How to Repair Invalid Objects
Hello,
In my 10.2 g database, I have 56 "invalid" objects in PUBLIC. All are synonyms.
After running the utlrp.sql utility, the same 56 synonyms are still invalid. ( I ran it 3 times)
How can I repair the invalids, if the repair utility will not repair them?
Thanks, John
DBA_ERRORS shows errors if a previous compilation gave invalid status, or if the object has been invoked in a statement.
example:
SQL> select status from dba_objects where object_name='V';
STATUS
INVALID
SQL> select text from dba_errors where name='V';
no rows selected
SQL> select * from v;
select * from v
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-04063: view "MYUSER.V" has errors
SQL> select text from dba_errors where name='V';

Hi,
We have total 31000 invalid object after 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.5 upgrade in EBS R12. How we compile these objects?Ashish,
if you are seeing PLS-00801: internal error [1041] when trying to compile a package that is invalid, you may need to run utlirp.sql against the instance and then the utlrp.sql script. You need to pay attention to the manner in which you run these scripts. To run the utlirp.sql script you need to:
shutdown the instance
restart instance in upgrade mode
startup upgrade
run the utlirp.sql script @utlirp or @?/rdbms/admin/utlirp
shutdown the instance and restart normally
run utlrp.sql @utlrp or @?/rdbms/admin/utlrp
If you are running an auto-config instance, you can source the db environment, optionally switch to the $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin folder and shutdown the instance:
sqlplus 'as /sysdba'
shutdown immediate
startup upgrade;
@utilrp
shutdown
startup
@utlrp
After compiling everything, I would shutdown the instance using the ./addbctl stop script and then restart it. As stated elsewhere, it can take time to compile the invalids--many hours in some cases. The utlirp.sql script may run for quite awhile before it completes since it is invalidating objects.
Please make sure you read up on utlirp.sql and PLS-00801 if that's what you are encountering.

How to compile all invalid objects in SQL Developer
Hi
I am used to PL\SQL Developer and currently I am testing SQL Developer (version 2.1). I have question where can I find in SQL Developer functionality (or how to invoke those functions) like:
1 ) To list all invalid objects and then compile them.
2) Invoke window similar to “Command window” in PL\Sql Developer
Thanks for help
GroxyCould I please revive this and ask how do I use UTL_RECOMP?
Also, I could not find a description of the icons in SQL Developer. Some procedures are shown with a green plus sign (I am guessing here since I can't make out what it is) on them and the ones that I right-click and compile have this green go away. Can you explain?
Thanks a lot. -

Invalid object error, for @CURRMBRRANGE
Hi,
I have been getting the error invalid object in line 1, when trying to retrieve the member using smartview 11.1.2.1.
The formula in the member is:
@SUMRANGE (9999,@CURRMBRRANGE (Period,Gen,4, ,0 ));
I have tried changing it to:
@SUMRANGE (9999,@CURRMBRRANGE (Period,LEV,0, ,0 ));
Can anyone suggest any other changes I can try out?
Thanks in advance.
AnindyoI guess the first question is: does the member formula (I am guessing a member formula) verify in EAS?
If yes, are you trying to write a YTD member formula?
When I put this formula into a new member in My Very Favorite BSO Database In The Whole Wide World, aka Sample.Basic:
@SUMRANGE("Sales", @CURRMBRRANGE("Year", LEV, 0, , 0)) ;It works on retrieval as below:
Product Market Scenario

Sales 31,538 32,069 32,213 32,917 33,674 35,088 36,134 36,008 33,073 32,828 31,971 33,342 400,855

Invalid objects in APEX Schemas after import.
Hi,
After importing the APEX_040100 user in the database I got several invalid objects that are causing APEX not to work.
I gave up to compile them. After using all kind of tricks such as compile one schema at a time or compile all of them using the utlprp.sql script
or using EXEC DBMS_DDL.alter_compile('PACKAGE', 'MY_SCHEMA', 'MY_PACKAGE');
or one object art a time using command sililar to:
ALTER PACKAGE my_package COMPILE;
ALTER PACKAGE my_package COMPILE BODY;
ALTER PROCEDURE my_procedure COMPILE;
ALTER FUNCTION my_function COMPILE;
ALTER TRIGGER my_trigger COMPILE;
ALTER VIEW my_view COMPILE;
I can't find any documentation to show how to recompile them properly.
So I am asking:
1. How can we recompile all objects in APEX?
2. How can we re-install APEX?
3. How can we revert to previous version if both have problems?
Thanks
Yannis

You mean you did export APEX_040100 schema from one database and import it to another database?
There is also public synonyms and if I recall correct some objects are in SYS schema that belongs to Apex and are needed.

How to delete an object from a request?
friends,
There is an exit developed to include a subscreen in a standard screen. The layout, flow logic and some include files are saved in different requests..i saved everything in one request and tried to release it...but it's not getting released.."Repair so, how to delete the object(s) from all the old requests where it is saved? when i attempt to delete the request, it is not allowing saying that changes can't be made to a released request. any other options available? how to go about with this? thanks all.HI sathish,
1. If the old request is release,
then we cannot do anything.
(There is no point in changing that old request)
(bcos its already released)
2. what can be done is that
u save once again the objects,
and it will once again ask for new request.
3. this time save it in new request

How to compile all objects.....in Oracle10g
Hi ,
The Oracle Doc about PL/SQL Packages and Types reffering to DBMS_UTILITY and the COMPILE_SCHEMA procedure....points out :
"Compiles all procedures, functions, packages, and triggers in the specified schema"
So how to compile views and possibly other db schema object types ......????
For example issuing the command :
select object_name from user_objects where status='INVALID';
we get all invalid objects, views , packages , e.t.c.
How to compile all types of objects ... except for EM10g env......
Many thanks....

Utilizing the SSRS Reports for MBAM 2.5 Integrated into Configuration Manager 2012 R2 Cu3, when I run the reports it states that the view
'v_GS_MBAM_POLICY' does not exist.
The complexing thing though is that there are computers that are reporting the HINV Class called 'Win32Reg_MBAMPolicy' So I would think this view would have been created.
Does anyone know the process by which the view gets generated since my HINV is reporting back the information, yet the view has not been created in the DB yet... It makes no sense.
The error is:
Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportServerException

David BaurWe ran into this error as well. Turns out that MBAM-provided reports to SCCM 2012 fail with an error unless the Win32Reg_MBAMPolicy class is added to SCCM, which also updates the SCCM SQL with required Views, including "v_GS_MBAM_POLICY".
The solution that we finally came up with was to import an updated MOF file to include the BitLocker Policy (Win32Reg_MBAMPolicy) class into the "Hardware Inventory" section of the Default Client Policy. Once the import is complete SQL also gets
the appropriate view created.
The instructions on how to create and import the MOF file can be found in the link below.
