How to set a 3 default values for a dependent key flexfield

hi,
I have an inquiry in oracle applications 11i - Oracle General Ledger module, Accounting Key flexfield structure.
we have an independent key segment PROJECT and a dependent key segment SUB-PROJECT.
Can we define 3 dependent value for the SUB-PROJECT to be the default for any new entered value in the PROJECT segment??
e.g creating 3 default SUB-PROJECT values: X, Y, and Z. Any new value entered to the PROJECT key segment will have X, Y and Z by default as it's SUB-PROJECTS.
If the above scenario is possible, please guide me to the best solution...

I can find that the value set of any dependent value set has only one room for a default value.
What are the implications of creating a new Independent value set and assign it to the SubProject segment, on historical data and reports?

How to set the parameter ID value for a range

I am trying to call transaction KSB1 (Display actual line items for cost center) by supplying all the default values for the selection options/parameters and skipping the selection screen from the calling program. However, for the cost center range, both HIGH and LOW field have the same PID (i.e. KOS). Same thing for the cost element range. When I set the value for PID "KOS", only the low value got populated.
I tried to pass a BDC table to the
CALL TRANSACTION 'KSB1' USING bdc_tab
, but the PID used before takes higher priority so the bdc_tab values got overwritten by the PID values for those fields.
Does anybody know how to find or set the PID for a selection range? I need PID for Cost center range, cost element range and the period (PID="VPE").

by using SUBMIT command u have to <b>RKAEP000</b> this program along with the selection screen.

I have a item using select list and I like to set this item default value as
today's date , such as "select to_char(sysdate,'YYYY-MM-DD') from dual"
HTMLDB failed recongnize the default value, or throw error Error ERR-9132 Error in PLSQL expression for item default code, ...". I have tried each of 3 avaialable Default Value Types
Per http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=443287, it is used to be doable, but the default value type (sql) is no longer avaialble in HTMLDB 2.0
I would appreaciate it very much if anyone has successfully done this before, either set to today or current month

Ching - Did you try a PL/SQL Expression using to_char(sysdate,'YYYY-MM-DD')?
There have been no changes to the item default types available in HTML DB. The thread you referenced is for Oracle Portal, a separate and unrelated product.

Default values for confirmation control key

Dear forum
I am using a confirmation control key 0004 Shipping notification (standard SAP) in the Purchase order line item (created with ME21n).
When I enter the confirmation data (with transaction ME22n) in the purchase order line item (confirmations tab), I have to type in delivery date, quantity and so on manually, which is standard.
But, what if I want to copy the original delivery date and quantity from the line item in the order, and use this as default value for the line item confirmation data...is it possible somehow?
The reason why I want to do this is for the user not having to go in and update this date manually all the time, but only when the confirmed dates/quantities differ from the desired delivery date and quantities in the purchase order line item. We are not on EDI or using Inbound deliverys for Purchase orders.

The Confirmation is nothing but the acknowledgement.So, its usually entered manuallly by the authorised User allowing follow on documents for Purchase Order.
You can chesk once the customisation of Confiramtion control keys for automatic update indicator.
Yes, you can use User Exit and develop with the help of ABAPERS.

append s_yywrpc.

How can i implement the default value for this variable?

In one of our Stored procs,we have a variable RECS_TO_DELETE, which determines the number of records to delete from various DELETEs that happen within this proc.
The value for RECS_TO_DELETE variable should be obtained from a configuration table sys_config

But if something goes wrong with sys_config table or the above SELECT INTO, our client wants to makes sure that RECS_TO_DELETE should have a default value of 1000.
In the code, how will i implement having this default value of 1000 for RECS_TO_DELETE variable in case the above SELECT INTO fails for some reason.

How to read the default value for a Registry Key

I am trying to use webutil 1.0.2 Client_win_api_environment.read_registry to read the client registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xls, but the function is raising no_data_found. I can read the registry key in Regedit. I am logged on as myself as a non-admin NT user.
P.S: The Client_win_api_environment.read_registry can actually read HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\FORMS90_PATH because FORMS90_PATH is a registry ENTRY, whereas .xls in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xls is a KEY, but I still need the DEFAULT value of the key and it does NOT seem to work with client_win_api_environment.read_registry

Hi Manohar,
You have to give Distribution Key "1" in the Plannner Profile as well as if you take a column for Distribution Key seperately in your Planning Layout for Cost Element Planning, in the Excel file, you can give Distribution Key as "1" in the respective column. When you upload the data through Excel, the system will take the DKey as "1" only.

How to set physical min/max values for a scale in xy graph?

Hello,
I have troubles with the way LabView handles physical units in xy graphs. In particular, I use a time scale for the x axis.
The values are timestamps and have the unit [s]. Now I want to read write the min max values for this scale via
property nodes. It seems that the properties for min max do not support the use of the unit I use for the data for
that same axis. This is very inconvenient and I am not even sure which kind of data to use at all for this properties.
Is it simply converting to/from [s] using the unit converter?
(I am using LabView 7.1 for the programm in question).

What are the units you are using? can you make it a littlebit clear.
You can change the units also using Property node.
Just check the attachment once. If that is what you are looking for, then the problem is solved.

How to set Firefox as default browser for Mail

When I click on links in Mail, they open in Explorer. So, I trashed Explorer, and now when I click on links I get "Mail was unable to open the URL. No associated application could be found."
G5 Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Launch Safari and open its preferences. You set the default browser there.
Not very logical is it? I think a Microsoft plant came up with that one.
