Now on Mountain Lion; how do I download new versions of Numbers, Pages, and Keynote?

Just installed Mountain Lion.
In checking out the iCloud features, it works fine for Preview and TextEdit.
But Numbers and Pages do not seem to be integrated with iCloud. Then I noticed that my version of these is out of date. There are new updates which I need to download to take advantage of the new iCloud integration. But I cannot seem to download them. When I run Software Update, nothing needs updating.
So how do I download these updates?

iWork '09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

Don't post in all caps. Besides being more difficult to read it's tantamount to shouting and is considered rude in forums. What problems are you having? What model Mac do you have, how much RAM and free space on the boot drive?
Boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and try the following in order as needed:
1 - select Disk Utility and repair both the disk and disk permissions. Reboot normally.
2 - reinstall the Mavericks system.

You need to give more details:
1. What version of Pages?
2. Where did you get the Greek dictionary from and exactly how did you install it?
3. Are you applying the language to your text?

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Download numbers, pages and keynote for free

I bought a MacBook Pro in Nov. 2013. It was delivered with numbers, pages and keynote.
As there where problems with the MacBook, I had to delete everything and set up the system again by deleting the hard disk and installing OSX mavericks again. I thought numbers, pages and keynote would come along with mavericks. But they didn't. I cannot download them unless I pay lot of money. Is there a way to download the programms again without paying the money?

Numbers is asking me to download newer version of Numbers to open spreadsheet I just worked on 30 mins ago

So I was using a spreadsheet about 30 mins ago that is saved in my iCloud. I now want to edit it and now I get a pop up saying I need to d/l a newer version of Numbers. What gives? They want me to purchase the updated app. I have the 2.3 version at present. do I have to do this in order to edit my document? please help!

So I'm upgrading my audio engineering software and I need Mountain Lion. I don't want to go to Yosemite because it's not officially approved. I already paid for it online, how can I download it? I haven't received an e-mail or anything, but my order status online says it's completed. I can't find it under purchases in the App Store too. Someone please help!!

Going from Mavericks back to Mountain Lion, how do I download the correct software versions from app store for apps like iPhoto etc.

I have a somewhat older iMac and after installing Mavericks the computer slowed down and the harddrive died. I just got a new harddrive installed and they had trouble getting mavericks to work on it also so they installed Mountain Lion which I am pleased with. I have purchased apps from the app store such as iPhoto and Pages, etc. so I thought I would easily be able to download them for mountain lion. When I look for the apps to download on the app store it lists the versions I had with Mavericks. iPhoto for example says I can download it for free but in the compatibility sections it says it requires OS 10.9 or later. Where can I find and install versions of my software such as iPhoto and iLife that will work again with Mountain Lion?

Try downloading an app. There are those here who believe that the MAS will determine that you have OS X Mt Lion and actually download the app that your kit needs.

Hi, probably a really stupid question but I too have had all the problems with itunes not showing tracks etc in lower hal; of screen and now gather that I need to download new itunes 6.0 - only problem is that I have no idea how to! Do I save or run the file? If I save, where to?

Save the file to your desktop. It will be named iTunesSetup.exe.
Turn off all your internet security before you run it, Norton esp is causing problems.

IMPORTANT: You should always back up your music!
There have been quite a few instances of the library not getting recognized, but the music wasn't deleted....they just had to tell iTunes where the songs were.
Three cases so far of people losing purchased music and not having backups.

When I try to enter certain sites, I get a message that says I need to update my Safari browser. I have a MacBook Pro (Mac OS X version 10.6.8) that has Safari version 5.1.10. I check for updates regularly but have not had a Safari update. I can't figure out how to update it. I've gone to the Apple support for the download but all it has is the same version I have. But when I google Safari download for Macbook Pro, I see listings for higher versions. But I can't get them to work either. So, is there a newer version? If not, why am I getting these messages, especially anything to do with art, saying my browser needs to be updated? If there is a newer version, then how do I get it?

You need to upgrade the computer’s OS to get a newer Safari. Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and download Mavericks from the Mac App Store.

How do I download new versions of tracks that are already in my Library?

I downloaded about a hundred songs from iTunes between last night and this morning. A number of the tracks do not play to the end of the file, cutting off in the middle instead of playing to the end. I tried making an .mp3 copy of several of them, and they all generate a file error in iTunes. Obviously the tracks that I downloaded are corrupted in some way, so they need to be re-downloaded. The problem is that iTunes says they are already downloaded, so it won't let me re-download a new (hopefully clear) copy. Is there any way I can do this without having to pay for the tracks all over again?

What country are you in ? What you can re-download, and where, is listed on this page.
If you are in one of those countries where you can re-download music then delete the entry for them in iTunes (you don't have to delete the actual files, just the 'entries' for them in iTunes) and see if you can then re-download them - I think that if there is an entry for them in iTunes then it doesn't think that they need re-downloading as they are already there. Downloaded new version itunes 10.5. and i cant get itunes store or update my iphone,Tried Run

I have same problem as most people but answers i see don't resolve my problem !
I updated to itunes 10.5, now can't get into store or can't update my iphone, i just get blank page now and then it will say you my not be connectd to net when i am.
Ran diagnostics check and results came back all verified except last one 'Secure link to itunes store failed'.
Checked my firewall itunes isn't blocked even stopped my antivirus and firewall applications from running but still wil not connect.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated as spent many hours searching itunes troubleshooting with no luck !!!

10.4.11 is "up2date" for THAT OS. It is only old and can not run todays itunes, that is all.
Like already answered here you need a complete new system to run itunes current. Leopard 10.5.8 will work, but do not count on its itunes next support. Leo is halfway dead.
So to to be on the safe side for the future go with nothing low as Snowleopard 10.6.8 and if the machine can take it, you might want to upgrade that immediately after to Lion 10.7.1 which is the most "up2date" version. lion can only be installed from within Snow, even if you buy it as usb thumdrive instead of purchasing from appstore (which is not available before OS 10.6.6 ).
Apple usually only supports the current OSX and its former version for their apps like itunes and safari updates = 10.6 now and for some time , 10.7 now and until 10.8 cometh out one day .. the days of 10.5 however are almost gone. and 10.4 is long dead.
10.5.x was available for PowerPC ( old "G4/G5", all unsupported hardware as of now ) and Intel ( any ) ; 10.6.x is INTEL only ( any Intel ) , and 10.7.x is INTEL 64bit only ( core2duo minimum )
