How to retreive textformat parameters

Hello Forum,
I am using the setStyle to set the text label on some buttons
in flash. AS3.
Set font to bold and color to red.
myButton.setStyle("textFormat", redBoldFormat);
I do this on as part of a function when the button is
clicked.
Is there a way to retreive the textformat settings (like
bold, etc) so I can un-set the format?
I have 5 buttons, when one is clicked, it goes bold and red.
When a different button is clicked, I would like the previously
clicked button to go back to "not bold" and "not red"
and so on,

myPreviousButton.setStyle("textFormat", notBoldFormat);
You don't "unset" the format u can "reset" it.

Can't be done. To use a function in SQL it can only have a single return value.
Try something like this changing the data types appropriately.

How to retreive tomcat parameters in a servlet

Hi guys&girls,
I need to get username and password used to connect to a jsp application from a servlet. Is it possible? The application uses the standard j_security_check configuration on Tomcat (with the tomcat-users.xml file, containing users)
I have to do it from the init method and not from doGet or doPost method.
I know that could be a very simple answer (and I hope too...), but I couldn't find anything on the net :( (and those forum too, of course).

Because in the Init method the connection to database is performed.
Now it is done using a .properties file, but I need to change it to use the same user/password of the tomcat application.
Do you know if it is possible?It sounds like a really bad idea to me, for a variety of reasons.
Ignoring for the moment the idea of tightly coupling your application security to a plaintext config file in your container, I'd reiterate that the servlet's init() method only gets called once. It sounds like you're asking how to use a single user's credentials (init() is called once, so you don't get a second chance at this) to connect to a database for the whole application. If that doesn't raise a gigantic red flag with you, it should. If you're using a service account to connect, I don't see any reason why you would find it necessary to specify those credentials in a container-specific config file.
You may want to look into something like the Acegi framework to help you manage your application security.

How to retreive and display output list from BAPI

I am making an applcation using SUP 2.0, and this application make an user to get leave history using a Mobile System from SUP.
I've created the MBO as Attributes using the BAPI: BAPI_LEAVE_HISTORY.
This BAPI has some parameters IN and OUT.
Input parameters are Employee Id and date.
The parameter OUT is a List that retreives the employee leave history.
Anyone has an Idea or example how to retreive the output from BAPI and displaying the output on a screen.
Any tips or blogs that can help me?

I have tried your solution where I just created a MBO for my 'operation' and I'm using sync parameters to execute the RFC.
The problem I'm facing is, for example, if I create a record it gets saved in the MBO table and the record successfully gets created in SAP as well after a sync. But when I create another record and sync, the previously saved record in MBO table also gets executed so I'm getting duplicate entries in SAP.
Have you or anyone faced this problem?
Any response is appreciated. Please let me know if I'm not clear, I realized its a complicated scenario.

How to hide dynamic parameters values in the URL with Reports 6i

Hi,
I want to know a way of hiding the parameters values when asking for a report through the web.
Now I'm using the Reports 3.0.5.8 with a Cartridge defined in the Oracle Web Application Server 3.0.1.0.1. When you ask for a report with the parameters DESTYPE = cache and DESFORMAT = pdf, it is fully generated and in the Address or Location box of the browser, you can see http://webserver/cache/report.pdf (where cache is the virtual directory defined in the OWAS in which the .pdfs are cached). So, users cant see the Url used to generate the report.
Im trying to upgrade this configuration to Reports 6i with Cgi in a web server. I generate reports with no problems. The problem I have is I cant find how to hide the parameters values as before. I mean, when I ask for a report, once its generated I can see http://webserver/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe?server=ServerName&report=report.rdf&userid=user/pass@connection&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&P1=value1&P2=value2 in the Location box. It allows user to ask for another report changing the values of the parameters. I use these parameters to execute some query written in the Data Model. For example, imagine that the P1 represents the company id, the user (that is supposed to see only data of its company) can change this id, ask for a new report and see data of another company.
Ive already tried to use the key mapping option, but its not useful to me because the parameters values are dynamic and its impossible to define different entries in the cgicmd.dat for each possible value. The option of loading the parameter form before running a report is not useful to me either, because there exists specific screens for this purpose.
Is there any solution?

The last option I have is 'Hide' for 'Calculate single values as' .
I have the below options for 'Calculate single values as'
1. Normalise according to Next group level Resul.
2. Normalize according to Overall Result
3. Rank number
4.Olympic Rank Number
5.Maximum
6. Minimum
7.Counter for all detailed values
8.Counter for all detailed values that are non zero
9.Moving average
10.Moving average That is Not zero ,null or Error
11. Hide.
So could you please tell me where i can find 'suppress result' option for the keyfigure .

In the thread you quoted Michael Armstrong-Smith says that optional parameters can be created in Plus but not in Desktop and that's true.
So your question "how to create optional parameters in Discoverer desktop" is already answered in that thread.
Assume that it is a typo and you wanted to ask how to create optional parameters in Plus.
Then the answer is simple: Just uncheck the "Require users to enter a value" checkbox when creating new parameter.

I have a basic program, i need to filter info with period parameters in a program that uses logical database PNP, but it doesn't work.
If i use "person selection period" that it's suposed to filter info according to infotype 0001 (as the sap help says), it doesn't work, i use: PNPBEGPS = today and PNPENDPS = today, and the result it's a lot of registers that doesn't meet that criteria.
Also i tried with: data selection period, today, up to day, current month. And the result it's with the same problem.

Define pernr table under tables statement then and use GET PERNR event.This get event is followed by End-Of-Selection.
Syntax: Tables pernr.
Get pernr.
Try, activate and test. This should solve your problem.

i am using a RFC FM to from SRM system to ERP system. in ERP system the RFC FM parameters refer to some structures or tables which are not in SRM system.

I also had to work with RFC to call SRM function module from an ECC system. I recommend you very strongly to create your own RFC function module in SRM and your own DDIC structures in both systems with just the fields you need. This custom SRM RFC function module, map the parameters to the standard 100+ field DDIC structure and call the SRM function module (not using RFC at this time of course).
Why did I say "very strongly" : DO NOT duplicate the 100+ field DDIC structure from SRM to your RFC client system (by transport or manual copy), because some support packages add fields to some include structures of the complex structure, and they are inserted somewhere in the middle, and so it probably makes obsolete your duplicated DDIC structure.

I wanted to make a filter that removes all the GET parameters except for a few exceptions.
How do I remove parameters from a ServletRequest or HttpServletRequest? I am trying to make a webapp that only uses POST variables, and not GET (except a few exceptions).
Can someone point me in the right direction?

To access ifs data from SQL, you need to (officially) setup a 'user view'. Refer to the Java API documentation on how to do this. Once you have created the user view, then you may access this view using any SQL tool.

The field is deffined in the GP card spec 2.1.1 under 9.5.2.3.6 INSTALL [for load] and INSTALL [for install] Parameters. The section of text explains what each field is and the tag to use to encode. Each value is a two byte short.
