  • How to see the SQL running in back ground when we genarate a report.

    Hi All,
    I am new to Oracle Reports Builder toll and I would like to see the SQL query/script running in back ground when we run any perticular report using Reports Builder 10g.
    Please help me with this query, Thank You Very much for your help in Adv.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    well the only option you can try is enabling trace from Builder (Program --> Tracing --> ALL) and then from the OS keep checking the trace file being created when the report is running. Something like the following will be recorded.
    example
    10:14:18 APP .. ( Repeating Frame R_G_EMPNO
    10:14:18 APP ... ( Group G_EMPNO Local Break: 0 Global Break: 0
    10:14:18 APP .... ( Query Q_1
    10:14:18 SQL EXECUTE QUERY : select * from emp where deptno=:x
    Bind Variable Value
    X 10
    10:14:18 APP .... ) Query Q_1
    10:14:18 APP ... ) Group G_EMPNO
    10:14:18 APP ... ( Text Field F_DEPTNO
    Hope this helps

    How to get the extension Info from firefox? Do we have any firefox API to communicate with the browser? I couldnt see the HTML of the widget displayed in the toolbar how to access the widget using JS or any way

    Hi,
    Thanks for the suggestion. I've been playing around with some of the classes of the java.net package and java.io
    Using the URL class i can get the content of the data from a STATIC page and output that response to file so that is does not display to the client broswer.
    But this only works if the URL i give points to a static html page.
    So the problem i'm getting is if i'm righting in arguments in the URL, this means that server needs to process the arguments i give and its sends back a dynamic result. Because its dynamic the URL class can not handle this and throws me an exception everytime :(
    Have u ever tried to do some things like this?

  • How to identify the SQLs which are using the tables and new columns

    Hi
    I m using oracle 10G Database in windows. Developers have added some columns in some of the database tables and were asking to check whether there is some impact on performance or not. I have not done this performance tuning before. Kindly help me how to proceed further.
    How to obtain the sqls which are touching the tables and the new columns? It would be really great if you can help me with this.
    Thanks

    You can try to use DBA_DEPENDENCIES to get PL/SQL objects using tables: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/statviews_1041.htm#i1576452.
    However if SQL code is not stored in database in a trigger, a procedure, a function, a package or a view, it is impossible to retrieve all SQL code referencing some table from database dictionary: for this you would have to analyze application source code.

  • Please let me know how to see the details related to the Key figure used

    Hi,
    Basic key figure BHSL-I belonging to the table GLPCT is used in the one of the reports created using the Report Painter.
    Please let me know how to see the details of the BHSL-I key figure.
    Details I am looking for is, how the field BHSL-I is getting populated I mean from which field/fields combinations and what is the formulae involved in the calculation of the key figure.
    Please let me know if any documentation exists about the key figures.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Madhuri.

    What model year is it? If older than a 2011 model, and even some early 2011 models, you will need the original install discs that came with it.
    If older than a 2011 model then you use the Online Internet Recovery system to erase the drive, format it Mac Extended and then reinstall OS X.
    To access that online recovery system at startup hold down the Command + Option/Alt + r key and keep them held down until you see a globe on the screen.

  • Any way to see the sql code used to update DataTableModel?

    Hi,
    I'm getting an sql syntax error when I do an update on a table model.
    Is there a way to see the SQL command that Creator is using to update the database?
    Thanks!
    Rick

    This is an easy one. In your code before you do the .execute put in the following line: String tempString = tableRowSet.getCommand(). Set a break point on the line after. Start the program in debug mode. When the program hits the break point look at the value of tempString. check your sql statment.

  • How to view the sql query?

    hi,
      how to view the sql query formed from the xml structure in the receiver jdbc?

    You can view SAP Note at
    http://service.sap.com/notes
    But you require SMP login ID for this which you should get from your company. The content of the notes are as follows:
    Reason and Prerequisites
    You are looking for additional parameter settings. There are two possible reasons why a feature is available via the "additional parameters" table in the "advanced mode" section of the configuration, but not as documented parameter in the configuration UI itself:
    Category 1: The parameter has been introduced for a patch or a SP upgrade where no UI upgrade and/or documentation upgrade was possible. In this case, the parameter will be moved to the UI and the documentation as soon as possible. The parameter in the "additional parameters" table will be deprecated after this move, but still be working. The parameter belongs to the supported adapter functionality and can be used in all, also productive, scenarios.
    Category 2. The parameter has been introduced for testing purposes, proof-of-concept scenarios, as workaround or as pre-released functionality. In this case, the parameter may or may not be moved to the UI and documentation, and the functionality may be changed, replaced or removed. For this parameter category there is no guaranteed support and usage in productive scenarios is not supported.
    When you want to use a parameter documented here, please be aware to which category it belongs!
    Solution
    The following list shows all available parameters of category 1 or 2. Please note:
    Parameter names are always case-sensitive! Parameter values may be case-sensitive, this is documented for each parameter.
    Parameter names and values as documented below must be used always without quotaton marks ("), if not explicitly stated otherwise.
    The default value of a parameter is always chosen that it does not change the standard functionality
    JDBC Receiver Adapter Parameters
    1. Parameter name: "logSQLStatement"
                  Parameter type: boolean
                  Parameter value: true for any string value, false only for empty string
                  Parameter value default: false (empty String)
                  Available with: SP9
                  Category: 2
                  Description:
                  When implementing a scenario with the JDBC receiver adapter, it may be helpful to see which SQL statement is generated by the JDBC adapter from the XI message content for error analysis. Before SP9, this can only be found in the trace of the JDBC adapter if trace level DEBUG is activated. With SP9, the generated SQL statement will be shown in the details page (audit protocol) of the message monitor for each message directly.
                  This should be used only during the test phase and not in productive scenarios.

  • How to see the table in se11 that has been created in oracle 10g directly

    hi,
    how to see the table in se11 that has been created at SQL> prompt in oracle 10g directly ?
    is there any procedure to attache directly created table  into sap ?

    I think you have to create it in SE11 first. Although you can probably use native SQL to access it from an ABAP program.

  • How to see all sql statements on sql commands under history link

    Hi All,
    How to see the all the sql history on sql commands tab.
    I want see all sql statements.
    Where to set if we need to store more sql statments in history.
    We are using Apex3.2 and 10g database(EE).
    Thanks,
    Nr

    I just checked the source code of the SQL commands history region and that report fetches a maximum of 1000 records. I don't know if you change the setting somewhere in the builder, but seeing the code it looks as though 1000 is hard-coded in the report definition(apex 4.0).
    If you need to see all the command history,you can query the original table: APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_SW_SQL_CMDS
    Note that is an internal table used by apex and hence you might not find any documentation about it(google got me one valid hit: Identifying Inactive Workspaces which seem to confirm the table's use).
    Anyway, here's what you need to do, ask your dba to grant your workspace user select access on this table
    Connect as dba user and run
    GRANT SELECT ON APEX_040000.wwv_flow_sw_sql_cmds to '<WORKSPACE SCHEMA>'Now you can run the following command from your workspace to see the entire command history using
    select * from APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_SW_SQL_CMDS where parsed_schema = '<WORKSPACE SCHEMA>';You might want to revoke the grant once you have seen the data/taken out an export due to security issues.

  • How to run the job using DBMS_SCHEDULER

    How to run the job using DBMS_SCHEDULER
    pleas give some sample Iam very new to DBMS_SCHEDULER

    Hi
    DBMS_SCHEDULER
    In Oracle 10g the DBMS_JOB package is replaced by the DBMS_SCHEDULER package. The DBMS_JOB package is now depricated and in Oracle 10g it's only provided for backward compatibility. From Oracle 10g the DBMS_JOB package should not be used any more, because is could not exist in a future version of Oracle.
    With DBMS_SCHEDULER Oracle procedures and functions can be executed. Also binary and shell-scripts can be scheduled.
    Rights
    If you have DBA rights you can do all the scheduling. For administering job scheduling you need the privileges belonging to the SCHEDULER_ADMIN role. To create and run jobs in your own schedule you need the 'CREATE JOB' privilege.
    With DBMS_JOB you needed to set an initialization parameter to start a job coordinator background process. With Oracle 10g DBMS_SCHEDULER this is not needed any more.
    If you want to user resource plans and/or consumer groups you need to set a system parameter:
    ALTER SYSTEM SET RESOURCE_LIMIT = TRUE;
    Baisc Parts: Job
    A job instructs the scheduler to run a specific program at a specific time on a specific date.
    Programs
    A program contains the code (or reference to the code ) that needs to be run to accomplish a task. It also contains parameters that should be passed to the program at runtime. And it?s an independent object that can referenced by many jobs
    Schedules
    A schedule contains a start date, an optional end date, and repeat interval with these elements; an execution schedule can be calculated.
    Windows
    A window identifies a recurring block of time during which a specific resource plan should be enabled to govern resource allocation for the database.
    Job groups
    A job group is a logical method of classifying jobs with similar characteristics.
    Window groups
    A window groups is a logical method of grouping windows. They simplify the management of windows by allowing the members of the group to be manipulated as one object. Unlike job groups, window groups don?t set default characteristics for windows that belong to the group.
    Using Job Scheduler
    SQL> drop table emp;
    SQL> Create table emp (eno int, esal int);
    SQL > begin
    dbms_scheduler.create_job (
    job_name => 'test_abc',
    job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
    job_action => 'update emp set esal=esal*10 ;',
    start_date => SYSDATE,
    repeat_interval => 'FREQ=DAILY; INTERVAL=10',
    comments => 'Iam tesing scheduler');
    end;
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    Verification
    To verify that job was created, the DBA | ALL | USER_SCHEDULER_JOBS view can be queried.
    SQL> select job_name,enabled,run_count from user_scheduler_jobs;
    JOB_NAME ENABL RUN_COUNT
    TEST_abc FALSE 0
    Note :
    As you can see from the results, the job was indeed created, but is not enabled because the ENABLE attribute was not explicitly set in the CREATE_JOB procedure.
    Run your job
    SQL> begin
    2 dbms_scheduler.run_job('TEST_abc',TRUE);
    3* end;
    SQL> /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> select job_name,enabled,run_count from user_scheduler_jobs;
    JOB_NAME ENABL RUN_COUNT
    TEST_ABC FALSE 0
    Copying Jobs
    SQL> begin
    2 dbms_scheduler.copy_job('TEST_ABC','NEW_TEST_ABC');
    3 END;
    4 /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed. Hope it will help you upto some level..!!

  • How to access the mysql using ordinary command line in Azure Website?

    Hi
    I deploying Django project on Azure. I created project and MySQL db according this method: https://pytools.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=PollsDjangoSql . I can create tables using django command "syncdb" in Visual Studio. I see
    db structure in SQL Explorer. All works. But now I need to get access directly to mysql.  For example with a view to set encoding of some column, or set permissions, change user password, etc.
    I found about many different tools and methods in Microsoft portal. But the purpose of these tools, how to install it and how to use it is a very entangled (After several attempts to find out what's what two weeks later I found on my computer
    three dozen programs with unknown purpose. I doubt that I need to install so many tools to just add the user in mysql).
    How to access the mysql using ordinary command line (or the same simple tool) in my case?

    Hi pvgdrk,
    To get access directly to a mysql database, you can use the commandline tool(open a cmd window-->type mysql the commadline ) or the
    GUI MySQL workbench.
    Since this is a question about MySQL, I would suggest you post your question in a dedicated MySQL forum. You will get more prompt response.
