How to secure one page not entire application?

Hi there,
I'm looking for some guidance on how to secure individual pages on my site. I've read a number of articles discussing creating a login using the Application.cfc. The thing is this approach locks down the entire site. I only want to secure a page. In my scenario, if the user hasn't logged in, and goes to a profile.cfm page, they will be asked to login. Once they login, they will then be directed to the profile.cfm page.
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Novian,
An option that come directly to mind is to check for the specific page to be locked down in onRequestStart of your Application.cfc.
This approach is relatively easy to implement but may not be the best approach (don't know how it might affect performance or something else). Basically, use a conditional in your onRequestStart method to see if the page being requested by the user is the page that needs to be secured. Something along the lines of:
<cffunction name="onRequestStart">
     <cfargument name="target_page" />
     <cfif target_page is 'super-secure-page.cfm'>
          
     </cfif>
</cffunction>
There are, of course, other options but this was a quick and easy one that came right to mind.

HOW TO SHOW ONE PAGE AT A TIME

Does anybody have a clue how to show one page at a time? I clicked Facing Pages in the Inspector and 2 columns of pages showed up. Now, I can't get it back to just one page showing up at a time. There must be a fix, but I don't' want to spend days on this. Many thanks.

Mousing shows all the available pre-formatted page available in each template to give you an idea what is there, but you only get one, sometimes 2, when you create a new document. All of the other pages can be accessed via the Insert menu. Insert > Sections in word processing & Insert > Pages in page layout.
If they all loaded when you opened a template, you'd have to go through & delete the ones you don't want & duplicate the ones you want more than one of.
FYI: the name of the program is iWork, no 's' & no hyphen

For music that you ripped from CDs or bought from a source other than iTunes then, assuming that you made/maintained one, you can copy them from your backup - and backups are relatively easy to maintain, so there is no reason not to have one (especially as content is occasionally removed from iTunes so isn't always available for re-download). If you've got content in other apps that you want to copy back to your computer then you might be able to do via the file sharing section at the bottom of the iPad's apps tab in iTunes, or they might have wifi transfer capability.

It will depend on what program you're using, but you should see something similar to the image below allowing you to select the current page you're on, or pages 1-3 for example.

How to combine two pages (not files) into one long vertical page

Is there a way in Acrobat 9 Pro to combine (concatenate) say two 8.5"x11" pages and create a single 8.5"x22" page?
Right now I'm having to do this by importing one page into Photoshop, extending the canvas, and pasting in the second page into the extended canvas space. Very kludgy. While this works, saving the resulting PDF (even after removing the option to preserve editability in Photoshop) still results in a file which is a whopping 2.5MB in size as compared with around 25KB for the original PDF file which was spanning 2 pages.
Ultimately what I'm trying to do is to be able to view a long document which was created in MS Word 2007 and then saved as a PDF, in a web browser by scrolling, without having page breaks. Trying to increase the page dimensions is MS Word 2007 prior to creating the PDF worked to a point but Word 2007's maximum page length is 22 inches and as luck would have it, the document requires about 23 inches in length.
I've tried using the custom page setting under the crop tool in Acrobat 9 but I can't seem to get the modified page dimensions to be accepted. Acrobat 9 seems to accept the input and then nothing changes with the page's dimensions.

A simple way to accomplish the job, though not recommended is to print the 2 page file to a new PDF with multi-up (assuming you select vertical rather than horizontal locations) and adjust the paper in the Adobe PDF printer to be 8.5X22. At least you might give it a shot. Some variation, along with rotation possibly, might work.

<li> If you meant an application page, then they are anot stored as html file anywhere as the page that you see is generated at the run time only, however you can can save that run time page , but its of not much use.
<li> If your intention is to save/backup an apex page, go to the page and export it . This generates a SQL file which you can import into any other apex application and recreate that apex page.
<li> You can also export the entire application as a single file too.

How to share Global Page across multiple applications

I have APEX 4.2 via pl/sql gateway, Oracle 11gr2 DB and using theme 24.
I have about 40 applications in 1 workspace and I need to create a global page that is going to be the same for each app. One way of doing this is I can manually do the change 40 times but I'm looking for an easier way.
If you look at the packaged app "Dynamic Sample" you would notice a left sidebar which acts like a menu. Basically I want to do the same but just image each item on the sidebar belongs to a separate application.
I have app1 which has the login and left sidebar navigation. Each option on the sidebar list would call a page on app2 to app40 but I need to retain the sidebar when displaying the page from a different app.
If I tried to imp a global page I get an error that the application ID is different.
If I tried to copy the global page to another app it changes the type to a navigation form which prevents the list from coming up for every page on the app.

How to register ADF pages in Oracle Applications 11.5.10 or 12

I have created an ADF application with JSF pages. Now I want to register this application into Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 or Release 12.

What I mean is once we deploy the application in R12 say OC4J with J2EE compliance, whatever, how to register this new application with the Oracle Applications like OA framework does?
This should be similar to hoiw u register any other custom jsp, although I haven't tried it in R12 after you have deployed your ADF page.To be clear, How can we use the Oracle Applications Menu/Function security to launch the ADF application?
You would not be able to use seeded Oracle apps features in your ADF application like global links, flexfields etc, because Apps still does not provide AOL/J layer for ADF applications.This is only for OAF/JTT/JTf applications.But your custom application can be launched like other pages from apps function. I am still 100% sure....(But should be possible as per the techstack features) I have to try this... once I get time :)!--Mukul

I'd like to print just one message, not the whole thread, but haven't been able to figure out how to do this.

How to create multiple pages using flex application.

Hi all,
i am doing flex application which contains 5 different
pages,
to do this i have used viewstack component to navigate
between the pages.
this is working fine if all my pages are of same size. each
page as different background image.
but i have to create pages with different sizes.
my first and second page are small and remaining pages are
big.
when i navigate to 3rd or 4th page, it is showing scrollbar
inside swf.
but i want scrollbar for browser window not inside my swf
anyone please guide me how to create pages in flex
application.
i have one more doubt, if my page contains some html links ,
how to open those links,
is it posible to open the link in new window.
please help me , i have no idea how to create web
applications using flex

I am getting vertical scrollbar for page3 and page4,
please tell me how to avoid this, Is their any other method
to do this.

in this application one more problem is also their,
background image loads very slow, before it loads all the flex
components will load. So when you open this please wait till
background image loaded, to move to next and back pages.
