How to scale linked images back to 1:1 {normal proportions}?

Hi there,
I am workind on document, containing 470 linked images. I accidentaly did some operation with frame fitting probably, so all my images got non-proportional scaling now. Amount of Undos was not long enough...
Do you have some clever recipe how to scale them back to normal aspect ratio?

Well,
thank you for your reply, but I do not uderstand your advice clearly: If the chain link is not broken, I just resize the frame containing photo and keep that bad proportions which I want to get rid of.
OK, I can just click the Content Grabber circle button and resize the image manualy to be about fine. But in case of 470 links I hoped in some one-click-magic... {"Equalize the proportions of linked images" button to be exact }
Thank you...

  • How do you link images that have no link to begin with?

    Im working with a file created by someone else.  I have seen this before but there are no links in the links window for a lot of the images that I click.  I have found this can happen when doing a copy/paste of an image from a website, photoshop, etc...  Is there a way to give these images an actual link so I dont have to go through and drop in the actual image and resize it all from scratch to make it fit with the non-linked image?

    It's not quite that bad... you can script this. For instance, this oneline script:
    app.selection[0].graphics[0].place(File.openDialog())
    operates on a selected image (such as one copy-and-pasted, though it would also work with a properly placed image) and opens a file dialog and lets you select a new image which is then placed in it, preserving the scale. Can't do anything about the crop though.
    Does that help? Do you need more automation? Or explanation how to use it?

    Hi,

    here is the code. I wonder where I go wrong.
                    Image i=Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("red.JPEG");                    i.getScaledInstance(-5,5,Image.SCALE_DEFAULT);
                    //or i.getScaledInstance(10,1,Image.SCALE_DEFAULT);
         ImageIcon ic=new ImageIcon(i);

  • How to scale an image(URGENT)

    I am having a problem in scaling an image.
    The code I've written is as follows.
    Toolkit tk=Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit();
    Image img=tk.getImage("abc.png");
    img=getScaledInstance(100,100,Image.SCALE_FAST);
    Then when I draw the image, it doesn't scale it. It draws nothing. But if i remove the line, getScaled...,
    then it is loaded properly.
    Wat can be the problem?
    Also, if any1 can tell other ways to scale an image to a predefined size, please tell me.
    Its very URGENT, please respond fast.

  • How to scale an Image?

    I found lots of threads about scaling images but none worked for me. The closest one's are these:
    image.getScaledInstance(width, height, Image.SCALE_DEFAULT);seems to scale the image but the resulting image returns "-1" for both getWidth()/getHeight().
    The other "solution" sets the correct dimension nut the resulting image is just black (= background color):
    BufferedImage bi = new BufferedImage(width, height, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
    Graphics2D biContext = bi.createGraphics();
    biContext.drawImage(image, 0, 0, width, height, null);
    result = bi;

    It looks like you need to make sure that your original image
    is fully loaded prior to rendering.
    You should use java.awt.MediaTracker for that.
    Or load your image with javax.imageio.ImageIO.read() method.

  • I accidentally removed my iPad Mini from my Apple ID's associated devices. How do I link it back?

    The account page in the App Store on the iPad says "Enabling Automatic Downloads or downloading a previous purchase will associate this device with your Apple ID for use with iTunes in the Cloud." I have done both tasks (enabling automatic downloads and downloading a previous purchase) but my iPad Mini still won't appear back on the "Manage Devices" page.
    I have also read this KB: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627 and it said this: "Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days. You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer." I have never used a different Apple ID other than my account, so I don't see why I cannot re-associate my device to my ID. I also can't see the number of days before the device can be associated to another ID, because the device doesn't appear on the "Manage Devices" page in the first place. I would also like to note that my other devices do not show some sort of countdown, either.
    Hoping for something to solve this! Thank you in advance!

    Yeah, I guess I'm left with pretty much no choice. I do hope it appears tomorrow because I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive and not seeing it there with my other devices bothers me quite a lot, as silly as it may seem. Thank you, though!
    And BTW, if I follow M1SSB's advice and restore my iPad, would it delete everything? Because when I clicked the restore button, it said I had an option to restore contacts and etc after going back to factory settings, but does that mean all photos on the iPad would be gone?

  • After phone repair how do i link Spotify back to the music i'd previoulsy downloaded to SD card

    Before my phone broke i had spotify set up so that all my offline music was saved to my SD card.  I've now received my phone back and have set Spotify up again so that it stores music to my SD card but within the App none of the music i know i previoulsy downloaded is showing as being available offline.  How do i relink the app to the music already downloaded to my sd card?  I don't want to have to download everything again, although this is an option, but then i'd have a tone of wasted space on the sd card from the music i downloaded originally.  If anyone can help and point me in the right direction it would most appreciated.  Thanks.

    So i saw a spotify app update that said it had a fix for 'Using an old sd card on lollipop...'.  So i assumed this would fix the issue.  However after clearing the cache in settings, restarting the phone and loging back in it shows that none of my music is downloaded.  So if this has been fixed what am i doing wrong?  Thanks.

  • Change 8-bit binary image back to 8-bit grayscale

    Can some one help me please in NI vision how to convert the image back to grayscale after I did my thresholding by using 'IMAQ Local threshold' from a 8-bit grayscale to a binary image but the problem now I don't know how to convert it back. I need someone help thank you.

    I'm afraid I haven't got the toolkit installed on my machine at the moment
    If I remember correctly you don't need to convert the image at all. On the last vision project I worked on we did a colour capture with a camera, converted it colour to greyscale for certain part of the anaylsis, (other parts we just did on the colour image), and then when we had found the ROI, we drew rectangles and circles etc on the colour image so the operator could see in colour! (just make sure to open a image reference to work on if you do this...
    If you really want help, I would advise making a simple VI containing the basic principles of what you want to do - work from an image constant on the BD, then post it in this thread and people will be able to see where you have got to and give you a quick pointer much faster! (fewer files = easier to work with)

  • How Can I transfer images from my Ipad 2 onto a camera card?

    I bought the Apple camera kit and can transfer images from my camera onto my IPAD 2, but how do I transfer images back onto the SD card?  Is this possible?

    More tips:
    There are several WiFi transfer apps that allow you to move photos back and forth from the iPad to a computer or other iDevice.
    Using an app like GoodReader also gives you a conduit to uploading the photos to Dropbox.
    Using a photo management app like PhotoManager Pro also facilitates moving photos around and allows you to give photos a filename and caption.  SortShots allows you to tag the photos with keywords and is a powerful organizing app.
    The SD card reader will also work with hand-scanners that save directly to an SD or Micro-SD, giving you the possibility of scanning items and directly loading to the iPad.

  • I just upgraded my iPhone4 iOs and lost ALL Phone Contacts! How can I get them back?

    HELP! I've been using my iPhone consistently for ALL phone numbers, since I have serious memory problems due to fibromyalgia. I upgraded my phone last night finally, having moved my photos out of it I had the space to download and install the upgrade.
    I got a nasty shock this morning when I tried to make a routine call and found ALL of my phone contacts missing. They don't seem to be either in the cloud or in the phone. What happened? It said it was storing them in the cloud but they're all gone! How can I get them back?
    IF this normally happens, why should I ever upgrade? Seriously! I didn't think to copy all of it out manually before upgrading, I'd upgraded once before without any problems. Addresses and other details gone too. I've got four numbers in "Favorites" but no context for them beyond location by state. I don't even know who they are - can't recognize just the numbers.

    Thanks, but I checked iCloud and it has none of them.
    If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
    I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it.

  • My iPad has a split typing keyboard near the top third of the screen.  How do I get it back at the bottom and full?

    My iPad's keyboard has jumped up to the top this of the screen and is split.  How do I get it back to it's normal position at the bottom and one full keyboard?

    Just to clarify this a little bit....
    Pull the two ends of the keyboard together - into the middle of the screen. You can also tap and hold down on the little keyboard icon in the lower right corner of the keyboard and select - Dock and Merge.
    If the keyboard is up on the middle of the screen, but not split, and you want to move it back to the bottom - tap and hold down on the little keyboard and icon and select - Dock
    If you don't want this feature - You can turn the split keyboard off in Settings>General>Keyboard>Split Keyboard>Off.
