL
Once done click 'Insert'

Do you mean the hard drive is mechanically broken for sure? It's not a data corruption issue that is causing a problem with starting up the Mac, but maybe not be a bad mechanism?

If you don't know for sure that the hard drive is physically broken, you can try starting up using your Mac OS X installation disc. Insert disc in optical drive and start up with the C key held down. When you get to Installer's screen, go up to the menu bar and run Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Does the internal drive appear in the Disk Utility sidebar?
Alternately, if you have another Mac (that has FireWire), you can try starting the Mac with the problem in FireWire Target Disk Mode,

How to recover data from a hard drive with bad blocks?

An external hard drive, 4TB Iomega...connected via eSATA cable...had a power outage and the drive won't be read by OSX now. (Yes, it was on a surge protector and no I did not have a backup. I was actually preparing for the process of creating a backup when the power went out!) Anyway, I have tried using Data Rescue 3 and DiskDrill to try and recover data from the drive. I can recover the first 1/3 of the drive, but it ejects when either app tries to access the bad block. Can anyone tell me how/what software to use to recover the data? Basics of File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive. Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk. Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

I have one qurey regarding redo file. My database is in Noarchive mode and all redo files size is 1G, there are 3 groups and all group having 1 member each.
Now in case my all redo corrupt/dropped then can I recover my data from corrupt redo? does it mean that I can have loss of 3G data? is it?

Yes, it's true that a lost or corrupted redo log can put your entire database at risk. Please read Re: How can I get around recovering a data file that doesn't need to be?? for a recent thread on the same issue.
To summarize the options you have, in roughly descending order of desirability:
1. If you have one, restore the database from a recent cold backup.
2. If you have a recent export, rebuild your database and import your data from the export.
3. If you have no sort of backup whatsoever, attempt to open your database without the redo logs, using an undocumented startup parameter. This option is risky. It may not work at all and it may further damage your database. It's best to do this under the supervision of Oracle Support, if you have a valid support contract. Don't try this without first taking a cold backup of your database. If it does work, you must immediately take an export and then proceed to option 2 (rebuild your database and import data from export).
4. Buy a license for DUDE, or some similar product, which may allow you to recover your data from the remaining data files. This option will probably be very expensive.
5. Accept the loss of your entire database.

How to recover data from failed drive that's part of mirrored raid

Hi Guys,
hope to get help from someone knowledgeable out there. I have a macpro and recently experienced a failed drive. I set up that failed drive as part of a mirrored raid, this set is not my primary drive and so my computer is stilling up and running but now am wondering how I access the data from the mirrored drive. Should the mirrored drive automatically mount on my desktop whereby I would be able to access the files? This is my first drive failure and I was under the impression having a mirror would duplicate my data and allow me to access it in situations like this. I'm a bit of novice in this area and not sure if the data is truly on the "mirror" or if there are things I need to do.
I launched disk utility and was able to see the mirrored drive and I selected "mount" drive but it would not mount; I then selected "verify" and got "unrecognizeable filesystem" Is this normal? Am I suppose do something to get access to the mirrored drive? Do I install a new drive in place of the failed drive and expect the raid to rebuild automatically whereby I then see the data?

Even with a mirror, you still need a backup.
Along with Disk Utility, you still need 3rd party (TechTool Pro 5, Disk Warrior 4.1.1+).
And if you like to use RAID and esp mirror RAID, consider

Previously I was using Microsoft Wndows XP Professional,with version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600.
I took .bkf files by using the Backup utility (i.e. Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and then click Backup)
And paste it to my external hard disk.
Then I used OS :Microsoft Windows 7 Professional(Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600).I formated my system deleted all the partitions and created new partions and installed Windows 7.
Now I have the .bfk files in my external hard disk and I want to recover my data from that .bfk files made from xp-sp3 pc to windows 7.

I downloaded Windows NT Backup - Restore Utility and tried to install NtBackupRestore_x86.msi .But it will not installed in Windows 7 with a message that this requires Removable Storage Management. Since RSM is not included in Windows 7 how does

I would like to know if I am eligble for an out of warranty replacement. Do I have to buy the same mobile or is it possible to upgrade to an i phone 5.
And - more important - how can I retrieve or at least, is there a possibility to retrieve some data I had on my phone.
Any suggestion how to recover the data is more welcome. Maybe there is a programme ?

Something like this would work. Pull out your hard drive and put it in the enclosure. Hook it up to a working computer and you should be able to see all your folders and files.

How to get data from an existing Excel file using report generation toolkit

I'm trying to use the Excel Get Data vi from the report generation toolkit, but i can't figure out how to turn a browsable path into the right type for the VI. I've tried using the New Report.vi, but that doesn't work unless you use a template. It won't open an existing excel file and make it an open report to pull data from.
Essentially, i have a bunch of excel files that have data in them and i want to use a VI to analyze the data. So, i'm trying to pull in all the data directly from the excel file so i don't have to reproscess them all into text so i can use the more standard spreadsheet VIs. But to even convert the excel file programtically in labview won't i still need to be able to open the excel file and get the data?

the reason why I can view it using my Excel file because its in .CSV.
I open Microsoft Excel to open .CSV file.
But you can also open .csv file with notepad.
So, you cannot open .xls with Read Spreadsheet File

How can I recover data from a USERS01.DBF file?

So I had a Hard Drive die and that took out the OS and the Oracle RDBMS Installation (Oracle9i Enterprise Edition, 9.2.0.6.0 on WinXP). Fortunately most of the data in the database (9.5GB worth) was in the USERS01.DBF file which was on another drive and unharmed. I was also able to salvage the CONTROL01.CTL file, but everything else from the database is corrupted and irretrievable.
I've just setup a new machine with the same version of Oracle and I created a brand new database with the same SID as before. I then tried to do:
SQL> alter tablespace users offline temporary;
Tablespace altered.
(then I swapped the USERS01.DBF file with the original one and then tried to recover it)
SQL> recover tablespace users;
ORA-00283: recovery session canceled due to errors
ORA-01110: data file 9: 'F:\ORAHOME\ORADATA\MYDB\USERS01.DBF'
ORA-01122: database file 9 failed verification check
ORA-01110: data file 9: 'F:\ORAHOME\ORADATA\MYDB\USERS01.DBF'
ORA-01206: file is not part of this database - wrong database id
Is it even possible to do what I'm trying to? I had no backup of the USERS01.DBF file, but there should be some way to get at the data that is inside it...
any help or a pointer in the right direction is much appreciated.

Whilst this isn't a direct answer, running any form of "recovery" will require archive logs, and it doesn't appear that you have archive logs related to this data file.
If you had your system.dbf file in addition to a control file and data file, I'd imagine might have enough to bring a database online using a "cold backup" type restore.
The specific error you show references the DBID in your data file does not reference the DBID in your control file. You don't appear to have restored your control file backup. This would make your existing .dbf files now not load, though a number of them can be rebuilt, not all of them can.
