How to save a PDF In Adobe X

I read the other threads, but their solutiuons do not work for me.
I ahve Adobe X, but when I open a file, it does not have Advanced on top, or an extended tab on the right hand side.  Where can I go to enable saving the form?

You can enable saving with Adobe Acrobat, not Adobe Reader.

    Can you please tell me how to save filled PDF in adobe reader 9.0 with all the filled details

    You cannot buy 8 or 9.
    In X (10 - which you can't buy either), you can do File > Save as > Reader Extended PDF > Enable additional features.
    Important notes:
    1. KEEP THE ORIGINAL. Once rights are added many kinds of editing are permanently locked out.
    2. THERE ARE STRICT LIMITS on the number of people who can save a form. Details in the EULA: check it carefully (or have a lawyer check it).
    Also note that Reader XI can save forms with no special preparation.

  • How do I save a pdf in Adobe Reader XI (11.0.06)?

    Does anyone know how to save a pdf now from Adobe Reader?  If I try to save now it gives me the option of either save to online account or to Acrobat.com but neither of those work when I want to attach the pdf to an e-mail.  The only place I can see the pdf is on the Mac that I'm working from.  It cannot be accessed by anybody I send it to despite them all having Adobe Reader.  I'm sure this wasn't the way it was before and this is driving me insane now.  So many hours spent on what should be a really simple task
    Thanks

    I've never found technology to make life easier. It mainly offers the promise (often unfulfilled) of making it cheaper or quicker. This didn't happen when the Girl Guides put a form in an envelope and posted it. But they probably laid off the person whose job that was with the promise of everything being easy on the internet.
    PDF has, curiously, become a victim of its own success. A few years ago, you could say to people "You need Adobe Reader" and it was the only serious game in town. So they got it and it works. Now everyone is making their own PDF reader for whatever reason, fewer and fewer people can be sure of having Reader. (PDF readers come at least with every Mac, every Windows 8 system, Chrome and FireFox, which covers a LOT of ground).
    This is coupled with a bizarre decision Adobe made a few years ago to have two kinds of form, one of which all the other software fails with (and, as I noted, even Adobe's own software on iPad and Android fails). This was a neat idea which was designed for big corporations. Then the really big mistake: giving everyone with Acrobat the tools to make these new kinds of form, and making it seem they were preferre or the only game in town. This is finished now (Acrobat 11 doesn't include this big boy's software) but the damage is done, oh how it is done.
    Even regular forms tend to only work properly in real Adobe Reader. The fact is, if you make or distribute PDF forms you need to tell people to use Adobe Reader, and to know exactly how to help them do that. If people can't do that or their users won't be motivated to bother, then PDF forms are no longer a suitable choice. Sad but true.

  • How do I save a PDF in Adobe so it displays correctly in the default Firefox reader?

    I have seen discussions on how to change your own settings in Firefox so PDFs display correctly (Viewing PDF documents in Firefox 19+) however I am looking for a solution on how to save PDFs so they display correctly within the default new Firefox reader. Our PDFs are looking bad and I can't go into each clients browser settings and fix (http://www.cherrybekaertbenefits.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/ACA_Infographic_072114.pdf). Are their any settings within the Acrobat Distiller that will fix this without the viewer having to go into their own settings?

    Hmm, not a subtle difference.
    We haven't had many PDF experts or Adobe Illustrator users posting tips here; those might be sprinkled around on other forums, blogs, or support sites.
    I did notice when viewing the PDF properties in Adobe Reader that the PDF was created with Optimize for Fast Web View enabled. This is a feature that allows for progressive rendering of PDFs over a slow connection ([http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/optimize-native-pdf-file-sizes.html#main_Optimize_for_Fast_Web_View_option]). Could you try re-generating the PDF with that feature disabled to see whether it makes a difference?

  • How to save Fillable PDF form created in XI - So Acrobat Reader can fill out and send back

    Hi, Im extremely hopeful someone can help me with this question, Ive had extreme luck with this question site, you have all been amazing.
    I have created a fillable form in Adobe Acrobat XI and I have saved my work and Im ready to send the form to my client.
    I have been told that I need to save my file in a manner that the general public that does not have Acrobat XI, and mainly has acrobat reader, will be able to open, fill my form out, and send back to me completed.
    How do I do this.
    Ive run a couple tests with coworker and its not allowing the saving of the information that she filled out.
    Does anyone know how I need to save and distribute this form so I get it back filled out from my clients? that probably have only reader?
    thanks in advance for your help.
    Amy

    I think I figured this out???? My pdf tester has gone to bed, so hopefully I will know by morning if this is my solution......
    Open the PDF in Acrobat XI (the form you have saved that is ready to be filled out to whoever you distribute the form to).
    Choose Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader (Acrobat 8/9) (if you have XI do not do this step, but do step 4 for XI)
    or
    File > Save As >Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features (Acrobat X) (Its actually not in save as, but in save as other)
    Save the PDF using a different file name, you will be using this new file to be the file you will distribute.
    When you now open the PDF in Adobe Reader you will be able to fill the form and save the data and then send it back to the author that is requesting the form to be filled out.

  • Save Existing PDF in Adobe Reader XI

    I've just installed Adobe Reader XI on a bunch of workstations and I'm confused on how to save an existing PDF. For example, if I open a PDF from My Documents, stamp or make a comment, and then try to save, it brings up the Save As box. The same thing happens if I pull up a PDF from our SharePoint site, stamp or comment, and try to save. How do I just save the changes I've made to the existing PDF? It can't be that difficult but I feel like I'm missing something. Thanks!

    I don't know why this happens; sometimes it helps to disable Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
    Or check if the new Adobe Acrobat Reader DC works better.

  • How to save a .pdf

    is there a way to save a pdf i created by using one of the fileds in the form so it will use that as the name of file, so i will be able to search for it in the future. for example i created a form that has a purchase order field, i would like for the pdf to grab the information from that field(numbers) to make the file save as name for me..hope this makes sense.
    Thank you

    Yes, it's possible, but requires installing a script on the local machine.

  • How to save a PDF document that I have received

    I apologize if this is the wrong group but I know there is a way to save a doc in the print menu but this is a bit different.
    I received a pdf doc as an attachment to an email and I need to save it. I am in the Preview window with the doc open and I go to File/Save as. Another window opens and says "Without the owner password, you do not have permission to save this document" I looked at the print window under PDF and it won't let me save a pdf as a pdf.
    The sender doesn't have a password.
    How do I save this doc?
    Andy

    The sender might not have one, but the creator (owner) does. Why do you have to save it? It exists in your attachments folder.

  • How to save to PDF-X

    The print shop I submit documents to for professional printing prefers the document in CYMK instead of RGB. Apparently there is no way built into Pages '09 to accomplish this task. Someone suggested going to "Print" and then to  "PDF" and then in the drop-down menu go to "Save as PDF-X". I can save a 1 page document in this way but when I attempt a document more than 1 page I get the message "Alert...Couldn't create PDF/X-3 document".
    So the question remains: How to save a multipage document in PDF-X?

    It could be the size that is the problem. Images can be very "heavy" and Pages does keep all information from the images even if you just want to show a little in the newsletter. I would suggest that you crop the images in a photo editing application. There are free or shareware apps you can use. The resolution doesn't have to be more than 300 dpi for printing, maybe a little less. How large are the images by the way, in Mb?

    Hi,
    Try the following code
    FORM gui_upload.
      DATA: lv_filetype(10) TYPE c,
            lv_gui_sep TYPE c,
            lv_file_name TYPE string.
      lv_filetype = 'PDF'.
      lv_file_name = <name of ur file>.
    DATA: tb_file_data TYPE TABLE OF text4096.
    * FM call to upload file
      CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_UPLOAD'

          filename                = lv_file_name
          filetype                = lv_filetype
          has_field_separator     = lv_gui_sep
        TABLES
          data_tab                = tb_file_data
        EXCEPTIONS
          file_open_error         = 1
          file_read_error         = 2
          no_batch                = 3
          gui_refuse_filetransfer = 4
          invalid_type            = 5

          header_not_allowed      = 9
          separator_not_allowed   = 10
          header_too_long         = 11
          unknown_dp_error        = 12
          access_denied           = 13
          dp_out_of_memory        = 14
          disk_full               = 15
          dp_timeout              = 16
          OTHERS                  = 17.
      IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    * MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    *         WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.                    "gui_upload
    I dont think you can save the data into sap tables in PDF format.
    With the above code you can save data into an internal table.

  • How to save fillable PDF on Mac then share or send

    Question
    I followed instructions to select print, select the Save as PDF but when I tried to send the completed fillable PDF; the blanks are empty.  I can't even open the saved document that shows there is information saved.  When I try to open, there is a totally White page--- nothing.  What could I be doing incorrectly on the save and open?

    I aware of that; I created the forms to be saved, completed and submitted
    using Adobe Pro in the faculty lab.  I then had the school put Adobe Pro on
    my computer to tweak the forms when I needed.  However on testing forms now
    on my computer, I can not fill out and SAVE the information to submit when
    completed.  Perhaps my Adobe Pro is corrupted and needs to be
    re-installed?  If I go to another Mac computer and use the same created PDF
    forms, complete them, save them, I am able to submit the completed form and
    the information can be seen.  I cannot now do this on my Mac now that I
    have installed this Adobe Pro.

  • What happened to reading pdfs on ipad after "upgrading" to iOS5?  I cant find them nor can I figure out how to save a pdf in iOS5.

    I cant seem to figure out how to save pdf's to my ipad in iOS5.  I understand they got wiped out with the update but why did the feature go away or if it didnt how do I save a pdf for offline viewing?

    Captkenrea-
    It probably depends on where you are seeing the PDFs.  I had not noticed a change with my iPad.
    In Mail, a PDF attachment can be read there, but it also can be "Opened In" some other Apps such as iBooks.  When opened in iBooks, it is saved to one of the bookshelves.  If you do not see it, press on Collections at the top of an iBooks bookshelf.  It may have been saved to a different bookshelf.
    In Safari, often you can press and hold on a link or document, and have additional options appear.
