How to revise form field value in query and skip validation

Hi all,
I have a 10g form that has a field which I want to manipulate during query. I want to display a different value depending upon its orignal value. I did this with a Post-Query trigger on the field's datablock. However, now, when I attempt a new query, the form thinks I've changed the field (which I did). I want to change the field but trick Forms into thinking there were no updates. How do I do this? Note: the field is a list item that has a style of combo box.

The reason is that sometimes the list returns the record group's key value (the second column) instead of the intended value (in the first column). This is because the record group is based on a SQL query. There are some values which are no longer in the table queried by the record group, thus the key value is displayed. I would rather nothing be displayed. As of now, I display a message indicating that there is a problem with the LOV.
I know about using a non-database form field. But I don't have any room left and I don't want to lay the non-database field on top of the database field and then have to enable/disable the two fields.
A friend at work suggested setting update_permission to trick Forms. Tried it but not successful yet.

First, Enable System information from the View Menu. This will enable you to see the table name and the field name when you click on the field.
Once you get this info, you can access it by $[[TableName.FieldName]]
Remote the http:// that you see above
$ [ ] are all required.

we have below requirement -
create a form with fields as below -
KRA_Type Grade Weightage Start Date End date
Functinal E2 30 1-Jan-2010 1-jan-2011
Organizational E2 70 1-jan-2010 1-jan-2011
lov of kra_type has 2 values (Functinal, Organizational). requirement is to validate Weightage field such that for same grade :- Fuctional Weightage + Organizational Weightage = 100.
please suggest on how to approch this.

this is not related to FORMS at all......
1) create a database function which take grade parameter and return the total weightage.
2) use it on when-validate-item trigger to validate

How to retreive form field values

I'm using Edge Animate CC 2014, and the examples I'm finding on the forums do not work. Is there something new in the latest version that replaces the following?
var messageInfo = inputMessage.attr("value");
Using the code above, does not assign the value to messageInfo. I even downloaded an example (older version) from the forum and it doesn't work.

I tried adding both
jquery-1.11.2.min.js
and
jquery.min.js
Neither worked. Is there something else different in Edge Animate CC 2014?

I want to pass form filds values in to procedure. I am calling this procedure through form personalization of that form..... But it's not accepting any form field's value there... when i am passing hardcoded vales procedure is executing fine...

Situation is, we have a Field (OBJK-TASER) in which 2 tables (SER01 & SER03) are stored. And we want to access names of the Tables which are there in the field(TASER) in (OBJK) table to a variable and then passing that variable to the sql query as a table name to get data accessed dynamicaly.

Actionscript & changing form field values

I am building a form using flash forms. I have a particular
field that by default the value is 0.00. I want to make an onchange
actionscript that will dynamically change the form field value to
0.00 if the end user deletes the value out of the field and leaves
it blank.
Please be gentle...I know my actionscript'ing is poor (and
probably looks a wee bit more like JS than AS) LOL

I picked up an AS book yesterday evening to hopefully help me
out some, I know not all AS is available to use in ColdFusion flash
forms, but it will give me a good reference I hope.

Hi,
You can use FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST to submit a concurrent progrm with parameters given.
For example, get the invoice number into v_invoice_no and call a function included code bellow.

How to store forms fields into the session ?

Hi All,
I have to store forms fields into the session.
I have four forms (htm forms) in four jsps and there are total 25 fields.
I am inserting all the fields into the database at once while user submit the last form.
I want to use session to store forms fields.
So please anybody tell me how to do that.
Is the following code correct to store the forms fields into
the sesstion........

I was just asking that if I use the following

</jsp:useBean>then will I be able to acheive my aim as I have to store form fields into the session and later retreive while user submit the last form.

How to get item field values for old versions?

I need to be able to query old field values from previous versions of items in a SharePoint list. I can't execute code on the server (it needs to work with SharePoint Online/O365 for a start).
So far the ONLY API I've that lets me do this is the lists.asmx GetVersionCollection SOAP call.
This lets me specify a single field name and returns an XML structure with the values for the various versions, along with the modification time and who made the change - but NO reliable way of actually identifying *which* version (i.e. an ID or label). That
is, if I know I need to fetch the Title value from version 512 ("1.0") of item 1 in list "Documents", I don't see how to reliably parse the results to determine which entry is version 512. While they may be returned in order, in many cases
the entries are actually missing when there was no field value present (or perhaps when the field hadn't been created yet). I've tried comparing the Modified date to the Created date of the corresponding FileVersion item (which I can get via CSOM or REST),
and while it works some of the time, it's not reliable. I've also looked at the output from the lists.asmx GetVersion API but I don't see how that's useful either, as the Created property for all versions always seems to be just the date the file was originally
created.
It does seem odd to me that there's not a neat way of doing this - if I need to return information for several fields but just for a single version, I have to make a whole lot of requests that return far more info than I need, and then I need to figure out
how to parse the returned text in the case of, say, multiple-value taxonomy fields etc.
Anyone tried doing anything similar here?

Referencing form field values in javascript

I am attempting to call a report from a button on a form in Portal. I have been successful in calling a report from a OnClick JavaScript event handler, but I also need to send a parameter to the report based on the value in a field on the form.
I have been unable to find any information on how to do this. Does someone know how to do this? Thanks.

Addressing field values in forms
For forms all of the form field values are kept in the "session storage", which is an internal
data structure object
and has some methods to access the data
to access them you must have following information:
1. Block name
- DEFAULT for forms on tables
- MASTER_BLOCK for the master section of MD form
- DETAIL_BLOCK for the detail section of MD form
2. Attribute name (is the column name plus 'A_' prefix)
3. Column datatype (NUMBER, VARCHAR2, DATE)
Example:

In case of MD form, there are 2 blocks - MASTER_BLOCK for master section of the form
and DETAIL_BLOCK for the detail section. Since there is more that 1 record in detail section
you must specify a row index for the detail row

Writing custom buttons code
Every event handler has p_session argument, for any event handler it is a reference to the
session storage object, by calling
appropriate methods you can get and set values of the fields in the form.
Attribute names are create by adding 'A_' to your table's column names, so DEPTNO becomes
A_DEPTNO
Note, if you add a button to detail section of the form for each detail row then you'll have to
examine p_instance value which will be set to a number indicating for which row button has been
pressed. (1 for the first detail record, 2, 3, etc.)

Hi, I'd like to know how to get form upload value?
I have my initial page, index.cfm that has a upload input box
(named "fileToUpload")that submits to action.cfm. In action.cfm I
tried to get the value of the input by doing
<cfoutput>#form.fileToUpload#</cfoutput> but instead I
got a string like
("E:\JRun4\servers\cfusion\SERVER-INF\temp\cfusion-war-tmp\neotmp5263.tmp"),
I expected it to be the value that was in the upload input field
(i.e. "E:\My Pictures\Flowers.jpg"). How do I get this?

How can I pass field value betwen view in ICWC?

Hi experts,
I am new to this BSP programming. I have some requirements to modify standard ICWC in CRM 5.0
Hope can get some advices and helps here.
I have added a new field called <status> to context note SEARCHCUSTOMER in BupaSearchB2B view and also the same field name to context note CUSTOMER in BupaCreate view.
I have added the field into both the HTM views and able to execute thru WebClient. However, I have one problem in passing the <status> value from BupaSearchB2B view to the BupaCreate view when I click on the 'create' button.
I do search and saw this thread How can I pass field value beetwen view in IC Web Client? , but i cant figure out how it works.
Do I need to create the field <status> to context note CUSTOMER in BupaSearchB2B? Currently the context note does not have any attributes.
Really appreciate for any help.
