Steps to deploy an ejb application and running an ejb client in weblogic server6.1

steps to deploy an ejb application and steps to run an ejb client in weblogic server6.1
if the client is an simple java application and if the client is a servlet

Hi.
Check out the beanManaged example that ships with WLS and read the accompanying docs. This
is a simple EJB with a servlet that invokes it.

  • Is it possible to put the java classes of an application and run?

    Hi All,
Please excuse me if this question seems meaningless / laughable.
We get java class files by compiling the source code with java compiler. To run the application, classpath can be set to the folder where the class files are stored and then run the main class.
Now the question is, is it possible to read the class files to RAM and then run the application. I highly appreciate your help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Chinnaswamy

    You could
1.) copy the class files to a ramdisk
2.) write another class loader that deletes the class files after loading >them from ram
but all of this is probably not necessary.
What exactly would you like to achieve by doing this? Thanks, JoachimSauer.
The idea I have in mind is to first read and store the java class files in C/C++ code and then while running the C/C++ code, read & put the java classes into RAM and run the java application.
This way the decompilation problem can be alleviated for valuable java applications. ( I am not sure, this will work)
Another reason could be speed improvement. Classes in RAM is expected to make the application to run faster than when class files are in hadr disk
    With regards

  • Missing EJB application and tutorial sample in workshop 8.1

    HI,
I just installed workshop 8.1 from the BEA CD. I wanted to follow the EJB tutorial
that's available in e-docs on the web, however, i don't see the Enterprise JavaBeans
tutorial (the Band example) in the list of new Applications (under tutorial).
I also don't see a new application template of Enterprise javaBeans under 'All'
(not sure if there should be one).
Could someone please let me know why I'm missing the Enterprise javaBeans tutorial
and how I can get it? Also, why don't I see an application template for EJB Application?
    Thanks,

    Simplest way "in my opinion":
    1. start weblogic Server. You can use Server with examples. This domain
is already configured, so You will not need any domain configuration tasks.
    2. open weblogic administration console using browser
    http://localhost:7001/console/. Log in.
    3. On the left side choose Deployments -> Web Application Modules
    4. Click "Deploy a new Web Application Module"
    5. Find folder with Your application. Mark it and click Target Module.
    6. Define Application name and click Deploy
    7. If deployed successfully, Your application should be accessible at
    http://localhost:7001/YourApplicationContextRoot

  • Deploying and running of EJB in Jboss5.1.0.GA

I have got jBoss5.1.0.GA server. Can anyone please tell me how to deploy & run EJB with the help of jBoss5.1.0.GA starting from the very beginning including what are the files required to be added to classpath or any system or environment variables.Response is Highly awaited.

Whole books have been written about this very subject you know, do you really expect somebody to explain it to you in a forum post? Try the book "JBoss in Action". While you're at it, I'd look up "Enterprise Javabeans 3" (O'Reilly).

  • Setting up applications and running them off of an external harddrive?

My MacBook is on it's last leg at the ripe age of 4 years old and I would like to move a significant amount of my applications off of the computer but still allow them to run on an external hard drive, when plugged in.
Is this possible? And if so, how can I make it happen?
The programs are mostly adobe products if that helps...

    Buzz.
External drives can be connected and used in a number of ways.
Connection can be achieved either as an external device to your mac/pc or as a network drive, which can be achieved either through an extreme, a genuine network drive or even I believe with a direct connection to the ethernet port on the tv (with hacks).
Consensus seems to favour keeping the itunes database files in their default location.
If you choose to copy files to your itunes folder in your itunes prefs and let itunes organise your library for you, you will use the external HD for all your media and when it is unavailable so will all your media. You could also organise the library yourself and choose just to keep large movie files on your ext HD, this would mean you can still play non movie files in itunes on your laptop when it is used on it's own, but need to connect the drive for your movies.

  • How do I write javacard applications and run them in Eclipse 4.2

    Greetings-
I have seen some content online about javacard on older versions of Eclipse. I like to ask if it is possible to write javacard applications in Eclipse 4.2? I have an Android development environment, which is basically the bundle that Google provides. I want to know if it is possible for me to use this instance of Eclipse. If not, which version of Eclipse is the one to go with please?

I will recommend you this plugin (JCDE for eclipse)
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/eclipse-jcde/
Note that it will only work with JavaCard framework 2.2.2, I am developing applets on Eclipse Kepler (4.2 probably).
If you dont want to use this plugin, I suggest you try to find or write ANT script which would convert your class files into cap. You would be implementing the applet using standard Java project.

  • Appclication Client deployment in sun application server 8

    Hi
Iam new to EJB i was able to deploy and run the EJB sample (ConveterApp) given in the sun's j2ee tutorial....
In all the examples they have mentioned that we have to deploy Application Client to the Server ... and then the server will create a Client-Jar file ... By using that Client Jar file we have to run the client ....
If my standalone-client application and server is in the same machine there is no problem...
if my server is located somewhere else and iam developing a client application in some other machine ...then... DO I need to deploy the client to the server???
If so how can i deploy it to the server ? what are all the files do i require in the client side??

If my standalone-client application and server is in
the same machine there is no problem...
if my server is located somewhere else and iam
developing a client application in some other machine
...then... DO I need to deploy the client to the
server???No you need not. You only need to have the client JAR files so that you code works :)

  • Error trying to deserialize EJB HomeHandle and EJB Handle classes

I get the following exception when I try to deserialize both a javax.ejb.HomeHandle and a javax.ejb.Handle.  I serialize and immediately deserialize within the same application using the same classloader so there are not alot of external variables that may cause the problem.  Any ideas on why I can't deserialize an ejb handle?
The reason I am doing this is to try and get around the need to reference another application just to call a remote method in that application.  I want to serialize the remote home interface handle or the remote component interface handle and deserialize it using my local application classloader.  Does anybody know if this would work?

As a simpler test, I modified the UserManagementBean of the Car Rental example application.  I added some code in the register method that serializes and deserializes the Handle object obtained from the SessionContext.getEJBObject().getHandle() method.  The serialization completes without issue.  However, I get the same error when trying to deserialize the Handle object:
