If stateful is the package for the client application, you should be executing from
D:\Weblogicserver\user_projects\domains\mydomain\applications\MyEJB
on the command line. The command should look like -
java -classpath <whatever should be here> stateful.MyClient

Thank you for your help info, I soloved the problem.
The problem is the ejb jar was deleted(I don't why)
then System Admin to deploy EJB jar from Admin console.
    After that everything is fine.

    Hi Albert,
I would double check to make sure the EJB was indeed deployed (check
server log). What message did you see that leads you to believe itwas
successfully deployed? Also, verify the JNDI name you are lookingup in
your client matches the JNDI name for the EJB. If this doesn't solve
the problem, please post the error message and stack trace you are
    seeing on the client.

    Hi folks ,
I'm new to j2ee programming and using Netbeans 5.5 , i created a session bean program and deployed successfully in JOnAS application server but i'm not able to run the client program which invokes session bean (EJB module ).

i'm struggling with this for the past two weeks . please tell me the solution .
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the suggestion artntek.
I located the jndi.properties file in the %J2EE_HOME%\lib\classes folder, and I copied it to the %J2EE_HOME%\bin directory, but nothing seems to have changed.
does anyone know what value should be associated with Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY in the properties for the InitialContext object? More specifically, what value should be used for the reference install of the 1.3 j2ee release from sun?
This error suggests to me that a class name must be specified for the initial naming context factory - but I don't know what to use.

  • How to get remote ejb client working with Weblogic 8.1?

I have Weblogic 8.1 running on a WinXP box behind my firewall. Port 7001 is open to WL and remote browsers can access the console.
I have a client machine running WinXP on a different network that is remote to the WL server. It can ping the WL server machine.
I use JVM 1.4.2_08 on all machines.
If I put my client machine on the LAN with the WL server, then my EJB test client works fine. If I put the client machine on the remote network then the test client fails with a ClassCastException when trying to do a PortableRemoteObject.narrow on the bean home.
I had this running fine on JBoss 3.22 using RMI over HTTP. I added an HTTP invoker service to my jboss.xml file. I don't know if something similar is needed on the Weblogic side - any ideas on that? All I've done on the WL side is turn on Tunneling - which obviously works because the remote client gets a correct home object when doing a lookup on the bean - based on the IOR string of the home obj.
Below I include my client code, exception, ejb-jar.xml and my weblogic-ejb-jar.xml.
Any ideas on what else needs to be done so that a remote client can do a PortableRemoteObject.narrow? My client.jar has all of the EJB classes, and runs fine when run from LAN.
    Thanks,

For remote clients you need to generate and use the stub classes for EJB interfaces using Weblogic's appc utility.
    See: "http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ejb/appc_ejbc.html#1151900"

I found [this|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/42/9ddcc9bb211d72e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] in SAP help and tried to implement it (added PrivateSharingReference to portalapp.xml and implemented the code), but everytime I try to lookup the session bean and cast it using P4ObjectBroker.narrow() method, I get java.lang.ClassCastException. The object found in JNDI and my portal service have different classloaders, so I suppose this is the problem, but I don't know how to handle it...
    Can anyone please help me?
    Regards,
    Tomas

    Hi,
I built berkeley DB 4.4.20 and use it from Jbuilder2005, I noticed that tha size of Jbuilderw.exe consumes about 96MB of memory and the size of javaw.exe consumes (in my application) about 63MB. so I thought that if I load the jdk1.4 only ( by running my code from the command line) this will save memory because not all compenents of Jbuilder will be loaded into memory. to do so, I copied the directory jdk1.4 from inside jbuilder2005 and put it on c:\, then I build berkeley DB using visaul c++ 6.0 and filled the following pathes in the include directory(tools-->options->directories)
    c:\jdk1.4\include
    c:\jdk1.4\include\win32
and in the executable files directories I added the following path:
    c:\jdk1.4\bin
then I set the classpath from inside windows (server2003), and I set the path as well but when I run the java class from the command line, I recieved message like "the packege com.sleepycat.db " not exist
    thanks

  • How to run session method with out having Authorization.

    Hi,
A Session is generated in sm35 by other person. The Authorization is in his id. My Question is can i run the session. if yes , how to run with out authorization.

If you want to process in foreground then you can run if you have authorization for SM35 and also for the transaction inside the session . Suppose the BDC session is for ME21 . If you have ME21 authorization you can run the session even if its created by other user .
If you have no auth for ME21 then you cannot run the session in foreground but you can still run in background as in background the authorization of the user in authorization column ( user who created session ) will be checked for ME21 .
    Cheers .
    Sanjay
