How to set alerts?

Hi all
Please do guide me to set alerts to mail whenever an exception raises like not populated data or event not completed in Oracle 9i or 10g. As it is available in Windows or in SQL Server - SQL Agent.

Checking table contents in true 'real time' would be horrendously expensive. I'd go back and review the business requirements and proposed solution. There is, 'rightly, nothing native to Oracle that will do this. If, as you suggest, SQLServer appears to do this, my guess is you are mis-understanding what it really does.

Also consider this ... you are asking about triggering email from a 'real time' monitor of the table contents, but email itself is far from 'real time'. There are all kinds of latencies in an email system, not the least of which is the latency of the recipient having gone home for the day - or gone on a two-week cruise - or having just left the company completely. All of which need to be considered when considering something such as what you are proposing.
Again, I'd revisit the business requirements before proposing a technical solution.

We use to use Nagios and some powershell script to monitor if any service on sharepoint server has stopped. It will trigger a alert if any of the service is down.
You can set a similar kind of alert for yourself.
E.g. Powershell will generate Web analytic reports, if data is not present then it will not send report. This help us understand there is some issue with web analytics (cannot share this powershell due to policies)
Similarly, when Profile stops working sync service stops. if any service on server stops, nagios send us a alert on same.

I have configured Solution manager 3.2 to monitor
our R/3 systems.
I want to be able to set the threshold for tablespace
usage and be able to send an email if the usage
of the tablespace is 80% full.

There are different approaches to configure alerts, if you are using Solution Manager; I think you can benefit if you choose SolMan and the Central System (CEN) to handle all the monitoring and email alerting.
If this is the case, you will need to install the CCMS Agents on every satellite system in order to trigger remote alerts.

Q: As a network administrator, how do i set alerts for a unauthorized access to ClearPass server (via SMS or Mail) ?
A: A network admin would want to know, if someone unauthorized is trying to access the ClearPass server. The solution below explains, how a SMS/Mail alert can be set on ClearPass server for the same.
Manual to way for a admin to check ClearPass login is via Event Viewer. Here the Alert level is WARN for a invalid login.
However for an automatic alert, we need to take following steps:
In order to send alerts via Mail, we need to configure SMTP server on ClearPass
2. In order to send alerts via SMS we need to configure SMS gateway
3. Now once the Mail and SMS config is done, we need to set Alerts. For that we need to navigate to CPPM > Administration > Server Manager > Server Configuration > Cluster-Wide Parameters > Notifications
4. Here the system alert level is set to WARN (same for a Invalid login attempt) to capture unauthorized ClearPass login attempts.

Because I tried it, and it worked only AFTER I typed a number onto the field.
Since my goal is to have the alert BEFORE, so if someone typed in a text, they should see the alert and correct themselves to type in a number instead.

I had written HTML code in the formsweb.cfg file in forms 11g. In the below code i am unable to retrive image file(i.e., .gif, .jpeg) from the server or local machine.
In the below HTML code i set image source in the image tag as below:

AFAIK, this is not the correct way to set the image location.
We call the working directory as context, so inside the context root along with WEB-INF, maintain a folder with name img and put all the images in that directory.
You can use either .\<image_folder> or the optimum way would be (if you are using JSPs) to use getContext() method and traverse accordingly.
FYI,,, using getContext() will give you context root directory, from there it is as simple as accessing any other folder.

However, in BB Messenger 5.0, I cannot figure out how to turn on the "set alert" feature that is available in BB Messenger 4.5 The "set alert" features allows you to know when an instant message has been read by the person you sent it to. This is an invaluable feature for me (and I believe for many other), hence I cannot believe BlackBerry removed this feature in BB Messenger 5.0.
Any help regarding this topic is greatly appreciated.

Honestly, I've never seen a setting for that. But, even with no such setting, I see the receipts just fine in all 1:1 conversations. Group conversations, however, don't show receipts -- and I don't recall any prior version showing such for groups.

By Using XML.ignoreWhitespace = false; I am able to Store/Carry/Save L&T white spaces in XML and i can retrive values with whitespaces... It is in case of loading from Java<DB> to Flex. But the actual problem is with xmlObject.toString()/toXMLString() is not able to carry whitespace, while it should carry as parameter to Java Servlet..so that it can be get using request.getParameter() [..then it is serializing/deserializing] So, how i can preserve the L&T whiteSpaces on XML.toString()/toXMLString() method. OR else How we can set Http request attribute in Flex, so that we can use ( AnY_Object)request.getAttribute()...
