How to set computed property as summary property

I followed Beth's blog to create AddressBook project in VS2013 update 4, I create computed property(FullName), when I switch to HTMLClient screen, the computed property disappears, and I can't set FullName as Summary Property, please help me

Hey,
You can't use computed properties in the HTML client like how you would with the Silverlight (Desktop) client. You can, however display some 'local data items' on an HTML screen. Please follow this post by Michael Washington (http://lightswitchhelpwebsite.com/Blog/tabid/61/EntryId/185/Computed-Properties-With-the-LightSwitch-HTML-Client.aspx)
Also in that post you'll see a description of the WCF_RIA service that can be used to do this. The key difference between the two is that when you use the WCF_RIA service, you can sort or query on the computed value while using the first option, you can't.

  • How to set "Make this group privileged" property for group?

    How to set this property programmatically using Portal PL/SQL API ?
    Thanks

    nina91x,
    It sounds like you have two elements for each crane and forklift service, namely, a labor component that perhaps prepares, delivers, services, etc. each piece of machinery and a material element which is the machine itself. You could create labor and materials
    resources to correspond to each of those elements, but Project doesn't allow you to set a max on a material resource, so creating a material resource for the cranes and forklifts probably isn't going to work.
    What you really need, at least as I interpret it, is a combination schedule (to track your labor) and a spreadsheet (to track your machines). I suggest you only list the labor elements as performance tasks in your schedule. For example, under the Support
    summary line, you might have separate tasks for, Service cranes, Prepare cranes for delivery, Deliver cranes, Retrieve cranes, and likewise for the forklifts. Then, instead of creating or assigning the machines as a resource, customize a couple of extra fields
    (e.g. Text1 and Text2) to track the number of machines that are used and available. For example, if the Text1 field is renamed "Cranes/Forklifts Used", you could enter into that field the number the customer currently has at his jobsite. I would
    enter that value in the Text1 field for the Deliver cranes task. The labor for that task is the truck drivers time to make deleveries and it would be tracked as any normal labor task. Rename the Text2 field as "Cranes/Forklifts Available" and customize
    that field with the formula: IIF([Text1]>"0","250"-[Text1],""). As data is entered into the Text1 field, the Text2 field will automatically calculate the remaining inventory. See the screenshot below.
    Using the above structure you will be tracking both labor and machines and the machine usage will have no impact on progress.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to set the value of MaxRow Property of DB Adapter 11g dynamically

    I have the following requirement:-
    i am using DB Adapter to connect with MsSQL server for fetching the records from the table by using simple Select Query in my DB adapter.
    1. Receive request from Web Service Client number of records as input to fetch records form MsSQL Server.
    2. Return the result set to the service consumer
    So, here i m using MaxRow Property of Database Adapter for the number of records to be returned. But the problem is that how i can set the value to the MaxRow Property of DB Adapter dynamically from the value received as input.
    If you have any other idea to return the records dynamically from MsSQL server .Please help me.

    If you are using the DB Adapter as a reference and as you said, you are using custom SQL i guess...
    you can use the sql like...
    select top 1 * from tablename, this will result only 1 row from database(top record)...
    or select top 5 percent * from tablename, if the rows in the database are 100, then it will return the top 5 records in the database...
    check the exact syntax of top command with sql server...but using top keyword should solve your purpose to limit the number of records....
    Hope this helps...
    Thanks,

  • How  to Set JMS property and Read JMS property in BPEL using JMS adapter

    Does any one know how to set or read more than one JMS property in BPEL using JMS adapter. My queue server is Oracle JMS server.
    Any help and sample is well appreciated

    Hi Van
    I have noted that only the attribute "type" is missing. It seems that when you create a "string" property, the attribute "type" is droped from the XML. If you use another type (as "integer" or "double") it stays there.
    If you try to read your properties, except for the "type" attribute, you should be successful, as I am. If you need, please tell me your email, I can send you my code.

  • How to set cursor property from "snap-to-plot" to free?

    dear all,
    is there any one know how to set a cursor property from "snap-to-plot" to "free"?
    this cursor is in a XY graphy
    i couldn't find coresponding property in the XY graph property node
    thank you
    Jack

    It looks like there are different property names depending on your labview version.
    You need to select the ActCrsr and then use the Cursor.Lockstyle property in LV7.1
    You need to select the ActCrsr and then use the Cursor.CursorMode property in LV8.2.

  • How to set updatable property of view object on runtime

    Hello Gurus,
    I am new in adf and using jdev 11.1.2.3.
    I have two view object which has view link and they are based on entity object. In master view i have a column with the name of status. The target is if the value of status is 'active' then i want to allow add rows in detail view and if it is inactive then wants to disable adding or editing in the detail view.
    I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to get the other view object and how to set update able property and where to write code in entity object class or view object class.
    Any advice................
    Thanks in Advance

    There are multiple possible ways to archive this. As the VOs are in a master-detail relationship, you can opt to add a navigation method to the child back to the parent. This method can be accessed via java or groovy to allow the child access to the master row. Once the child has access you can use this to ask the master for it's status and if it's not active disable the edit and update buttons.
    If both master and detail are on the same page in the ui, there is an easier way. Drag the status attribute from the master table onto the page as e.g. inputText. This will create a binding for the attribute which changes if you select a row in the master table. As you don't need to inputtext, switch to the source mode of the page and delete it. This will remove the inputtext put keep the binding. Now you can use hte binding in an EL to set the disable property of other components to true like
    <af:commandButton text="commandButton 1" id="cb1" disabled="#{bindings.masterstatus.inputValue ne 'active'}"/>
    The button will only be active it the binding for masterstatus is active.

  • How to set bean property in jsf page

    Hi,
    Hopefully theres an easy solution, but I can't figure it out...
    I have a managed bean that spans several jsf pages.
    Within each page I want to set a flag that tells the bean which page it is serving (as well as some other params).
    How do I set a property of the bean in the page?
    I've tried
    <jsp:useBean id="filter3" scope="request" class="com.aol.rsistats.ui.FilterBean"/>
    <jsp:setProperty name="filter3" property="filterType" value="3"/>
    but that doesn't load the page through the normal JSF routine (and I initialise some values of the bean in the faces-config.xml file... so these are not initialiased when the setProperty is called) .
    (In general I get some strange behaviour when I mix jsf tags with jsp, or jstl, so I've avoided it as much as possilble)
    Is there another way?
    Cheers,
    Keith

    This example works for me (using jsf-1_1_01).

  • How to set photometricInterpretation property while storing TIFF using JAI?

    I am converting JPG Grey Sale image in to bilevel image and saving in TIFF format with Group IV compression.

    After a long time, I found that photometricInterpretation property is used to control this property of White_on_Black or Black_on_White in TIFF files.

  • How to set the item property to restrict the user to not to copy from above

    Hi Guru's,
    I have a requirement like, There were two items on the form name email Id, Confirm email Id.
    I have to ristrict the user to not to copy from email Id item.. make him/her to enter the value into confirm email id item field manually.
    How to set the item property to restrict the user to not to copy from above item and paste it in this item.
    Please help.
    Thanks!!

    Just an opinion here, but that is about the dumbest requirement I have ever seen.
    I am always annoyed by web sites that ask me to enter my email twice. I ALWAYS copy the email address from the original entry and paste it into the second one.
    People enter their email addresses so often, it takes a real klutz to not get it right. And what makes you think that if they enter it twice, that they won't enter it wrong both times anyway???

  • In XML view, how to set sap.ui.core.CSSSize array for property "widths" of MatrixLayout Control?

    As SAPUI5 prefer XML views, I'm rewriting JS view into XML views.
    When I translate the statements below, I can not set sap.ui.core.CSSSize array for property "widths" of Control MatrixLayout.
    JS version:
    var oLayout = new sap.ui.commons.layout.MatrixLayout({
        id : 'matrix3'
        columns : 3,
        width : '600px',
        widths : ['100px', '200px', '300px']
    XML version:
    <l:MatrixLayout
        id="matrix3"
        columns="3"
        width="600px"
        widths="['100px', '200px', '300px']">
    <l:MatrixLayout>
    The error says: Uncaught Error: "[100px, 200px, 300px]" is of type object, expected sap.ui.core.CSSSize[] for property "widths" of Element sap.ui.commons.layout.MatrixLayout.
    Same problem with property `backgroundDesign` of MatrixLayoutCell, I can only use a workaround to use String "Fill1" not the Class "sap.ui.commons.layout.BackgroundDesign.Fill1".
    When we meet a property which need a Class object as value, we can not set it in String Format for XML views. That's a pity or I did not find the right way to set NON-String values as property for XML Controls.

    Hi,
    any settings that are not possible in the XML, need to be set in the controller instead.
    Using the string value of an enum is fine, though.

  • Property Loader - How to set it up for all sequences?

    Hi,
    I made an attempt to use the property loader for the first time. (TS3.5).
    I set it up in the setup section of the SequenceFileLoad and specified few parameters of the FileGlobals.
    What happened was a proper operation for the SequenceFileLoad sequence, but as soon as the procedure stepped into the MainSequence, the values return to the original values.  I repeated the process with and without import to Run-time sequence only' and it behaved the same.
    Is there a way to set it up so ti will apply to all sequences within my sequence file and also to the external sequence files called from the main sequence.  In short to replace the parameters of the FileGlobals for the duration fo the test.
    Thanks
    Rafi

    Rafi,
    The behavior you are seeing with the SequenceFileLoad engine callback is expected.  The SequenceFileLoad callback occurs before the Sequence File is actually loaded.  In your case, you are setting the FileGlobals then loading the SequenceFile.  When the Sequence File is loaded by the engine, the FileGlobals are also loaded in with the file.  So the FileGlobals are reset to their default values.  If you want to set the FileGlobals from the property loader, put the Property Loader step in the Setup group of the MainSequence.  In this case, you are setting the values of the FileGlobals after the Sequence File is already loaded.
    FileGlobals only have a scope that covers a SequenceFile.  You will not
    be able to load FileGlobals that are accessible to sequences in
    external sequence files.  You have a few options for getting the data into the external sequences:
    (1)  Add parameter variables to the Parameters section of each external sequence.  When the sequence is then invoked, you can pass the data which will be used by the sequence.  This provides the proper data dependency between sequences and avoids confusion on when the data is being initialized.
    (2)  For each Sequence File or each Sequence, create a separate property file.  When each sequence is called, then use the Property Loader step to load in the data.
    (3)  Use StationGlobals instead of FileGlobals.  StationGlobals have a scope that covers all SequenceFiles on a test station.  However, this is not a recommended method, because the data is accessible to all sequences.  For large applications, it is easy to mistake points in the sequences where data is being initialized and used.  In these cases, you may expect the data to be a certain value that it isn't because another Sequence has already changed the data values.  That is why it is better to use smaller scoped data variables.
    Let me know if you have any further questions.
    Thanks,
    Tyler T
