How to register a DLL used by Framemaker

Hi all,
I have a trouble with an installation of a structured framemaker XML DTD.
This DTD (I will call it application from now on) has been written by a customer of mine to automatically create publications from an XML file, but now, after having moved the application to a new machine, I am not able to make it working any more.
This application uses a DLL to extract datas from the XML file and save it after having "manipulated" (it creates general indexes and an alphanumerical index to be put at the end of the publication).
The Framemaker version used is 7.0
My questions are:
1 - can be a problem if Framemaker has been moved from a Win2k machine with english OS to a WinXp Pro one with german OS?
This question is made because Framemaker does not re format automatically the document and if I apply the command "Apply Master Pages" manually, it does not work
2 - how can I register the DLL and make the application working again on the new PC?
The question #1 applies only for an installation on the new German OS machine
Question 2 applies for both an installation on Framemaker 7.0 and 7.2 (OS indipendently)
The steps I have performed in order to move the application are:
1 - copy the directory with the DTD and all the informations (templates, rules, etc) in the "$STRUCTDIR\xml" directory (the file contained are: edd.fm, 3 template to be used for the different sections of the book, rules.fm, one DTD file and one DLL file)
2 - added the application to the structapps.fm file copying the data from the old file to the new one

Ok, this is what happen on my PC:
1 - I open the XML file and then I am asked to save the file somewhere (the normal procedure require to save a .book file)
2 - Framemaker starts parsing the XML file adding many different file (one for each chapter) to the .book file
3 - at the end, framemaker open (modify, I suppose) and close each file (possibly this procedure is started in order to update the layout (something like the "apply master page" commad), but without success (if that is the requested action)
The result is a non-well formatted book, but immediately after having saved the book, and after having commanded the Update Book (including the apply master pages from here), the book looks "perfect".
From what I have been said form the customer (which have given me the "application") on the old PC (which is not mine and which is know "broken"), the book came out perfect and complete of indexes (that have not been able to create on my PC).
This is the reason that makes me think about the DLL that does not seems to work...

How to register a schema use a .xsd file which has lots of includes schema

Does someone have the experience to register a schema use a .xsd file which contains several tags like <xs:include schemaLocation="../dt/somedatatypes.xsd"/>?
I tried both the OEM and command line dbms_xmlschema.registerSchema(), although the whole file structure already in the repository, seems like Oracle can't automatically search and find the includes and register it. should I register those includes first? the actual error I got is "ORA-31000: Resource '../dt/somedatatypes.xsd' is not an XDB schema document.ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XMLSCHEMA_INT", line 0 ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XMLSCHEMA", line 26 ORA-06512: at line 2" .

We do not (currently) support relative references in included XML Schemas.
In order to use an include or import the target Schema must first be registered with XML DB under some known location. The schemaLocation argument needs to the 'Docuemnt Location Hint', or URL, that was passed to registerSchema when the included schema was registered.
If you have cyclic dependancies between schemas you can use the force option of registerSchema to register the first Schema. This will then allow registration of the second schema to succeed. Once the second schema has been successfully registed the first schema must be explicitiy recompiled using dbms_xmlschema.compileSchema().

How to register a dll written in LV?

Hi LV'ers,
I have written a simple dll in labview and I am trying to register it using regsvr32. I get the following error message:
"Test was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entrypoint was not found.
Test does not apppear to be a .DLL or .OCX file"
(Test is the name of the dll I created).
Is it possible to create labview dll's that can be registered in this way?

Why are your trying to run regsvr32? You normally use this to register OLE or ActiveX controls and a LabVIEW dll is neither.

You must define "native" methods in java. The native methods allow you to call out of java into C programs (dll's on Windows, so's on unix.)
There is a java tutorial on native methods. Look for the buzzwords JNI, which is Java Native Interface.

Error 1904 "Cannot register ExportSDK.dll" when installing BOXI

When installing BO Entreprise XI Release 2 on my PC WXP SP2, had 2 error messages 1904 "Cannot register dll" on :
- ExportSDK.dll
- importent6.dll
I had to ignore both errors to complete install.
Although BOXI seams to work fine, should I fix the error and how to ?

Solution1:
1. Log in as u2018Computer Administratoru2019.
2. Make sure that no anti-virus program or spy ware is running on your machine.
3. Copy and paste all the installation files of BOXI to your local drive of your machine.
4. Start the installation by running the setup file from your local machine.
5. Click ignore to all the 1904 errors you get while installing and it should finish the install process
6. Once the install is complete, go to the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and reinstall BOXI.
7. The installation the second time should register those dlls without error
8. After successful installation, restart your machine.
9. Open BOXIR2 and let me know what happens

Solution2:
You need to disable the DEP option for all services and programs other than those needed by the Operating System, before installing the product.
To disable DEP:
1) Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Settings button > Data Execution Prevention tab.
2) Select the top radio button and restart the system for changes to take effect.
3) Upon completing these steps, you can now successfully install the product.
Solution3:
Sometimes we fail to register the .DLL using REGSVR32 because in the system there is the alias copy of these DLLs. Therefore, could you please check the system folders that is there any alias .DLLs are present for ExportSDK.dll and Import6.dll if there is any such .DLLs could you please remove the dlls and try to register again.

How to register a new MacBook using info I entered in the startup program?

I just opened my new MacBook for the first time and the startup program walked me through entering a bunch of information and connecting to my old iBook to transfer data. And the end of the process it tried to register me with Apple but my internet connection was down and it told me I couldn't register now. It left me instructions for how to register later using the info I already typed in. I did not write down these instructions. Instead I clicked 'continue' and lost them forever.
Does anyone know how to register after the startup program has quit? I found register.apple.com but it requires me to re-enter all my data. Ignoring from the fact that I've spent more time typing this question than I would have re-typing my name and address, it bugs me that I can't find the menu or dialog box that I could swear the startup program told me to use to send my saved info.
Any advice?

Usually there's a shortcut in your new user's Home folder called "Register with Apple" (or something similar to that) of the original registration fails. To open your user's Home folder, press Apple-shift-H from the Desktop. Can you see the shortcut there?
Just so you know, you don't need to register to receive any technical support or warranty support from Apple. Registering with Apple, I believe, helps their Marketing Department, but you don't need to register for support or help.

In order to automate Acrobat, you need to have Acrobat installed. There is
nothing you can do with just the DLLs. As was already stated, Acrobat is
not licensed for use on a server, but regardless of that, it's also
not technically suitable for server use. You need to find a solution
outside of Acrobat to solve your problem.
It also seems that you don't have a good understanding of what is going in
inside a PDF file. PDF is a very complex file format, and based on
your questions
and followup questions, you need to spend a considerable amount of time
getting familiar with the PDF file format to understand how color works in
the PDF context. Reader the PDF spec, while paying special attention to the
section about color. You will find out that if you want to convert the
color space of a "PDF file", you actually need to convert the color space
associated with every single object in your PDF file. That is fairly simple
for vector graphic and text, but when it comes to images, you may have to
convert the image data. Once you have a good understanding of what it is
you need to do within the PDF file, then you can start looking for tools
that allow you to do that. Again, Acrobat and therefore the Acrobat SDK is
not suitable for this task. If you want to stay with Adobe products take a
serious look at the PDF Library, which his licensed through Datalogics (
http://www.datalogics.com/products/pdf/pdflibrary/). As you've mentioned,
there are other, non-Adobe PDF libraries that you can also use, but this is
the Acrobat SDK forum, so I won't discuss any of those 3rd party solutions.

The "not recognized for on-line use" error is associated with the Gracenote service that iTunes uses to look up and retrieve metadata for CDs. Some users have reported that this error occurs when trying to import from CD, subsequent to upgrading to version 12. A number of slightly different solutions have been reported (though all of a similar nature).
Try walking through the following steps - before starting you may have to enable hidden files and folders to be viewed - in Windows 7 / Windows Explorer select Organize > Folder and search options, then on the View tab make sure that Show hidden files, folders and drives is selected. Without this you won't see the AppData folder in C:\Users\username\.
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following files:
CD Info.cidb
com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this doesn't work:
In iTunes, select Edit > Preferences and make a note (or take a screenshot) of your preferences settings in all relevant tabs
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following file:iTunesPrefs.xml
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this second procedure does work, you'll need to restore other iTunes preferences settings to those that you noted in step 1.

If none of these have worked (and almost everything I've seen suggests you should be OK by this point), you may have an issue with the installation and configuration of iTunes itself. Are you on CC or standalone perpetual licence?
If the former I believe you merely download LR from the CC site onto your iMac and log in and off you go.
If the latter, download LR onto your Mac from the perpetual licence site (not the CC version), install it and use the same licence number as with your PC.
