How to respond Events defined within workflow
I have a workflow in which I have defined and event (that star thing). the event says
that if the root of the xml is "ERoot" then this event should be triggered.
I have an xml with 'ERoot' as the root. I think i have to post this xml into a jms
queue inorder to wake up my event.
to which jms queue/topic should I post this xml?
is it com.bea.wli.bpm.EventQueue? or is it some other TOPIC?

u need to create the events step by step in the workflow.
first event would be the condition which should be checked so that it gets triggered when the condition is satisfied.
second would be the the triggering in which u will get this triggered. u need to create a class in which the adobe form's code will be present like the FM it generates etc.in this class u will to write some methods for eg: if u create method say send_mail in this class u will code all the logic for sending the adobe form as a mail and u assign this in the workflow. So now, in the workflow all the methods that u assign will get triggered.

I delegated ZBUS2080 to BUS2080 (service notification). Added 2 Events REASSIGNED and MODIFIED.
Use transaction SWO1 for manipulating business objects.
The User performs an action on a service notification (IW52) say PUT IN SERVICE AGAIN.
When the user puts the service notification in service again the event triggered will start a (user defined) workflow which makes a call to a method in the business object ZBUS2080 which launches a batch job.
This batch job creates our user event REASSIGNED which in turn calls a new workflow to be executed.
This workflow performs the action I want -- in this case to re-assign the service notification to a new person, send an email and escalate the deadlines
Code samples are shown below.
So here's how it works.
First you need to set up some entries with table SWE2. I've assumed you've already defined the events to the Business object(s) you want to use.
In SWE2 define entries for BUS2080 (or ZBUS2080) For Events INPROCESSAGAIN and (our event) REASSIGNED.
IN SWE2 define the receiver call as a FUNCTION MODULE
For the receiver function modules for the SAP event (INPROCESSAGAIN) define the receiver module as SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
For the event REASSIGNED define the receiver module as SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF.
I have no idea whatwhat the difference is between the two but the process works when it's done like this.
Ensure the linkage Activated box is clicked in both cases.
Put your workflow numbers in the RECEIVER TYPE in SWE2 table.
In the first workflow when the user puts the service notification in service ensure your workflow starts a batch job which raises another event
Note : You need to instantiate the object (I.e supply the key) to trigger the event correctly. The key is obtained from the WF and will be in the container anyway.
You can do this by adding this type of function module into the method of the business object you want to execute during the first workflow. The code here creates a batch job which submits the EVENT creating program.

You CAN use Objects (OO ABAP) but if you are fairly new to this sort of stuff just stick with standard BOR (Business objects) to parctice on until you've got the hang of the process.
It's actually a lot simpler than most people realize --which is why WF consultants get paid decently !!!!.

I have created a interactive form within WebDynpro for ABAP which triggers a workflow for approval. Now I would like to open the same interactive form by the approver and approve the request.

Subworkflow - event trigerring within workflow
Hi,
Scenario -- WF is triggered when customer creates quote and it goes to manager for approval. If the manager rejects it, work item goes back to the user. My requirement is -- if the user makes any change with price - he changes the status of the quote to 'revised' at header level. Then it should again go back to manager for approval. If the user makes some other changes and does not change the status to revised--- then it need not go back to manager. How do I keep it in loop. Is there need for me to check some table and trigger a new event and create a subworkflow. How do I go about. Please help me. It is urgent.

Your original question resolution.
Create a fork(1 necessary branch and 2 parallel branch). In one branch put the approval step. In aonther branch put the wait for Change Event Step. Put this step in a loop. Now create an attribute inside your business object or amethod that will check whether it is a price change or not. You can achieve this by Changedocument. Read CDHDR and CDPOS table. Accordingly set a flag. If the flag is X means change in price the Loop condition will tereminate. Otherwise flag not X that means changes not relevant for approval.

How can I sort photos within an event? When I follow the Help instructions, I can sort manually in Photo format, but when I return to Event format, the original order is restored.
Events are organisation for those who can't really be bothered. They are automatic - based entirely on Date and Time the camera records the photos as taken.
You can move photos between Events, you can Merge Events, you can Rename them and sort them in various ways except one: You cannot manually sort in an Event as Events are all automated.
If you want to manually sort in an Event then you've outgrown Events as an organising tool. Now it's time to look at albums (Where you can manually sort) which are much more flexible than Events as an organising tool. -

That is correct - events are basic and time based and photos can not be manually moved within them - albums are logical grouping and photos can be moved manually - that is exactly how it works

Bennywhat you are referring to is not javascript.
it is JSP scriptlets. These are very different.
In order to keep a strict separation between View and Controller, it is not possible to run arbitrary java code from within your UIX code.
However, you can run java code from within a UIX event handler; see:

- More than likely the extension RPD was not used by anything else when Siebel Analytics first started using it, no doubt the 'RP' is repository, so use 'Definition' or 'Design' as you like. Im pretty sure there is nothing in the documentation but i've not checked, maybe you could check and let us know?
3) Dynamic variables would be something like 'CURRENT_MONTH' where the same query does not need to fire per user (ie SESSION variable) but needs to be periodically refreshed. Another use of you dynamic variable might be 'LAST_ETL_DATE' or somethng similar which might implement with your event polling table. By including the Variable within a Business Model, all cache for the Business Model is purged whenever the Variable's value changes. -

When you are in the View Cluster maintenance dialog (SE54) click on dialog "Events".
Below the field for the view cluster you have an additional field <b>FORM routines main program</b>. There you have to add the main program containing the FORM routines called by the VC events.
For example: I had defined a normal report containing an include with all the FORM routines. The report contains only the following lines of coding:
report zus_0120_u1.
* Common Data und access routines for user exits in VC maintenance
include LSVCMCOD.
include zus_0120_f1. "FORM routines for VC events
Now in the "Events" dialog of the view cluster maintenance you assign your FORM routines to the events.

I have a list with 2000+ items in it. I create a 2013 workflow in SPD that will look at an item and if it date is less than 1/1/2013 it will create a copy of the item on a list used for archiving, then delete the existing list item.
My question is how do i manually start this workflow on the entire list (instead of selecting 1 item at a time)?

How to fire event to generate insert message for the child objects?
We are in process to integrate CRM On Demand and existing Microsoft SQL DB.
We have the following problem:
For ex., we have CRM Object_1 that already synchronized with the SQL DB. CRM also has independent Object_2 and its child Object_2.1
We dicided that we want to connect the Object_2 as child to the Object_1.
The question is how to fire event to generate insert message for the Object_2 and Object_2.1?
What is the best technique? Is it possible to do it by workflow configuration or it needs to be done programmatically?

integration events can be generated only via worklow. You will need to create separate workflows for each record type (regardless if it is child or parent) because a workflow for the parent record type will not trigger when a child record is created/ associated. Also, the association workflows will trigger only when the specific event occurs.
There is not way to generate the integrtaion events programatically. They are generated by workflows and are read/ interpreted by a code extension. -
