How to SAve changes with theGET_PREVIOUS & GET_NEXT

I have a form that I like to make changes and go to the next record, I've used the built in Next & Previous Button, but those doesn't save, I get the Warning (Are you sure you want to leave this page without saving?) so I need to click on Apply Changes and that send me back to the previous page or (if I change the navigation) back to the same page and then I click Next.
My question: Is there a way to do both at the same time, Commit the changes and GO to NEXT or PREVIOUS Page, with a single button?

Yes, go to the Next (or Previous) button properties page and go to the URL Redirect section. Change it to "No Target", this will make it submit the page as usual instead of the warning popup.
Open up the On Submit Before Computation Branch that is attached to the Next (and Previous) button and change its firing point to OnSubmit After Processing. Make sure that any unconditional branch on the page has the highest branch sequence (999) so it is evaluated last.
Assuming you have a Automatic DML process (Process Row of ...) process on the page to save changes, remove any When Button Pressed condition from it and make it conditional upon the following PL/SQL expression
:REQUEST in ('SAVE','CREATE','DELETE')
OR :REQUEST LIKE 'GET_NEXT%'
OR :REQUEST LIKE 'GET_PREV%'Hope this helps.

This will come after the data was EDITTED and when SAVE was clicked by user in output scren.
Here now in the final internal table(ITAB) you can find the data changed in EDIT mode.
After this you can do manipulation what ever you want.

How to save changes developed with LR to the original photo file?

Once changes developed I want to save them onto the original file. I export the selected image (original photo + changes) with overwriting choice but the result file has only the original and not the changes

Presumably we’re talking about something other than RAW files, here, right?
LR is not Photoshop. I don’t think you can overwight your original during an Export because it is in use. LR isn’t really set up to do this, anyway. LR is non-destructive so it would apply whatever settings it has for an image to the image and display the result for you. If you overwrote the image, then LR would still apply the settings it had for the original image to the new image with the same name and would effectively be applying the settings twice, which is not what you want.
What you probably want to do is export to a subfolder and then re-import those images so what you’ve exported are distinct from your originals. If you really don’t want your originals after the export, just delete the originals and leave the exported images that you’ve already imported.

Iphoto 11 , How to save changes to photos, not saving -/ snow leopard

Hi , after much ado then discovering the recent "fix" for Iphoto 11 I started using it today. I uploaded new photos , edited them and quickly discovered that Iphoto was NOT saving any of the changes I had made.There is no longer a "Done" button so I went back to again check the few photos I had adjusted , Iphoto only saved changes for one out of 10 of the photos I had adjusted.
Is there a "save changes" function I am missing here? Anyone else experiencing this problem?

How are you exporting? If you select the photo and export (file menu ==> export) with kind = JPEG or current the edited version will be exported
if that is not happening try renewing your preference file -
A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

How to save changes in a Table?

Hi Experts,
I have included my own component into an SAP component as an assigment block. My component shows a table (Table Context Node). I have made some columns editable. However, when I try to make changes in this table, after pushing the Enter Button, the chaged values is being replaced by the old value.
I have set
rv_disabled = 'FALSE'.
in my GET_I_<attribute name> method. I guess there are other things to do..?
How can I make and save changes in my table?

I just saw that in Method IF_BOL_BO_PROPERTY_ACCESS~SET_PROPERTY , the condition:
if ME->IS_CHANGEABLE( ) = ABAP_TRUE and
LV_PROPS_OBJ->GET_PROPERTY_BY_IDX( LV_IDX ) ne IF_GENIL_OBJ_ATTR_PROPERTIES=>READ_ONLY.
is skipped (coding in IF statement is skipped)..
I think the IS_CHANGEABLE( ) thing is "true", but
IF_GENIL_OBJ_ATTR_PROPERTIES=>READ_ONLY
is set..
Where/ how can I set/ reset this? I have had a look around and did not find anything..

How to save file with the "/" symbol in the name?

Hi,
I have Adobe Professional 8. I need to save files with names that include the symbol /, but Adobe interprets, for example, A/88/6, as file name 6, in a folder named 88, in a folder named A, and sets up new folders to accommodate that. I cannot substitute another symbol as I already have thousands of pdf files in a database using the / symbol, and I need them in the same folders.

As I said, I'm pretty ignorant about these things. I wouldn't know how to begin using a "hack". All I know is that I was able, for over a year, to save .pdf files directly from my browser on several computers, and use the forbidden "/" symbol in every file name. After saving the files, Adobe will happily open them, and allow me to edit and re-save them, although I now see that it will not allow me to "save as" them under a different name without removing that symbol.
I may not be tech-savvy, but I can state that everything I have said here and above is entirely accurate. I would be happy to open a dropbox account to show you countless .pdfs with the symbol "/" in the name.
This is honestly not that big a deal. I greatly appreciate this discussion, and you have inspired me to become slightly less computer-ignorant.

Videos - How to save changes made via Adjustments?

The new video features: Great!
I tried CTRL+S to save changes (changed Exposure to totally black for testing) to my .MOV video file - however, the file is unchanced. I'm guessing the adjustments are still just sitting in my Lightroom catalogue.
Is the correct way to export the video and re-encode it then?
If export is the only way - shouldn't there be some "save" function? I never trust the Lightroom catalogue to always keep all changes, I always do some CTRL+A, CTRL+S to save the changes to the files, so they are hardwired - would I have to export the videos, copy them back to the original folder and delete the original videos?

You cannot save changes to the video files as you can do with photo files.
In this case, everything is saved in the catalog, and you will need to export to render the video.
However, it is generally admitted that the catalog is a safer place to record changes, compared to individual files, and it is also easier to backup.

You haven't said what version of Pages you are referring to.
Hold down the option key when you go to the File menu and Save As… appears.
It was Apple stiff necked response to users complaint about its removal. They couldn't just put it back.
Once you do do this it is pretty much what it was before.

How to save layers with cropping?

I want to export layers to files (basically what "Export Layers To Files.jsx" does) but with cropping each layer (to different sizes). I know how to crop a document from script, but that also crops all other layers (erases their content outside of the cropping area). So my question is - how do I keep/retrieve the cropped out content of the document (layers)? Or maybe there's a better approach altogether?

Seems to me that you only need to keep the cropped pixels because of way you want to do this.
However if you want to do it this way you could create a history snapshot, crop and save the first layer. Then restore the document using the snapshot and crop and save the second.
Or you may be able to just store the current history state in a variable then restore the document using that history state if you are only using a few history states to crop and save.
With a snapshot you don't have to worry about the number of history states but it needs action manager. Storing the current history state can be done using the DOM.

Are you using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY? If yes, then pass 'X' to the parameter I_SAVE while calling the fm.

How to save Solo with the Song?

When I activate solo on some tracks, save the song and open it again, solo is not active anymore, so that it blows off my speakers when I start playing and forget to activate solo again.

Solo is a momentary button.
And, do you have ANYTHING between your speakers and the computer's audio otuput?
You should have some sort of mixer / monitoring thing that has a volume knob, so you don't kill your ears.

choose the item about Reader Rights
when open set what you want Reader to be allowed to do.
Once set and saved the can fillout, save, email but they can not change the actual form itself just the contents they added.
Not there is a cap of 500 hundred instances per different PDF.

How to save attachment with 'Automatic Save' set to False

Can someone please clarify for me how I should code for making sure that the attachment is saved (when 'Automatic Save' set to False) . The Developer's guide states that
"...in the processformRequest method of the controller object, you need to capture the event of this submit button and call commit() explicitly."
I assume that by "this submit button" the button located on the product page is meant (the page from which attachments page is invoked). In this case my question is - which event to I need to capture for this button? If I am already commiting changes when the user clicks the Apply button on the product page (not on the attachments page) then I thought no additional commit is required anywhere? Is this correct? My problem is that with 'Automatic Save' set to False the attachment is not being saved.

Thank you for the clarification. Let me ask you please - by calling commit you mean issuing 'transaction().commit()"? The thing is that I AM doing that - I issue commit once I click submitButton on the product page, all changes are saved except the attachements - but the attachment is not saved. Do you have an idea what the problem might be? Of course if I set 'Automatic Save' property on the Attachment item to 'True' then I am fine. I appreciate your feedback.
