How to save multiple images from jpeg to psd?

I'm pretty new at this and have tons of vacation photos. Things I've read have left me terrified of leaving my images in jpeg, but I don't know how to save them all to .psd (and is that really the format I want to use?). I tried, and suddenly I'm out of space on my harddrive, so I think I've made copies of copies and have way more saved than I need. Any advice is appreciated - thanks.

    I am not familiar with Jpeg2000, but the easiest way I've found to go from Java to a JPeg file is with Java Adavanced Imaging (JAI) package from Sun. Take a look at it and see if it meets your requirements.

    I have to retrieve multiple images from oracle database and have to display the image in the jsp.There are at least two parts to the problem.
    1. Get it from the database.
    2. Display it.
    Part 1 has nothing to do with part 2.
    You must solve 1 before you solve 2.
    Finally generically there is no such thing an "image" but rather there is binary data which is represented in such a way that it one of many formats that represent an "image".
    Knowing which specific format the "image" is stored in will at a minimum be helpful and could be required.

  • How to save greyscale image as jpeg?

    Anyone know how to save a greyscale image as a jpeg in labview?

    Hi Jonathan,
    If I understand you correctly, you had a greyscaled image, which you applied color to and now want to save this new image.  Before I jump into possibly solutions, I have a question for you.
    Are you using any IMAQ, Motion, or Vision VIs?  If not, try using the Picture Control VIs - specifically, the "Write JPEG File.VI"
    If that won't work, please post a small piece of code illustrating the issue.
    Thanks!

  • How to save an image from an web page?

    Hello everybody!
    I have a problem and I hope someone can help me :).
    I am trying to save/download an image from an web page to my computer. So given an URL which contains the image, I want to save this/write this image to disk. Here is my code:
    import java.net.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Test{
        public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception{
            Test test = new Test();
            test.readFile();
        public void readFile() throws Exception{
            InputStream inputStream = new URL("http://www.google.se/images/hp1.gif").openStream();
            InputStreamReader reader = new InputStreamReader(inputStream);
            BufferedReader buffReader = new BufferedReader(reader);
            BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("savedImage.gif"));
            int x=0;
            while((x = buffReader.read()) != -1) {
                bw.write(x);
            bw.flush();
    }The code saves the image to disk, but unfortunately the image is distorted. Can anyone help me to solve this problem.

    Yes, it can. Did you look at the documentation as suggested.
    Specifically the file and path attributes?

  • Can someone please tell me how to save an image from Photoshop CS4 as a RTL file?

    I recently bought a VuTek Printer and I have to have a RTL file that is from Photoshop, does this have anything to do with PostScript?

    Are you sure about that .RTL file extension?
    All that I can find (quick search on Google), indicates that it is a Borland (software) RunTime Library file, in a TXT format.
    Are there any details in the printer's manual about what it needs, with an explanation of the .RTL format?
    Good luck,

  • Saving multiple images from

    Are there any updated functions or apps that would allow you to save multiple images from a text message to camera roll from iphone? If not, what are the best alternatives these days?

    Some apps, like Mail allow you to do this but others do not. Tap on photo and a list of choices comes up. In Mail one of the choices is to Save X Photos where X equals the number of photos in the email. I've never received more than one photo in a text so I'm not sure if this same choice will appear there.

    Burn for what purpose? To share with others?
    Export the photos to a folder on the Desktop. Burn that with the Finder. Result: a folder of images that any computer can read.
    Using iPhoto's Burn command creates an iPhoto Library on the disk and is suitable only for others also using the same version of iPhoto.
    This User Tip
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
    has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
    Note that rewriteable disks do not necessarily mean that you can append files to them, and require special burning software to do so.

    how to have multiple images on the same screen? like in the movies where you see several actions at the same time ....
    i don't find  a tutorial in adobe tv....
    thanks !!

    The short answer is that you'll put the source clip(s) for each inset on a different video track, all stacked up. Then use the Scale and Position effects (under "Motion" on the Effect Controls panel) to reduce their size and place them where you want.
    If the content of an inset will involve edited content (where you're cutting among various clips or just trimming out unwanted content from a single clip), then you'll probably find it easier to do all those edits in one sequence, then nest that sequence in the master sequence, where you apply the Scale and Positioning effects. That will save the step of applying the scale and position effects to each edited track item.

  • Can you edit multiple images from a PDF in photoshop?

    I scan a lot of old publications with images and drawings. The images are in greyscale, but my scanner produces better results set to color. As such, I have to convert the images to greyscale in Photoshop from Acrobat. I have several PS actions that make this process easier, but I wish there was a way to select multiple images from a page or PDF file and run the actions on them (a batch) instead of one at a time. Is there? Or perhaps another method than what I am doing?

    I recommend that you scan first, save as TIFF, do any desired correction, and only then make PDFs. Scanning direct to PDFs is great for simple uncomplicated workflows, but a liability when correction is needed.
