How to return subclass values in Web Service

Question

We are currently running AS 10.1.2.0.2 (J2EE and WebCache version). I don't have solution for the following case:
1) two classes are defined as:
public class PartyName
private String m_null_val;
public class IndividualName extends PartyName
private String m_title;
private String m_first_name;
private String m_middle_initial;
private String m_last_name;
2) WSDL is generated as follows:
<complexType name="helix_symInt_PartyName" jdev:packageName="helix.symInt" xmlns:jdev="http://xmlns.oracle.com/jdeveloper/webservices">
<all>
<element name="null_val" type="string"/>
</all>
</complexType>
<complexType name="helix_symInt_IndividualName" jdev:packageName="helix.symInt" xmlns:jdev="http://xmlns.oracle.com/jdeveloper/webservices">
<all>
<element name="title" type="string"/>
<element name="first_name" type="string"/>
<element name="middle_initial" type="string"/>
<element name="last_name" type="string"/>
<element name="null_val" type="string"/>
</all>
</complexType>
3) I would expect to see IndividualName object returned in SOAP messages, however it always gets returned as PartyName type:
<pg_name xsi:type="ns2:helix_symInt_PartyName">
<null_val xsi:type="xsd:string">null val</null_val>
</pg_name>
Is there anything special that I have to do in my Java code to make this work? I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0.

I don't think Integration B2B is the right forum for this question since we don't use JDeveloper in this product. You may want to try post it again in the JDeveloper forum.
