How to retrieve external IP address of WRT54GSV4

I want to retrieve the internet IP address of my router WRT54GSV4 with a web page interface. just like : http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/misc/ip.php
I am using ftp server inside my network and I am using DDNS. My ISP blocked me from retrieve correct IP address from those IP detection page. I need an exact external ip address from my router.
can i place a file on the router to achieve this? or there are already have some function like this? Thank you.

Hi, well if you want to login to you router from outside the Network, Enable the remote login on the router and check the IP address on the Status Tab on the Web interface of the router. You can access the web interface of the router from any Pc in you LAN with Local Ip address of the router (defualt : 192.168.1.1). The Ip address on Status is your external IP address, which may be dynamic in your case. So you need to check it every 24 hour (maximum DHCP lease  period from most of the ISPs is 24 hours).

  • How to simulate external IP addresses on a single server Hyper-V test environment

I just bought a powerful laptop and installed a spare copy of Server 2012 R2 Datacentre on it.
I am in the process of setting up a test LAN with DC, Exchange, TMG firewall web and backup servers.
V host without the use of external physical routing?
I would like to connect a client to the LAN services such as Exchange and VPN in the same way a client device connects to a network over the internet. In other words, I need to test the external IP addresses of my test LAN.
I am considering a setup consisting of two separate LANs with different IP address ranges:
LAN 1: internal network (with all the services mentioned above)
LAN 2: with only one client VM; this would be the external network (simulated internet)
Is this the best way of doing it? Has anyone already done something similar?
    Many thanks!

    I have something similar.
I don't believe your solution would work alone, as you'd need a VM to act as a router between the two. You could do it like that (but adding a virtual router) or you could just let WAN be your local network (the one your laptop is on)
Some steps (not very detailed, I can provide my documentation I wrote for Hyper-V running on server 2012 R2 (should work exactly the same for you though)
The first vSwitch created should be External type (it should already be created if you installed Hyper-V)
Create a second switch, call it whatever (Internal or LAN doesn't matter), set it's type to Private.
Create a small 512MB Generation 1 VM with a small (1GB should be fine, and it can be dynamic expanding)
Add two LEGACY (key point) network adapters to it, attach the first to the external and the second to the private.
Install pfSense onto it. You'll basically have a router. the first interface is the WAN (if you set the first adapter as external when you added them to the VM) or "the internet" you could say. While the private switch is the second interface or your local
(private) LAN. Now any VM you want to be on this virtual LAN just set it's network adapter to be connected to the Private vSwitch.
I have instructions if you want to do this (specifically for Hyper-V (I wrote them in case I ever had to reinstall it because there are a few gotchas with it being virtualized)

  • HT201250 How to retrieve external drive backups from time machine on hard drive without external drive connected

I am keeping my work files on an external drive which are backed up using Time Machine onto my computer's hard drive. I set it up this way so I can take my actual work drive with me if I need it. However, I just noticed that I can't see any of those files in time machine if the drive itself isn't plugged in, which makes this method useless. Is there any way to get to those, or do I need to reconfigure my backup system? I always thought if something happened to my hard drive I'd have a backup, but that won't work if I can't get to the files.

  • How to change New ShipTo Address functionality to Edit current ShipTo Addre

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to change New ShipTo Address functionality to Edit current ShipTo Address.  Can someone please advise/direct me how to retrieve current ShipTo Address data and put it on New ShipTo page (Specify ShipTo page)? Any detail information or any advise are appreciated.
    Thanks, Jin

    Hi Jin,
I am not sure, I got your question correctly or not.
Based on my understanding of your query what I understand is you want to edit the Ship To Address and for that you want
to know how to get this ship to address.
If above is your concern than you dont need to do anything as once you are there on order.jsp just on the right of "Delivery To"
field there are two buttons(links). One is for viewing the current ship to address and the other is to edit the ship to address.
The jsp to which these links refer is "/b2b/shiptodetails1.jsp".This same jsp is called for viewing and editing the ship to address.
Please let us know if there is something more to it that you want.

  • How can I retrieve the IP address of the default printer from the windows registry

I am using LabVIEW 7 on windows NT4 computers.
I have a SubVI that I use to ping the network printer to make sure that the printer is on line prior to sending a print at the end of testing a unit.
If LabVIEW does not get a reply to its ping data is saved locally and the user informed.
I would like to modify the VI that pings the printer to ping the default printer of the computer on which the VI is running.
I would be grateful if anyone can show me how to retrieve the default printers IP address.

    Hi Stuart,
The registry entries for User's Default Printer are:
    Win 9x:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows]
    NT/XP:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
    "Device"="Printer Name"
The device is the name used to represent the printer in the registry. The name can be found in the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Settings] key.
Machine name is part of the "Printer Name," which you can use to ping directly (i.e., w/out having to look-up its IP address).
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Khalid

  • How to retrieve Delivery address when entered manually in PO

    Hi All,
I am trying to print PO through Smartform. I am retrieving the delivery address based on the adrnr number/Customer number/Vendor Number from EKPO table. Now when the user manually changed the address with out adrnr/Customer number/Vendor Number, how to retrieve that address in order to print as these three fileds will be blank in EKPO table. How and where the SAP will store that address. Any help thanks.

    Hi,
In the sales order point of view I know it will be stored in the ADRC table for the VBPA-ADRC number entry. Similar to that I hope the EKPO ADRC will have an another entry in the ADRC table.
    Thanks,

  • I have a LaCie external hard disk. I do not know how to retrieve photos from iphoto that have disappeared. I do not know how to use Time Machine

I have a LaCie external hard drive. I also have Time Machine. I somehow have "lost" almost all my 5,000+ photos from iPhoto 8.1.2. I would appreciate someone giving me directions on how to retrieve the photos from the external hard drive or Time Machine.
The last thing that I did that is different from my normal routine was to trash duplicate music tunes from iTunes. I cannot figure out how that would have caused my photos to disappear.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
    Marilyn

I remember being cautioned to never do anything with the iPhoto Library. Should I have clicked on the iPhoto Library and then Restore?
I do not know "how" items are being placed in the LaCie external drive, just that it shows a backup running about every hour. I have taken a snapshot of the Time Machine Preferences I would you to see. Maybe that would answer this question.
In March 2011 I had to have hard drive on my iMac replaced. I had been using a Seagate external drive for backups. However I was not using Time Machine. When the Apple guru was helping me restore all my files etc on the new hard drive he was not familiar with Seagate and recommended I purchase this LaCie and use Time Machine. I never had any problem retrieving items from the Seagate backup. It was very straightforward. As I mentioned previously, I just don't have a clue with the LaCie and Time Machine.
I hope this is not TMI.

  • I would like to ask how to retrieve Sever/Host IP address.

    Hello,
I would like to ask how to retrieve Sever/Host IP address.
sys_context('USERENV', 'IP_ADDRESS') returns client's IP address only, but what I want to acquire is Host/Server IP address
    Thank you

This is why it is generally useful to mention the version of Oracle you are using, particularly if you are using a version 4 releases old...
That said, you can probably still use the UTL_INADDR package
    SQL> select utl_inaddr.get_host_name( null ) from dual;
    UTL_INADDR.GET_HOST_NAME(NULL)
    DDBCJC01
    SQL> select utl_inaddr.get_host_address( null ) from dual;
    UTL_INADDR.GET_HOST_ADDRESS(NULL)

please help. my address bar has vanished. i have no idea how to retrieve it, so can only access bookmarked sites when using firefox.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Full Screen mode with all toolbars hidden.
    * Press F11 to toggle full screen mode (Firefox/File > Full Screen)
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
    * If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
    * If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

  • How to disable mail forwarding to external email address

We had a serious security issue with people who had forwarded automatically using Apple Mail filters messages to an external email address.
We want to avoid in the future that a user in the Apple Mail program can create filters.
It should not be possible that the incoming mail is automatically forwarded by a user.

Sorry, but unless you prohibit any access to Mail, what you're seeking isn't possible. As long as a user can send mail, they can forward it to whomever they like, even if they don't use any Rules.

  • How to change CUE ip address?

    Hi,
We moved to a new location and using comcast as ISP. I was setting up the phone system today and met a few problems.
    1. First of all, all the phones are connected and working(total of 4), but I can only see 3 of them showing up in the CCA. Whats happening here?
    2. I wanted to change the user name which appears on the phone using the CCA, CCA told me that the settings were successfully sent to UC520, I restarted the phone and uc520, but the names on the phones remain unchanged?
    3. I forgot the password of the voicemail for one of the phone, and wanted to changed in the CUE. so I went to 10.1.10.1,but some comcast login page showed up instead of CUE. so I want to know how to change the IP address of CUE? I don`t know the CLI commands so please teach me if it can only be done with CLI. I have only used CCA in the past. Could this be the reason why for problem 1 and 2? I`m feeling wierd because all the phones can be used to call in/out.
my data vlan is 192.168.0.0 and voice vlan is 192.168.2.0 let me know if you need any other info.
need help urgently as I want to resolve this problem asap.
