I have a JSF Project where I use Oracle JAAS for Login.
The login works perfectly and also the components on the JSF page shows as per User Role. I am using OAS 10.1.3.3.
I want to now implement the code so as to restrict simultaneous logins with the same user id. That is a user id cannot be looged in at once to the server from more than one machine.
The login.html is:

Hi Experts,
I am facing one problem to implement the following scenario,
The requirement is at a time one user can log in to the portal only once.Means after login if he tries to logging from another system it will not allow him to do that and give one message that "you are already logged in".

Can we still use 1 User ID to log in at 2 different instances simultaneously in SAP B1 8.8/8,81? If no, has SAP provided any documentation in this regard?

Everyone knows this is the standard function that 1 User License is accessible by two different instances and only two instances not more than two.....
So it is possible.

You can only see the menu of one responsibility at a time, so how to do you expect the application to let you see multiple responsibilities/menus in one session?
You could open another session and this way you can access more than one responsibility at the same time.

The short answer is that you'll put the source clip(s) for each inset on a different video track, all stacked up. Then use the Scale and Position effects (under "Motion" on the Effect Controls panel) to reduce their size and place them where you want.
If the content of an inset will involve edited content (where you're cutting among various clips or just trimming out unwanted content from a single clip), then you'll probably find it easier to do all those edits in one sequence, then nest that sequence in the master sequence, where you apply the Scale and Positioning effects. That will save the step of applying the scale and position effects to each edited track item.

Store a Map<User, HttpSession> in application scope and let your application intercept on that. On login, just check if the User is already there, then get the associated HttpSession, invalidate it and replace it by the current HttpSession, else just store the current User-HttpSession pair in the map. On logout obviously remove the User-HttpSession pair from the map.

Assuming that User has already his/her user-id and password, and now he/ she wants to change it.
select the client and provide Log-in credentials. Now, instead of 'ENTER' there is one Tab: 'New Password' (up, left hand). Click it.
Now, system will ask for new password to change.
If you are asking from Basis point of view, then T.code: SU01 - User Maintenance.
Enter User's id and Click Change icon.
It will lead to Page: Maintain User.
Here, Select tab: Logon Data
There is a Sub-Tab: Password.
Here, key-in change password and SAVE.
For Language and Date format, contact your Basis-Personnel.

How to restrict multiple executions of a report by same user

During month end closing user execute multiple sessions of the same report. In order to improve system performance want to put restriction on such executions espcially for system exhaustive reports. So user can execute report second time once first job is over.
In background this can be done but how to achive this for foreground jobs. Kindly resolve.

Hi all,
We want to restrict mulitple logon s in portal.
Onc a user is logged in,all subsequent user logon s for that user should prompt " The user is already logged in"
Are there any standard configurations which can provide this behaviour.
Or , should we write a custom module to acheive the same.
ANy API s to check if a user is logged in already or not...
Any help woulb be greatly appreciated.

How to display multiple reports at the same time

Hi,
I'm trying to display multiple reports at the same time, each one in separates tabs or windows using Forms 11g 11.1.1.6
I have a button which has a call to a procedure which makes use of rp2rro library to show the specific reports, for example:
call_report('report1');
call_report('report2');
call_report('report3');
call_report('report4');
The main problem is that, just the last report is been displayed.
Is there some way to display report1, report2 etc in separate tabs or windows ??

You shouldn't have a problem calling different reports at once. As long as you're using Forms 11g they show up in different windows.
The question is how you are calling the report.
Here is how I manipulate it.
After I pass parameters with the ADD_PARAMETER built-in I set some key values (destype, desformat, desname) with the RP2RRO's procedures.
Finally calling RP2RRO.RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT and then WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT passing the correct procedure parameters the report comes up in a window. If you repeat the above changing the appropriate variables (the report_name in the RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT and so on) you can get multiple reports in different windows.

We have domain where one portal application is in production now and other portal application have to deploy in the same domain.
The first one is using global scoped DataSources and the new one is using application scoped because they have to use own schemas in the database.
Also Group and User/role management have to work application scoped, meaning that in one's portal admin console shows only users/groups/roles to that portal.
How do I do this and what is the optional/best practises to do this kind of configuration, configure and deploy multiple portals in the same domain ?
I get so far that I make new SQLAuthenticator and XCAMLRoleMapper to the new portal but when the LDAP and database goes out of sync and I delete P13N -tables and LDAP, server start creates only to the first portal database the needed rows and delegated admin management doesn't work in the new one at all.
I have read all bea's documents related to JDBC - application scoping, deploying, security P13N and I can't get enough information from it to make this work.
