How to send a xml to a web service

Hi All
I've generated a xml report that I need to send to a web site that I could imagine have a web service to receive the report.
The question is: how should I send my xml file ??
I've tried to find docs about it but there are a lot of complex examples and I need to do just this simple job...
Any idea, example or help will be appreciated...
Thanks in advance

You can do anything as simple as a socket all the way up to using a web services protocol like SOAP.

  • How to send authentication information to SOAP Web Service using MATE framework

    Hi,
    Can anyone please tell me how to pass authentication info (such as user name & password) while calling a webservice using MATE's webserviceinvoker? the SOAP web service expects authentication info in the header.
    Thanks in advance..

    HI Swayam,
    First of all you should tell us what blogs you have seen to avoid you to repeat information that you already know.
    we want to avoid  setting up SLD configuration for sender system because  sender system is just consuming web service .
    This is not necessary,
    Please let me know  the ways we can configure . I did understand we can publish and register the WSDL from Service interface ,but was not clear on over all  scenario .
    Do you have your ECC webservice available via SOAManager?, you only to access it via soap receiver in SAP PI.
    To publish, you need to publish only the sender SOAP, when you register there the sender soap your partner could access there to get the WSDL (Publish services from PI 7.1 to the Service Registry). Also you can generate directly the wsdl (Display WSDL - Integration Directory - SAP Library), what do you want?

    I am developing a web service application which needs to accept a CAD model as input. Would any one tell me how to send a file from a client application to service provider.
    thanks in advance

    You can use mime encoding inside your SOAP request, something like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <soap:Body>
    <data>
      <file>

    </content>
      </file>
    </data>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>This can even be accomplished from within Pl/Sql. Otherwise you can use the WS-Attachment feature which is (I think) not yet supported by Oracle.

  • How to send concurrent xml request to Soap service.

    Hi
    I am working in a scenario. where i need to send more than 10 concurrent xml request to soap service hosted in IIS.
    and that service directly pools to biztalk recieve location. Presently i am sending a single request through soap ui.
    Is there any tool available to send more than 10 xml request to service. If not then how we send through C#.code

    Hi Anagh,
    Microsoft BizTalk LoadGen 2007 Tool would be the perfect fit for your requirement where you need to send "Concurrent" request to SOAP.
    Using LoadGen you can configure it use to number of concurrent threads to send messages. In its config file, it has a section called
    <NumThreadsPerSection> which can be used to set the number of concurrent threads that LoadGen will use to send messages.
    Read one of my old blogposts where I have talked about using LoadGen for simulating message load for SOAP services.

  • How do I send XML to a web service?

    I am brand new to Flex. I am trying to write a program that
    uses web services to send and receive data. I have gotten it so
    that it can receive XML from the web service. However, I also need
    to send it, and I am stuck.
    I have tried the following code:
    <mx:WebService id="MyService"
    wsdl="
    http://localhost/FlexTest/service1.asmx?WSDL"
    useProxy="false"
    result="resultHandler(event)">
    <!-- Input: XML Document...Output: String -->
    <mx:operation
    name="HelloPersonAcceptsXmlDocumentReturnsString">
    <mx:request>
    <personXmlDoc>xmlPerson</personXmlDoc>
    </mx:request>
    </mx:operation>
    <!-- Input: XML Node...Output: String -->
    <mx:operation
    name="HelloPersonAcceptsXmlNodeReturnsString">
    <mx:request>
    <personXmlNode>
    xmlPerson.Person
    </personXmlNode>
    </mx:request>
    </mx:operation>
    <!-- Input: String (XML Format)...Output: String -->
    <mx:operation
    name="HelloPersonAcceptsXmlStringReturnsString">
    <mx:request format="xml">
    <personXmlString><p1:Person xmlns:p1="
    http://impact-tech.com/schemas/FlexTest"><p1:ID>f1bd45fc-544b-489d-83cf-349d1f9740ec</p1:I D><p1:FirstName>Joe</p1:FirstName><p1:MiddleName>C.</p1:MiddleName><p1:LastName>Blow</p1:L astName><p1:BirthDate>2006-09-11T14:03:04.4755443-04:00</p1:BirthDate><p1:IsMarried>false< /p1:IsMarried><p1:NumChildren>0</p1:NumChildren><p1:NetWorth>100000</p1:NetWorth></p1:Pers on></personXmlString>
    <!--<personXmlString>{xmlPerson.toXmlString()}</personXmlString>-->
    <!--<personXmlString>{txInput.text}</personXmlString>-->
    </mx:request>
    </mx:operation>
    </mx:WebService>
    In the first operation,
    "HelloPersonAcceptsXmlDocumentReturnsString", I try to send an XML
    object. In the second operation,
    "HelloPersonAcceptsXmlNodeReturnsString", I try to send the root
    node, xmlPerson.Person. In both cases, what actually gets sent is
    literally the text that I put in the <request>node, not the
    object that text is referencing. So for the first, "xmlPerson" gets
    sent to the target, not the XML doc that it refers to.
    In the third operation, I tried three different things, and
    two are commented out. I tried to reference the XML object using
    the toXmlString() method, but again, it literally sent the text
    "xmlPerson.toXmlString()". I tried the curly-brace binding, but
    then nothing gets sent to the web service. I also tried building
    the actual XML document node by node, with values, but I get an
    error from the web service saying it can't be parsed because there
    is an illegal character at Line 1, Position1. The only thing which
    has worked has been to add an Input Text box, copy-and-paste the
    exact same XML structure as I tried to manually build, and then use
    binding to the text property of the InputText control. Then it
    works fine. But I can't actually do that, it's just for testing.
    So my question is how to make a <request> node that is
    part of the web service operation that references an object and
    sends the value of that object to the web service, not literally
    whatever text is typed in that node. I looked at the Web Services
    and Data Binding sections of the help, and didn't see any examples
    covering this. Everything was far more simplistic with binding to
    controls. Can anyone help a newbie, please?

    I don't understand how this isn't a Flex Builder question,
    since it has to do with how Flex Builder interacts with web
    services and how objects are used in binding in MXML.
    But at any rate, I got this code to work, for future
    reference of anyone else looking in this forum:
    Declaring a custom class in MXML was key to allow proper
    binding:
    <CustomClasses:Person id="testPerson" xmlns:local="*"/>
    <mx:WebService id="MyService"
    wsdl="
    http://66.129.123.211/FlexTest/service1.asmx?WSDL"
    useProxy="false"
    result="resultHandler(event)">
    <!-- Input: XML Document...Output: String -->
    <mx:operation
    name="HelloPersonAcceptsXmlDocumentReturnsString">
    <mx:request>
    <personXmlDoc>{testPerson.GetXmlDoc()}</personXmlDoc>
    </mx:request>
    </mx:operation>
    </mx:WebService>

  • Best Practices Question: How to send error message to SSHR web page.

    Best Practices Question: How to send error message to SSHR web page from custom PL\SQL procedure called by SSHR workflow.
    For the Manager Self-Service application we’ve copied various workflows which were modified to meet business needs. Part of this exercise was creating custom PL\SQL Package Procedures that would gather details on the WF using them on custom notification sent by the WF.
    What I’m looking for is if/when the PL\SQL procedure errors, how does one send an failure message back and display it on the SS Page?
    Writing information into a log or table at the database level works for trouble-shooting, but we’re looking for something that will provide the end-user with an intelligent message that the workflow has failed.
    Thanks ahead of time for your responses.
    Rich

    We have implemented the same kind of requirement long back.
    We have defined our PL/SQL procedures with two OUT parameters
    1) Result Type (S:Success, E:Error)
    2) Result Message
    In the PL/SQL procedure we always use below construct when we want to raise any message
    hr_utility.set_message(APPL_NO, 'FND_MESSAGE_NAME');
    hr_utility.raise_error;
    In Exception block we write below( in successful case we just set the p_result_flag := 'S';)
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN APP_EXCEPTION.APPLICATION_EXCEPTION THEN
    p_result_flag := 'E';
    p_result_message := hr_utility.get_message;
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    p_result_flag := 'E';
    p_result_message := hr_utility.get_message;
    fnd_message.set_name('PER','FFU10_GENERAL_ORACLE_ERROR');
    fnd_message.set_token('2',substr(sqlerrm,1,200));
    fnd_msg_pub.add;
    p_result_message := fnd_msg_pub.get_detail;
    After executing the PL/SQL in java
    We have written some thing similar to
    orclStmt.execute();
    OAExceptionUtils.checkErrors (txn);
    String resultFlag = orclStmt.getString(provide the resultflag bind no);
    if ("E".equalsIgnoreCase(resultFlag)){
    String resultMessage = orclStmt.getString(provide the resultMessage bind no);
    orclStmt.close();
    throw new OAException(resultMessage, OAException.ERROR);
    It safely shows the message to the user with all the data in the page.
    We have been using this construct for a long time for all our projects. They are all working as expected.
    Regards,
    Peddi.

  • How to create a proxy to retrieve the xml file from web services

    Hi Every one,
    We have a requirment where we receive a xml file from Kenexa, a third party HR tool using a middleware tool. from SAP side We have to create a proxy to retrieve the xml  file from web services by initiating call through middleware tool i used earlier.
    these are the steps i intend to follow to accomlish the requirement.
    1) middleware tool has to initiate the call to kenexa web services to  receive the xml file when it is available.
    2) On SAP we need to create a ABAP Proxy service provider to middleware where this file can be received.
    Can any one guide me how i can create a proxy to retrieve the xml  file from web services by initiating call through other middlewre (its not PI).
    Any help would be really great, i am not a ABAP developer, so please help me with this. Thanks.

    Thank for reply.
    The computers are in different locations, but yes it's possible, the users in this enviroment are all local administrator of the machines, and we can distribute the script centrally from the DC automatically

  • How can I use XMLBeans in a Web Services client?

    How can I use XMLBeans in a standalone Java client with a Web Service?
    I posted the message below earlier in the year, but have not yet been successful
    in my
    attempts.
    regards
    Eddie
    Hi,
    I'm trying to using XMLBeans to send a document to a web service from a standalone
    Java client. I'm using the PurchaseOrder (easypo) example document, and the service
    expects a parameter of type PurchaseOrderDocument. The client proxy class generated
    by WebLogic Workshop, however, expects to send a parameter of type PurchaseOrder.
    In the client, I can instantiate a PurchaseOrderDocument, and then obtain a PurchaseOrder
    (e.g. pod.getPurchaseOrder() ), but the returned class is not compatible with
    the PurchaseOrder type that the client proxy expects.
    In a previous attempt (not using Workshop), the client would not compile because
    it expected to send a non-abstract class with a public default constructor (presumably
    a JAX-RPC requirement), and XMLBeans had generated an interface.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    thanks & regards
    Eddie

    I have been experiencing similar problems with the HTML Editor and have managed to find an answer that should start to answer some of my questions. The Apex HTML Editor Standard is actually an HTML editor called FCKeditor. The FCKeditor has a Javascript API that can be found at http://docs.fckeditor.net/FCKeditor_2.x/Developers_Guide/JavaScript_API. Unfortuately this doesn't seem to give the whole answer and I found more at http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:49607.
    I needed to get the text entered within my html editor standard (e.g. P1_MYTEXT) and use it within my javascript function. I did this by using the following script
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function showtext(){
    var oEditor = FCKeditorAPI.GetInstance('P1_MYTEXT');
    var editortext = escape(oEditor.GetXHTML(oEditor.FormatOutput));
    alert(editortext);
    </script>
    Hope this helps.

  • How to keep alive a session in Web Services?

    I have to do my project, that will be including some following features:
    1. Login to Application through Web Services method. For example:
    http://mydomain.com/web-services/Login?WSDL
    2. After logging in, use mySms method to send message to Cellphone through Web Services! For example:
    http://mydomain.com/web-services/mySms?WSDL
    My questions are:
    1. How can I keep alive the session after logging in the application in Web Services? In Web, I can use "Session".
    2. If someone has not logged in the Application, he/she could not use mySms method for sending Sms. How can I do that?
    3. I know, when I invoke a Web Services, one JavaBean has been called, and this bean is persistence with his own states. It means, if I set value to parameters of this bean, these values are persistence for invoked methods by other persons.
    For example:
    mySms bean has a private field "jid" inited with NULL value.
    Person A invoked mySms.
    Then, A set jid of mySms to value "A".
    Person B invoked mySms. B got jid value. He receive the result value is "A".
    The question is, how can I set mySms bean so that mySms bean is not persistence?
    Thanks many!

    Hi,
    I can right away answer your FIRST Question.
    Since WebServices are PURELY Based on SOAP which is in tern based on HTTP, they rely on a Stateless protocol.
    I am sure you know that the HTTP is the STATELESS Protocol and so you can not maintain Session and so EACH Http REQUEST is considered as a SEPERATE REQUEST.
    Now, still you want to maintain the Session in WebServices,
    The simple answer is PASSING PARAMETERS.
    Just Maintain your Session on Client (If you are using JSPs or Servlets to CAll WEBSERVICES then maintain Session through your HTTPSession) and each time you Invoke WebService PASS ON REQUIRED Parameters.
    This Approach is Exactly like your URL REWriting OR your Parameters Passing through QUERY STRINGS.
    I hope you got what I am saying!
    Take care,
    Himanshu/

    hi all
    i'm writing a server-side web service

    however, my client who is using this web service is having difficulty with the xml string i return - instead of angle brackets it is retruned as &alt &agt
    the client is now able to get rid of the &alt signs but now he cannot traverse through the xml to get the elemnts
    i'm using this code to retrun the xml
    how do others retrun xml within their web sevices?
    try
    RecordsetToXML rsXML = new RecordsetToXML(rs, "ROOT", "UCWSTATS");
    Document jDOMDoc = rsXML.build();
    rs = null;

    Does result end up with a String containing the offending encoded characters, or does it occur when you transfer the xml over the pipe?

  • How to get up and run a Web Services/RESTful functionality?

    Hello there,
    The DBAs just completed the upgrade for the APEX 4.2 in our organization. I was asked to work with APEX and build some application. This morning I was asked by my boss to take a look at getting the Web Services/RESTful API Functionality up and running. I am new to this environment. When I check the RESTful Services I found out the are no RESTful Services. What do I do to get this running? as a Developer, I do not have access to any schema or web services. How do I go about making this work? can any one point me to some blog or site that will help me make this work?

    Hello,
    You can consume Web-Services from APEX, but you can't produce. So first ask your boss which web-service you want to implement.
    There are 2 types of web services in general, SOAP based and RESTful. APEX provides simplified API's to invoke both types web-service.
    Identify web-service you want to TEST
    Create ACL for APEX_XXXX schema to access web-service
    Create ACL for Proxy Server as-well, if required
    If web-service is SSL-enabled then configure wallet. See 17.7 Implementing Web Services
    Use APEX API's to invoke Web-Services. See APEX_WEB_SERVICE
    You can process XML response from Web-Service using Using XQuery with Oracle XML&amp;nbsp;DB
    If Web-Service returns JSON data either you can use PL/JSON | Free software downloads at SourceForge.net to process response, or you can process response at client side using jQuery
