How to retrieve image?

i am working with j2me. in that i need to store and retrieve a image in the database. storing the image is working properly, but retrieving does not working. if any one knows help me...

there is something called "blob" - datatype in oracle where u can store images. for example, in char - datatype it will take only one byte, for float - datatype it will take 32 bytes, like wise u can store images using blob datatype for storing images in oracle database. and for retreiving those images u need a front end tool to display those retrieved image like JSP. for example if u r attaching any photo for ur passport. and after that if u want to see the status any one day u can ensure that status by seeing ur photo that u have sent before. this is because they have saved ur photo using the "blob" datatype....just check it

I am a beginner to Adobe InDesign SDK (CS4) and was needing some help. Here is the sceneario
I have a simple InDesign document with an image in it. I am trying to retrieve the image and do some proprietory actions on it.
I am wondering if there is an InDesign API which can retrieve image on a document. What is the return value from such an API. (e.g does the API return a pointer to the image object or maybe location of the image on the filesystem ? ). What I am trying to do is once I can get a "handle" to the returned image, I would like to manipulate it and save it in a proprietory format.
Any pointers on this would be highly appreciated

You can get the path of the linked image file and then you can manipulate this image.
I think ILinkUtils and ILink will certainly help.

In a Portal form , there is a field named ID wherein a value is entered. Say the value entered is 5 , how can we get the image named 5.jpg
from C:/images/ folder and get it displayed in the form ? The images are not stored in the database . Depending on the ID field value , we
have to retrieve the image.

Steps:-
1> I created a procedure named get_image in the application schema as :-

I am new to XML. So any best guidance is appreciated.
The application requirement is to display image retrived from uploaded xml file in file upload section of our application. And store that image in database.
In my XML file , images & strings & numbers & booleans are there . I am able to save everything in database except images .
I am using JSF, Seam & Hibernate combination. In my Hibernate entity class i took BLOB datatype for image.
I am using following tags in my Xhtml file to display image

<s:transformImageSize width="200" height="200" />
<s:transformImageType contentType="image/jpeg"/>
But image is not displayed in Xhtml file
I am using org.w3c.dom.Document for retrieving node name & corresponding value in that node in XML file.
I am getting code like below for Image when i am logging all values from XML files in my bean class .

How to retrieve image from MS sqlserver2K

Using jdbc-odbc bridge to connect MS SQL2K,
I can write a big file into database by prepareStatement() & setBinaryStream().
But I can't get it back to the client by using ResultSet.getBinaryStream() due to an "Invalid cursor state".
I even choose the SQLSERVER2000 JDBC (downloaded from mircrosoft website)and it also fails!
And then I checked all the posted topics in this community about this problem,but no one had ever come up with an approach to solve the problem.
Does if mean this question will never be solve?

Create a table with a Long RAW Datatype column for storing the Image Column Data.
Create the form based on the table , which by defaults the column with LONG RAW atatype to a Image Item.
You can use Forms Built in function READ_IMAGE_FILE to read a Image file stored on the file system in to the image item.
A save on the form saves the image in the Image item in the long raw column.

You basically save a File to the database, so you can just re-write the data from the file back temporarily and load it into the application using the ImageIO class
