How to restict number of lines from my report output

Hi,
I deveoped a noraml alv report where 26 fields displayed in the report output .But when nuber of lines exdeed 65,000 then we are unable to donload it to spread sheet .so we want to reduce the number of lines based on customer .How to do this in layout is there any facility to restict the number of lines ??
Please help me

Hi I am not sure but you can try like devide table entries in multiple internal tables.
Create saperate ALV Report and give customized button(Next and Back) to each report will have interlink to this reports.

I faced similar kind of issue working with files on UNIX platform.
The line is a line feed to remove it use
DATA : lv_carr_linefd TYPE abap_cr_lf VALUE cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf.
DATA : lv_carr_return TYPE char1,
         lv_line_feed   TYPE char1.
lv_line_feed   = lv_carr_linefd(1).
lv_carr_return = lv_carr_linefd+1(1).
Note: IMP: The character in ' ' is not space but is a special
character set by pressing ALT and +255 simultaneosly
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF lv_line_feed IN l_string WITH ' '.
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF lv_carr_return IN l_string WITH ' '.

Delete X number of lines from files

I am trying to find a way (either through an extension or
some other third-party freeware) to remove a number of lines from
the beginning of my files and replace them with alternate code.
I know that in many cases, a Search and Replace would do the
trick. But in my case, the lines that I want replaced do not
exactly match. For example, I might want to remove the first 15
lines from the beginning of each file in question; however, I might
have three lines of code in the files that each set a variable
value, with that value being different in each file. Thus, as far
as I understand it, the DW Search and Replace would not work for
me.
Even if I have can just find some way to first strip the
lines of code out without replacing it with the new code I want,
that would be fine. Adding in the new code afterwards would not be
an issue.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Actually the linfeed is the \n in my suggestion. The ^
designates the
beginning of the string.
Are you on a Mac? I tested it and it worked correctly on my
windows
machine. Come to think of it, I have my line feeds set to
Unix because
that's what my web server uses. You can try replacing the \n
with \r or
\n\r depending on which line feed you're using:

How to submit a concurrent request from Discoverer report.

I would like to know If any one has tried submitting a concurrent request from Discoverer Report?_
This is no stupid question, but our team here finally decided with a solution to our long pending issues with few of the discoverer report. To Proceed further, we would like to know, how to submit a concurrent request from Discoverer report?
We are looking for calling a package from the Disco admin by passing the parameters from the disco to the 6i report.
All help us in this regards are much appreciated.

I will be trying the same today and will let you know if I succeed in doing it.
If I can share the actual requirement with you, it goes like this.
"I will be triggering the Oracle 6i standard AP Trail balance report through the Disco report. The standard report will be inserting the required data to one of my custom table. Once the concurrent program completes normal, my custom table will be having the required data to create the workbook specific to the current run of the concurrent program.
The one problem which I think could happen is, How can I make my disco report to wait till the standard program to complete in normal so that my disco report can be generated with the data from custom table.
Will the above requirement is possible If I follow the way you mention in the PDF or Could you suggest a better way for achieving the same.
In short, my requirement is: The custom table(say XX_TABLE) will be populated with data when the standard 6i report is run and the disco admin will be making of the custom table (XX_TABLE) to generate the report.
Please advice.

Hide/Delete lines from ABAP Query output when Quantity is 0

Hi all,
I'm changing an existing abap query. My requirement is to delete the rows from the report output where qantity = 0.
I tried the following ways.
1. In SQ01, select the quantity field and check the checkbox for "Display only field <> 0", but this didnt worked as it will
     supress the zero from display.
2. I tried to write code in the Infoset SQ02->Edit->Code. I wrote the following code "CHECK vbep-wmeng IS NOT INITIAL".
    Here the problem is, the code is not executing in the test client. When I open the Infoset in test(i mean development test)
    client the code is there, but when i execute the program its not working. I tried using "BREAK-POINT", program executions
    does not stop at the break point. There is existing code in the event "START-OF-SELECTION", this code I'm able to see in the
    query program opened through SE38. I edited the existing code and kept a break point in between, and now checked in the
    program in SE38, but the changes are not reflected. I'm able to see old code only(even after save n generate).
3. Gave search in SCN, google etc.
Please note.
1. I'm not using any Logical Database in the Infoset. Its a simple join of 4 tables.
2. Query is created in the Global Area (cross client) not client specific.
Can anybody tell me what could be the problem and how can Over the above issues and achive the requirement.

Now problem is that I have to set the value 'display' In the first header field, 'Material Document' in 2nd header field when MIGO is called from the report output. Morever there is no parameter ID for these two fields. So how to set the values w/o using parameter ids.

How to Increase Number of Images from 500 in a LR3 Flash Gallery

I noticed people asking (and I myself needed to know) so I thought I would explain how to increase the number of images (from 500) in a Flash gallery in Light Room 3
1. I exported a Flash gallery from LR3 and it capped the gallery at 500 images.
2. Because I had roughly 600 images to put in the gallery, I exported the remaining 100 as a separate flash gallery. (Going ahead and exporting 2 galleries will save you headache in a later step)
3. I combined all the images folders (copying "large" images from one folder to the "large" folder in the gallery I want to upload to my site, etc.) so that the files are all in one location.
4. The next step is to increase the gallery maximum in the code. Access (from the exported gallery) GALLERYNAME/resources/mediaGroupData/group.xml and open the group.xml file. The line of code you will be changing is <media totalGallerySize="500"> Change the 500 to the number of photos you want in the gallery.
5. This next step isn't too complicated, but it is specific. You know have to tell that flash file to look for the images you just transferred to the images folder. The best way to do this is to open the group.xml file for the second gallery you exported. Copy all the code beginning with <item> to the bottom of the page. This code tells the gallery to look at your specific images (Note: you'll notice within each item the names of your image file)
6. Return to the (other) group.xml file of the gallery you plan to use (with all your images in it). Scroll to the bottom and erase the lines </media> and </mediagroup> becaue you will repaste them in a moment. Next, paste the copied code there.
7. Save & check your browser!

500 images in a single gallery is too many - think of the poor viewer!
But if you must create Flash galeries with more than 500 images, you're better off editing the underlying engine - here's one link showing how to do it

This statement determines some properties of the internal table itab and assigns them to the specified variables. The various additions enable you to determine the table type, the number of currently filled rows and the initial memory requirement.
In addition, the system fields sy-tfill and sy-tleng are filled with the current number of table rows and the length of a table row in bytes.

For detailed information about an internal table, you should use the methods of RTTS of the DESCRIBE TABLE statement.

The structure SYDES_DESC has two table-type components TYPES and NAMES:
In TYPES, the tree structure of the type belonging to f is displayed. The components of a node are stored in the table TYPES in a continuous manner. Beginning and end of the line area that represents the components are stored in TYPES-FROM and TYPES-TO. The reference to the superior node can be found in TYPES-BACK. If no superior resp. subordinate node exists, then this is marked by the value 0 (For the relevance of further components, refer to the following sections).
The names of components, types etc. are not stored directly in TYPES. Instead, the components TYPES-IDX_... hold an index in the name table NAMES. The value 0 indicates that there is no reference to the name table.
NAMES contains the possibly fragmented names in the component NAMES-NAME. If a name continues in the following line, this is indicated by an asterisk ('*') in the component NAMES-CONTINUE.
The type description table (TYPES) not only stores information about the tree structure but also further information about the type of f resp. its components. How can find number of line item?

HI All.
I have one internal table it has PO number ,line item and quantity.
Each PO number have number of Line item ,
now i want find how many line item per Po number .I need find for line item for all Po number.please help me

ALV_GRID How to get number of lines after filted applyed?

Hi, all!
The task is to display title in alv_grid like
"N records selected (X records on the screen)".
It means, N records in dataset and X records displayed after filter applyed by user.
But i can't get number of lines after filter applyed from the alv_grid.
Can anybody help me?

Hi,
If it goes through PBO/PAI cycle after user sets the filter then in your PBO call method get_filtered_entries of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID and then do a describe statement on the table.
Number of entries in your grid table - number of entries in this filtered entries table will give you the displayed entries after the filter is set.
If it does not go through PBO/PAI cycle then register for after_user_command and I think the fcode for filter is '&FILTER' and code for the above logic in your handler method..
