How to set a string input to accept only 1 and 0 (binary data)

Hi
I want to write a program that is supposed to take only binary data from the user. So I put a string control onto the front panel, wanting the user to be able to only type 1 or 0 in it. Is there a way to do that?

True, it allows any non-ASCII through. Another solution would be to use some logical combination of VKey and Char, but it could get complicated. One of the simpler ways is the use of scancode and shift, as in the attached modification. Now ENTER, etc. is also discarded.
I also agree that none of this seems appropriate to enter 4000 "0/1" characters on a fromt panel.

How to set the table input in Query template?

Hi all.
I need to call a Bapi_objcl_change, with import parameter and a table as an input. I have done this, in BLS. I have set the table input in the
form of xml. In BLS, I get the output(the value gets change in SAP R3, what i have given in BLS). But if i set the same xml structure in
query template, I didn't get the output. Table input parameter does not take that xml source. How to set the table input in Query template?

You probably need to XML encode the data so that it will pass properly and then xmldecode() it to set the BAPI input value.

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

Yosemite 10.10.1 doesn't seem to support MP780. Also, CANON doesn't have a driver for Yosemite 10.10.1 for its MP 780 series.

I believe you should be able to print wirelessly using your MBP and printer. However, you will want to visit the Canon home site and download the current drivers and firmware for your printer. Once you've done this, I hope you'll post back with your results.

How to cast a String input into Date variable?

I am using JOptionPane.showInputDialog to ask user for a date input. This will be read in as a String. I need to pass it to a variable call date. And when I print date using JOptionPane, it should be shown as whatever the user keyed in in this format: 25/2/09. How do I do it?

By the way, that's not casting. Casting is when you have a variable whose type is at a particular level of detail, and you assign it a different level of detail -- say, casting an int to a long, or a List to an ArrayList.
What you want to do is convert one type to a completely different one. In particular, you're going to do that by using SimpleDateFormat to parse the String -- that is, SimpleDateFormat will read the string, pick out the individual parts that express the date, and create a Date object that corresponds to it.

How to set nano 7th gen to accept podcast downloads

I downloaded (I thought) podcasts from the iTunes store yesterday. My Nano was plugged into the computer. A pop up menu asked if I wanted to accept/subscribe (don't remember which) to podcasts and I checked yes. Today when I plugged in my Nano, there is no podcast category in my library and when I check the Nano itself, it shows no podcasts. I checked the general settings and "podcast" is greyed out so I can't check that I want podcasts to be automatically synced. What do I need to do to get podcasts downloaded into my iTunes library and synced to my Nano?

This did nto solve my problem. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with Apple. The first "tech" had little idea of what I was talking about, suggested things that did not work, and set a call back (so he could try and find an answer) at the wrong time.
Not getting the call back at the time it was supposed to happen, I went through the whole calling Apple again.
This time I got a real tech who, when she couldn't figure out what was wrong, got a supervisor (Lynette) to take over. Lynette arranged to "see" my computer so she could better understand the problem. She, too, was perplexed. Because I'd been on the phone for almost 2 hours, I asked if she would call me back in the morning and she agreed, that would give her time to research.
Well, 10 minutes later the phone rang and Lynette asked me to go to the computer and open "Parental" in the iTunes settings. (A bit of necessary background: the local Apple store had given me a replacement Nano 3 days prior because my new one was getting too much radio static. I assumed it was a new Nano, but it was apparently a refurbished one, and it had not been totally cleaned.) I had never thought to open the parental category as I don't have kids in the house. Guess what...when I opened it, both podcast and radio had been check to no allow! Lynette was as happy as I was; she said she knew she couldn't leave without solving the problem so kept fooling with it.

How to Set Up AirPort Extreme 802.11n only Network

I purchased a used AirPort Extreme base station and a used AirPort Express off eBay to upgrade my home network. Both are the latest model AE (dual band II, firmware 7.5.1) and AX (802.11n, firmware 7.4.2). I want to use my AE as main router (Internet connection, DHCP) and use my AX to wirelessly extend network to my family room, where I have my Xbox accepting only wired network. And I want AE and AX to communicate through 802.11n to maximize bandwidth. Sounds easy right?
Well, I've got this set up mostly working except the 802.11n part. Not matter what I do, It seems only operating in g mode. I made my AE creating a 5Ghz network but I couldn't find this network anywhere. Not on my iPad, not on my iMac.
I'm wondering if I have a defective AE. The seller on eBay told me he used the 11n network just fine. The router is still under warranty, I'm wondering if I should ask Apple for a repair? But since I'm pretty new to Mac in general, I figure there might be something I just missed and hence this post. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I do have an AX that extends the AE network. There is nowhere on AX that I can specify radio mode, once I specified it to extend a network. I assume AX talks to AE over the n network and then extends the network to be g compatible? Sounds really strange.
Maybe not too strange. Since the AX is a single-band device, it can only extend the AEBSn's 2.4 or 5 GH radio, at a time, not both simultaneously. Since your iPhone was able to connect, most likely, it was extending the 2.4 GHz radio ... which was also configured to support "g" devices. What I haven't figured out is how, if you set the AEBSn's Radio Mode to "n only" why non-"n" are still able to connect when the network is extended.
... I chose to create a different network name for 5Ghz radio as something like: MID-EARTH (5 GHz). However I can't seem to find this network anywhere. I'm wondering why this is the case? Is my AE somewhat defective?
This may be a completely different issue than the extended network one. If you remove the AX from the network equation, wireless clients should see two different Network Names or SSIDs ... one being "MID-EARTH (5 GHz)" and whatever you called the 2.4 GHz network. That is, assuming that the client is capable of accessing both bands. If this is not the case, we would need to revisit your AEBSn's configuration settings.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you would like to print in black ink only on your HP Envy 4502 with your Mac running the Mavericks 10.9 Operating system. Please follow the steps listed below:
Printing with the Black Print Cartridge Only option
Click File and then click Print.
Make sure your printer is selected.
Verify that the Preset option is set to Standard.
In the Copies & Pages menu, select Select Paper Type / Quality.
NOTE:If this option is not available, click ColorSync. Then click the down arrow beside Quartz Filter and change the setting from None to Black & White.
Select the Paper tab.
From the Color option menu, select Grayscale.
Select the Color Options tab.
Select the Black Print Cartridge Only option.
If that option is not listed, then it is not available. The printer will print using only the black cartridge, however, printing with one cartridge will be slower than printing with both cartridges.
NOTE:To save the setting, click the arrow next to Preset and select Save As. Save the Preset option as Black Cartridge Only and then click OK. Then, the next time you want to print with just the black cartridge, select the Black Cartridge Only Preset. -Source
