How to save and retrive table column values added via view enhancement

Hi,
I want to enhance standard webdynpro component FITE_VC_REVIEW.
I want to add new column to Fight Info Table and also to Hotel Info table.I can do UI changes via view enhancement .
First Approach: I add new fields to Flight Info and Hotel Info structure.
Create an additional Coolum in Flight Info and Hotel Info Table and Bind it to newly created field in structures.
Question :
What all changes I have to make to save and retrieve values from database table.
Kindly guide with Steps
Second Approach: I create a new table/structure for my requirement and bind table column to these fields.
Question:
What all changes I have to make to save and retrieve values from database table.
Kindly guide with Steps
And which approach will be good.

How to save and retrive XML DOM to/from SQLServer

I am new to JAVA, and now I'm trying to save a large XML DOM to SQLServer, and retrive it as a XML DOM later. Would someone please let me know how can I do it?

You would be better looking at the XML DOM documentation for your database rather than asking here. If your DB doesn't provide XML facilities, then there are products and techniques that can be applied to map XML to SQL, and you can always serialize the java objects into a blob, but XML to SQL mapping isn't standardized, so the first call is the server's documentation.

Can anyone describe how to cut and paste table columns in Data Modeler?

A number of times I have tried using the copy and paste columns functionality in Data Modeler, but in all circumstances when I've copied a set of columns from a table (by highlighting the column set and pressing the copy columns button), opened a new table, and pressed the paste columns at the end button, nothing has happened. is there some unintuitive thing that I need to do?

I see I left "Copy" out of the first reply I sent.
1. Create a table or tables, say tables A and B.
2. Expand the table which has the columns you want to copy, say table A, in the browser
3. Shift (or ctrl) select the columns and select COPY from the context menu.
4. Click in the table you want to copy to, say table B, in the diagram and right-click to use the context menu , select paste
or select the table B in the browser and right-click, select paste.
Are you using the copy in the menu?

How to save and load control's values

I use, as you've understand, the invoke node "get all control value variant", and i want to change the format of the output array in order to save it an load it later to get back the configuration of my VI. For the moment i've try as john tell me with the data manipulation's functions and it's not runing. I send you an example of the code that i read in the array it's a string for controls name and a variant for the values.
I don't really now in what format i must change them to load it later with the invoke node "set control value".

According to your description, you want to use SSRS to update data in database table. Right?
Though Reporting Services is mostly used for rendering data, your requirement is still can be achieved technically. You need to create a really complicated stored procedure. Pass insert/delete/update and the columns we need to insert/delete/update as
parameters into the stored procedure. When we click "View Report", the stored procedure will execute so that we can execute insert/delete/update inside of the stored procedure. Please take a reference to two related articles below:

I have made an application on Oracle Express. How to save and move that to another machine ?

I'm in the process of porting my XE app to a 10.1 instance.
I created an app export and export file of the schema. Then I installed a client on the same machine so I could connect and I get errors detailed in the end of this thread when attempting to import. Most of the tables are successful however, none of the procedural code goes in. The app export imported fine.
Now, I can manually copy the objects that remain but only if I can connect to XE and this ability seems to have been lost with the install of the 10.1 client.
Does anyone know how I can connect to XE using PLSQL Developer or is it indeed possible to connect to XE on a machine that is configured to also connect to a 10.1 remote server? I have installed the 10.1 client into a new Oracle home.

Popup is not getting launched click on command link in table column value

We have a scenario where we bring the pop-up clicking on command link in the table column value. It was working fine before but from last few labels this is not working.
Here is the code snippet that we are using,

It is important to set partialSubmit="true" in the <af:commandLink> tag. A full submit will be made otherwise and the popup will not show. Use also tryggerType="action" instead of triggerType="click" and use the proper chararcter case of the tag attribute names. Try with this:

I am not able to read the xslt table column value.

I have the scenario like this.
I have two irpt pages first.irpt and second.irpt and saperate xslt tables for each page and common js file for two pages.
when I click on first.irpt   page xslt table row that opens the second.irpt as a popup window then I click on the column in second.irpt xslt row after that column value should be inserted in to first.irpt xslt table column.
In above I have done everything except I am not able to update the first.irpt xslt table column as Even I am not able to read that value.

First Page:

You have to call parent page function from child page.
No need to use common js.
If you want to access variable from parent page use
window.opener.<variable name>.
Example
window.opener.Toaccessinchildpage
You have to declare that variable as global variable in Parent page js file.

Syntax of DDL options and related (table) column names

Hi,
where can I find something like a mapping between DDL options and related table column names?
For example I do have the table options PCTFREE, FREELISTS and NOCOMPRESS. The related table columns out of user_tables are PCT_FREE, FREELIST and COMPRESS.
PCT(_)FREE wins an Underscore, FREELIST(S) wins an "S" and it is "NOCOMPRESS" if COMPRESS has a value "Y(es)".

If there are no more DDLOptions possible than that, it is fine for me. If not, but all kinds of options are to find in only one or two tables of the database ( user_tables for table options, dba_constraints and dba_segments for column options, primary and foreign keys, user_indexes and user_segments for indexes ...), that is fine for me, too. (As long as I get to know which tables are "sufficient" for that.) If it is different than both of that, that's bad.
However if you want to use defaults instead of
absolut values, it is better to remove certain parts,
like the storage clause, from the generated output.I understand this, but I am more interested to have all and not leaving out some of them in order to have the defaults in the database after running the DDL.
A totally different approach could be to
a) create a database link from one DB to another.
b) create table <new_table> as select * from
<old_table@dbLink> where 1=2;I keep that in mind, thanks for that hint.

How to find real owner.table.column in a view

This seems pretty easy but I haven't been able to locate a way using the dba_views or all_views to pinpoint the exact owner.table.column that a given view column is based on.
I can retrieve the text of the view from dba_views, but I don't see something like all_tab_columns that has a second set of owner, table and column_name columns to show what the underlying column in a view is.
e.g. create me.view zz as select a.acp,b.acno from tom.tab1 a, fred.tab2 b where a.key = b.key
desc me.zz
acp varchar2(4)
acno number
Now I would like to select something like the following from all_tab_columns:
select column_name,orig_owner, orig_table, orig_column from all_tab_columns where owner = 'ME' and table_name = 'ZZ'
acp tom tab1 acp
acno fred tab2 acno
Does such a view exist to extract this information?

By hosed do you mean there is no way to get this information from an Oracle view? I'm not sure what you mean by sys.all_views.owner, that just tells the owner of the view itself, not the owner.table.column of each column in the view. If the view is all based on a single table then obviously I can figure out the information, but many/most views join several tables, even from different schemas.
What I am looking for is the equivalent of all_view_columns which has view column information as well as the base table owner.table.column. -quinn
