How to save users added to list using people picker to sharepoint Group

Hi
            I have created List with some people picker columns and now when I save a list,the data is saved to list as well as the users in particular column will be added to particular sharepoint
group. Is there any sharepoint out of box solution for this or I need to do it programmatically. Kindly provide me any procedures or solutions as you know.
  1) how to bind the particular sharepoint group to the particular column
  2) How to add users to the particular sharepoint group

There is no out of the box way to achieve this.You need to write a custom event receiver ,inside event receiver
event,  you
can check column (people picker value) and add it to desired group if that user not exist already.

    we bind our UI elements to context attributes of appropriate type .
    we read their values using the code wizard or by pressing control+F7, click on radio button read node/attribute
    here for ur specific case , u must have binded ur table control with the context attribute , now u need to simply read this attribute

    It is extremely important you realise.. the Time Capsule was never designed for this.
    It is a backup target for Time Machine.. that is the software on the computer that does backups.. it has no direct connection to the Time Capsule.
    It has no ability to back itself up.. unlike all other NAS in the market. It is therefore likely one day you will lose all your files unless you seriously work out how to backup.
    The TC is slow to spin up the hard disk and fast to spin down. iTunes and iPhoto will continually lose connection to their respective libraries.
    iPhoto in particular is easy to corrupt when you move photos over wireless into the library.. once corrupted all is corrupt. A single photo will ruin it all.. so backup is utterly essential.
    Time Machine cannot do backups of network drives. ie the TC. You will need a different backup software like CCC. You will then need another target to backup to..

  • Infopath 2013 Pulling User's Manager Emails from people/picker

    I'm having an issue with pulling others user from different department manager's email through people picker.
    People/picker >String> Button( this button auto populate the selected user's profiles plus manager account) 
    I managed to do it with Data Connection "GETCOMMONMANAGER" , but it'd only work if the current user shares the same common manager or same department.  For an example:
    Current user = Myself
    Select anyone within my department through people picker, it'll auto populate our's manager name & Emails
    IF I select anyone else out side of our department the data connection will not work.
    SO What I stuck with is that, my department is specifically filling out the form for others department.
    I've also tried using GetUserProfilebyName, by pulling the selected user's profile through people picker plus their manager account name.
    Rules:
    Set a field's value:AccountName (GetUserProfileByName(GetManager)) = Manager's AccountName Field
    Query using a data connection: GetManager
    Set's a field value Manager's Name = value(Name = "PreferredName")
    Set a field value Manager Email = value(Name = "WorkEmail")
    These rules successfully pull myself and team members manager's profile
    BUT, if i input other users from different department this came up
    A user with the account name blahblah\ssong  could not be found. ---> An error was encountered while retrieving the user profile.

    The most reliable method is to use a before-insert trigger on your table. This way the columns will be set properly no matter how rows are inserted (via your app or any other means). Given your user name column is called "CREATE_USER" and your date column is called "CREATE_DATE" for example - include these lines in a before-insert trigger:
    :NEW.CREATE_USER := NVL(V('APP_USER'), USER);
    SELECT SYSDATE INTO :NEW.CREATE_DATE FROM DUAL;The NVL(V('APP_USER'), USER) will set CREATE_USER to the current ApEx application user if the row is created from within the application, or to the current database user if the row is created outside the application.

  • How to create Exchange dynamic distribution list using multivalue extension custom attribute

    I am trying to create a dynamic distribution list using an ExtensionCustomAttribute.  I am in hybrid mode with Exchange 2013.  The syntax I have is this: 
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {(ExtensionCustomAttribute2 -eq 'NH')} 
    This works correctly on-prem.  But hosted always results in an empty list.  I can see in dirsync the attribute is in the hosted environment, but for whatever reason, the distribution group gets created but always come up null.
    If I create a group looking at the single valued attributes, such as CustomAttribute6 -eq 'Y', it works correctly on-prem and hosted.  
    If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

    I don't think I provided enough information about the problem.  Let me add some and see if it makes sense.
    I have an Exchange 2013 on-premise configured in hybrid mode with Office365.  For testing purposes, I have 2 users, Joe and Steve, one with the mailbox on-prem, and the other with the mailbox in the cloud.  Each of them has CustomAttribute6 = 'Y'
    and ExtensionCustomAttribute2 = 'NH'. Dirsync shows these users and these attributes are synced between on-prem and cloud.
    Using on-prem Exchange powershell, I run the following command:
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {((RecipientType -eq UserMailBox) -or (RecipientType -eq MailUser) -and (CustomAttribute6 -eq 'Y')} 
    This correctly finds the 2 users when I query for them as follows:
    $DDG = Get-DynamicDistributionGroup DG_NH
    Get-Recipient -RecipientPreviewFilter $DDG.RecipientFilter | FT alias
    So I then delete this DG, and recreate it this time looking at the multi-value attribute ExtensionCustomAttribute2, as follows:
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {((RecipientType -eq UserMailBox) -or (RecipientType -eq MailUser) -and (ExtensionCustomAttribute2 -eq 'NH')} 
    Replaying the query above, I can see this also works fine and finds my two users.
    Next I open a new powershell and connect to Office 365 and repeat the process there.
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {((RecipientType -eq UserMailBox) -or (RecipientType -eq MailUser) -and (CustomAttribute6 -eq 'Y')} 
    This correctly finds the 2 users when I query for them.
    And then delete the group and recreate it using the multi-value attribute:
    New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "DG_NH" -RecipientFilter {((RecipientType -eq UserMailBox) -or (RecipientType -eq MailUser) -and (ExtensionCustomAttribute2 -eq 'NH')} 
    When I run the query this time it produces no result.  Every test I try results in an empty group if I am using a multi-valued attribute in the search criteria in the cloud.  If I use single valued attribute, it works fine.
    I really need to be able to get multi-valued DDG's working in the cloud.  If anyone has done this and has any suggestions, I would appreciate seeing what you did.  And if this is the wrong forum to port this, if you can point me to a more suitable
    forum I will report there.

    On Prem development machine, I'm writng a deployment routine in c# using the client object model.  I've created some site columns of type Lookup, I've created a content type and added those lookup columns to it and I've created a list using the
    content type.  I want to set the RelationshipDeleteBehavior property on some of the lookup columns in the list.  I'm also using the 16 assemblies.

    Hi,
    Provide a checkbox on ALV to select records for locking. Provide LOCK button. When this button is clicked call BAPI : BAPI_USER_LOCK. This will lock the user from logging to sap.
    To unlock use bapi : BAPI_USER_UNLOCK.

    I have an application written in LV 6.0 on a different computer. I am upgrading the program on my computer also using LV 6.0 ( I also have LV 8.5).  When I try to open the file that I saved on original computer on my computer it tries to open it with verion 8.5, but I want to use 6.0. How can I modify the original program using the same and only version that is on original computer on my computer? Once modified I want to run on the original computer which only has version 6.0. Hope this is clear.

    Be careful, once a VI is saved in 8.5 you can't save it back to 6.0. You'd have to go through several versions of LabVIEW to do that.
    To make sure a VI is opened in 6.0, launch LV 6.0 first and then open the VI (by double-clicking on it in explorer or via file open in LV).
    If LabVIEW is not running and you double-click a VI it will start the last LV version used.

    6) Create JSP page which uses the JSTL c:forEach tag to access the list of DTO's and iterate over it and prints a HTML list out.
    You don't need Javascript for this.

    I would like to be able to submit an Infopath form with a multiple selection list box in Sharepoint as multiple entries on a Sharepoint list.
    For example, a user has to complete the following fields:
    First Name:
    Last Name:
    Favorite Color (can select more than one):
    [] Blue
    [] Red
    [] Yellow
    [] Green
    If the user picks blue AND red and submits the form, the Sharepoint list would feature TWO entries, both with their first and last names, but with different colors in the "Favorite Color" column.
    Please let me know if there is a way to do this. Any guidance would be helpful!

    I did a test with SQL database table. I set three default values for the checkbox list by adding three values field under the group field(Data->Default values), each value field is for a default value. Then publish it to my SharePoint site, everything

  • Assigned To column (or any column that uses People Picker) cleared after clicking Edit Item in a Task List

    Our SharePoint Foundation 2013 is experiencing a weird issue. It only happens in Task Lists. For example:
    Create a new Task in Task List and fill the Assigned To field with a user from the People Picker list. The People Picker works fine as all users in Active Directory are appearing.
    Save Task.
    Edit Item the task that was just created.
    The Assigned To field is now cleared for that Task.
    It used to keep the user that was in the Assigned To column.
    Are there any suggestions on what may have caused this or what I can try to fix this?
    This was after some Windows updates were installed end of August.

    According to your post, my understanding is that the “Assigned To” field is cleared when you edit a task item in the Tasks List.
    I recommend that you can enable server rendering on the list view Web Part for the Tasks List to solve this issue.
    To do this, please follow the steps as below:
    Open the Tasks List in your site, add a new task item, type the user name in the “Assign To” field and save it.
    Select the new item, click “Edit item”, then go to the Gear icon, click “Edit page”, click the drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner of the Web Part for the Tasks List, and click “Edit Web Part”.
    On the right side of the page in the Web Part properties controls, click the plus sign (+) on the “Miscellaneous” section, select the “Server Render” in the “CSS Render Mode” section, then click “Apply”, “OK” and save the changes of the page.
    Then, you can see if the “Assign To” field in the new item’s Edit Form has the corresponding values.
