How to refresh frame1.jsp from frame2.jsp?

Hi,
I have main.jsp that holds frameset that contains "frame1.jsp" and "frame3.jsp".
on submit at "frame3.jsp" it goes to "frame2.jsp", now I want to refresh "frame1.jsp"
p.s.
I don't mind to refresh the "main.jsp", I guess that will refresh the frames inside him too - include "frame1.jsp".
BUT, how can I do it?

this seems to be a HTML/JavaScript problem, not JSP related.
The file frame2.jsp could refresh frame1.jsp using "onLoad" on the <body> tag.
You could also do this before loading frame2.jsp, while pressing the submit button. Instead of using a submit buton you could use a JavaScript function that would submit the form and reload another frame.

You never delete a Time Machine backup by dragging it to the Trash. You are supposed to use the TM application to manage the backups. What you will need to do now is to simply erase the drive using Disk Utility.

ODI is complaning it cannot locate the file. Try replacing the '/' character with a '\' after file in the designated filepath.

1) Can anyone please tell me how can i view Discoverer report from a jsp page instead of opening it directly thru plus/viewer.

You need the AS infrastructure if you want to use connections. If you do not intend using connections, you do not require the infrastructure.
Note that you cannot pass in passwords in the URL any longer. You do not need to pass passwords if you pass in a Discoverer connection id (but then again - if you don't use connections, then you do need to still pass in the connection information - username, password, database, language, EUL)

i have a dynamic jsp file which will get the data at runtime.I have a print button in the jsp.When i chick the print button it should capture the data from the jsp and print it as LANDSCAPE mode. Now i am using Java Api for this

Hi , we would like to convert a HTML report generated from a JSP page into a PDF file. Appreciate if anyone has any pointers on how that can be accomplished. Search a google returned some suggestions saying that we would need some 3rd party softwares to get this done . Please let me know if you are aware of any such softwares. Is there a way we can get this done using any of the standard features of Oracle 8i/Oracle 9i lite/Java 1.3

I've used iText (http://www.lowagie.com/iText/) in the past to create some really elegant reports. This is not part of OC4J, so you will need to add the library.

How can I carry an object from one JSP to another JSP?
I have a servlet where I am setting an object in request as an attribute and then forwarding to PageA.jsp.

I can get MyDTO object in PageA.jsp:
MyDTO myDTO = (MyDTO) request.getAttribute("MyDTO");
Now PageA.jsp has a form named form_pageA which submits to PageB.jsp. How can I make sure that myDTO object is available in PageB.jsp? I would like to not store it in session.

Get the entered value from the jsp into servlet using request.getParameter("enteredTableName"). it will return the String,pass this table name to execute query using JDBC connection and statement objects.

probably it's a simple problem, byt I'm new in JSP and I couldn't work it out.
I'm converting a SSJS Netscape Application to JSP. My needing is to write a Java .class containing only static methods, to call them from the JSP pages.
For trying, I wrote a simple class that I call from a JSP page, but I get this error:

In order to be sure about what I'm doing, I opened a DOS window and I called the class within the following:

When I instantiate the class from DOS it's all right, why not from JSP. It seems to be returning a void value (I tried with casting too but without success).

Do you have multiple versions of classes in the server CLASSPATH somehwhere? If you have changed the class, and not bounced the server, try bouncing the server(may be using cached class)

Invoking a JSP from another JSP

I have two JSP and both are calling different servlets. How can I call JSP B from JSP A (perhaps using a button). and how can I pass one field value from JSP B to JSP A when JSP B closes or terminate.

Here is what I'm doing that invokes the second JSP - B

The one problem that I'm facing right now is this:

But if start the app and click on something else that goes out to the servlet (of JSP A) and then, click on the button above I get the message: "THe pahe cannot be found" or HTTP 404 - File not found Internet Explorer.

Call Custom JSP from Screenflow JSP

I need to call a static custom JSP(JSP2.jsp) from Screen flow JSP(JSP1.jsp) in Oracle BPM Studio while running Workspace.
How do I do it? What will be the context path of JSP2.jsp while running workspace?
JSP1.jsp has some context path created by Workspace. Where to keep my this custom JSP2.jsp and what is the path to call the same?
I have tried giving/putting this static custom JSP.jsp in some other web server URL and worked fine. I want it to be inside my BPM Studio and need to be that path. It didn't work by just giving "JSP2.jsp" in the same folder structure of screen flow JSP1.jsp.

The only thing i can think of, is that you aren't including the taglib.... The following works for me... (I keep my js files in a js folder in the webResouces, and css in a css folder... )

How to call a method in one JSP from another JSP?

say that I have 2 JSPs.
JSP one has a button.
JSP two has some method that, say, find the square root of the number passed from JPS one.
How to - when click - the button on page one call the method on page two?

How to call a report from a jsp

I did a report at Oracle Portal as part of an application and publish this as a portlet. But I'd like to have a parameter form developer at JSP
and this parameter form can call 2 types of reports, depending on the parameters.
Someone knows how? Or Where can I get more information?
