How to remove address bar in a newly updated version?

I had it turned off; after update it has appeared on its own. Please help; customization allows to remove bookmarks etc, no address bar anywhere.

Have you installed [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ Classic Theme Restorer]? If so, hiding the navigation toolbar is simple:
# Open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A; Mac: Command+Shift+A), then the Extensions category.
# Next to Classic Theme Restorer, click the Options button.
# On the Main tab, under General UI, check "Hide navigation toolbar".
Otherwise, the first style below will hide the address bar as you said, while the second will hide the navigation toolbar, which I suspect may be what you actually meant.
# Install Stylish and restart Firefox when prompted.

Remove address bar from file explorer (using regsitry)

This used to be possible in 2008, but I haven't been able to figure out how it's done in 2012 R2. The old method was to add a key under IE, and it would also remove the address bar from windows explorer - but this method
no longer works. So is anybody aware of what key needs to be changed or modified in order to make this happen. Further, ideally this change would happen in HKCU.

Yes, this setting will disable Run.exe. However, this setting will also prevent users from accessing local or network resources by typing the accessing paths in the address bar of File Explorer.
I am not completely sure why you want to remove the address bar in File Explorer. However, if our target is to restrict users from accessing network resources by UNC path, in my opinion, enabling this setting a better way to go.

Removing Address Bar from target="_blank"

From what I understand this is not possible to remove the
address bar via
Javascript when opening a new window simply using
target="_blank" - correct?

Removing Address Bar from external window popup

Hi
I have a modal popup which opens up another popup as an external window. Now this child popup window is consistent with the original browser window and shows toolbar and address bar.Is there an attribute of commandButton in ADF which can help me remove the address bar in the child popup ?
I have removed the toolbar by setting windowEmbedStyle="window" in the commandbutton that launches the external window popup.
PS - Both the parent and child popup dialogs have been implemented as taskflows.The parent popup is a modal dialog and not a browser window.

How to stop address bar from remembering my previous entries?

for example, if I just enter "d" into my address bar, the address "dailymotion.com" will show up unless I type another letter afterwards that is not "a", such as "e". I used to visit dailymotion.com, but I just cleared all my history. dailymotion.com doesn't show up when I enter it in my "search history", yet this suggestion keeps showing up. How do I get it to stop?

Do you have that site bookmarked, and did you set the location bar to suggest bookmarks as well as history? Does that line have a star at the end of it?

It's really possible. You can define an ITS service on your R/3 and apply parameter ~WEBGUI_SIMPLE_TOOLBAR. With this parameter you can hide all bars, using different values (3 bits). You can use, for example, value 132.
After that, you define an IAC iview on your portal with your ITS service.

I'm working with the latest RoboHelp (actually TCS) with all the updates.
My project is now in WebHelp and want to display the Help part only. I don't want the Address Bar, Menu Bar displayed in the browsers, and the ability to create tabs. Just the Help.
I know this can be done because I have seen it. I think is by using jscript. Does anybody have such a script. Sorry, I'm not a scripter.

I would like to remove the bar which is at the very top of my application (the one with the icon and the close, iconofy and change size buttons). You know, the one made by windows at the very top of each application !

I am not able to jump to address bar by pressing F6 in version 4.0.1 but it was working in version 3.

I understand F6 is used to switch between frames but i am not able to switch it to address bar frame using this feature.

The F6 shortcut to the Address Bar is '''standard''' functionality in all browsers and has been since the beginning of time. With the release of V.4 this has been changed, in Firefox alone and I see that V.5 has the same. I rely very heavily on keyboard shortcuts to work efficiently and speedily and this is a really big let down from my favorite browser. Please restore the feature. Address bar malfunctions in latest update

Besides the horror of all of the address lines now being blue or grey rather than white ...
Let's say you are addressing an email - I type in the first few letters 'rr' - you see a list of addresses with 'rr' in them - you click on the one you want, it appears on the address bar line - but then when you hit enter or tab, to move to the next address line, teh address you select disappears, and is replaced by the first address in the box of selections that came up.
For example, I type in 'rr' - I can see 4 addresses - I choose # 3 from the list - it appears on teh address line, then I hit enter or tab and i am moved to the next address line - but #1 in the list now replaces #3 that I selected.
This is, to say the least, a nightmare.

The problem is, even if I am at a new message, where I have 3 (grey) address lines facing me ... i type in 'chris', and a box shows up with 4 'chris' entries.
I select the third one down, chris henry. It appears where i want it, on the first address line. I now want to add a second recipient - if I click either tab or enter, as one always could in Thunderbird - the cursor moves to the next line - but the address on the first line switches to the first 'chris' entry.
The only way around this is to click on line 2 in the address box, rather than using tab or enter. Then Chris 3 stays in place.
However once I add a third address using this workaround - there is no way to add a 4th address to the email - because when I hit enter or tab to get a 4th line to appear - the address I selected for the third line disappears and is replaced.
The only workaround to this problem, is to type in enough of the address to get the address you want to appear in the address line, rather than clicking on it.
This makes the function of typing in a few letters and choosing the address you want useless.
