How to set Custom Properties in PDF

Hi,
We are using BIP embedded in EBS R12.
For post-processing of PDF files, we need to embed information in PDF files which can be read by a script.
There is Customer Properties section in every PDF file (File > Properties > Custom (tab)) where information may be stored in Name-Value pair where in Name will be a predefined information while value should coming from XML data file.
I could not find any help/guide which demonstrates how to insert custome properties in PDF file generated from RTF template in EBS. Is this capability available in BIP?
Please share your thoughts on this.

You may be able to make changes to the web.xml for Infoview to handle that.

AFAIK, this is not the correct way to set the image location.
We call the working directory as context, so inside the context root along with WEB-INF, maintain a folder with name img and put all the images in that directory.
You can use either .\<image_folder> or the optimum way would be (if you are using JSPs) to use getContext() method and traverse accordingly.
FYI,,, using getContext() will give you context root directory, from there it is as simple as accessing any other folder.

You could open the sites.aspx in Notepad or SharePoint designer, and set the master page to your own master page directly via editing:

Here is the code of the Button in the skin class of spark title window.

So first change the default height and width from 15 to 32. Then in the Button Skin class i.e. spark.skins.spark.TitleWindowCloseButtonSkin change paths to modify the cross symbol.

PDF files are usually binary files, JSPs are not well-suited for binary content.
(If you download the result of your JSP you'll see that it is not a valid PDF file; it will have probably a lot of whitespace and linefeeds, that will choke your PDF reader.). The first few characters must be
"%PDF-" without whitespace.
You can try using PDF files encoded as text - check if you can use text-encoded PDFs in iText.
Try using a Servlet instead.

I'm experiencing this problem: I need to print barcode labels which are 4 x 9 cm each (a custom paper size). The report has been build correctly, orientation is right but when I print the labels programmatically by an application I made the label gets printed in a wrong way.
In particular, orientation and paper size are not correct.
So I would like to try to force both of them (both the orientation and the custom paper size). How can I do that?

How to set CORS properties for BLOB Storage using node?

Hi - I just got started with Azure using a Node-based web site and mobile services.
I am following various documentation in order to provide an API for users to upload images via a time-restricted SAS for the BLOB Storage.
In order to upload my image, I need to set the CORS configuration for the BLOB Storage. Unfortunately this cannot be done via the management portal.
I'm unclear as to how to accomplish this. I'm considering using the startup.js file in my mobile service to make a post request to the BLOB Storage REST API:

Are there appropriate methods in the Node SDK to make this easier, especially the signing part?

Unfortunately Node SDK does not support CORS functionality yet. Your option would be to write code which consumes the REST API for setting CORS. Not sure if it helps but there's a free tool out there written by my company which you can use to set CORS

I created a DC from a Java class and defined some custom properties on one of its attributes. How can I access these custom properties through EL? I don't see the custom properties in the Expression Builder.

Sorry for the sparse description. By custom properties I mean the ones you can add through the "Custom Properties" tab in the same editor that also lets you edit the UI Hints. This is the editor that opens when you try to edit an accessor on a data control from the DataControls.dcx viewer. In my case, I have a TestDC data control that exposes an "employees" collection of type Employee. Employee has the attributes "startDate", "name", and "age" which are of type java.util.Date, java.lang.String, and java.lang.Integer, respectively. In the DataControls editor, I select the "employees" accessor and click on the pencil icon. This opens the editor for the Employee.xml file (root element is PDefViewObject, always appears in a persdef package). From the Overview, click on Attributes, and you'll see the Custom Properties tab below the list of attributes. I added some properties here for one of the attributes but I don't know how these are supposed to be accessed through EL.

Labels pointing to pie slices with lines (or how 2 set chart properties in code behind)

I want to be able to create lines outside of my pie chart with labels and have those lines drawn to connect to the pie chart. I saw that this can be done in code behind in the following thread:

But my problem is I never declared an instance of my chart when I am using my code behind. My code that makes the reports visible is basically (but not completely) the following:

Based on your description, you want to design a
pie chart with outside lables and pie line inside a .rdlc report. If so, you can add the Chart report item into the report after open a client report definition (.rdlc) file in graphical design mode. And then Set the
PieLabelStyle property and PieLineColor property. Please refer to the following screen shot:

How to set ALV properties?

I have some difficulties with an ALV grid report.
The program is too difficult for using the alv refresh method then we use the submit method to the program.
Using the submmit method users will lost their layout (filters,...). I found a FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_LAYOUT_INFO_GET which return all the properties of an ALV.
All this informations are sent in memory using export to memory. The informations are well returned.
I create the event END_OF_LIST in which I call the FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_LAYOUT_INFO_SET after importing the ALV properties. But no change on the ALV have been done... (no filter...)
Must i use an other event or an other FM?

the post you indicates to me is the good way to refresh an ALV but this not my case. We can not use the good way that is the problem.
The way you put me in is not so wrong!
I try to use an event with a sy-ucomm and refresh the ALV with the rs_selfield-refresh = 'X' and its worksssssssss.
The the question now how to refresh an ALV by this way:
EVENT sy-ucomm.
form f_command_alv using fip_ucomm
                           fip_selfield type kkblo_selfield.
   case fip_ucomm.
     when 'ZREFRESH'.
       perform f_refresh.
     when 'TEST'.
       perform f_set_alv using rs_selfield.

The difficulty is how to set rs_selfield-refresh to X in the second case or another way to refresh!

In the PDF Edit API's ( as has already been suggested) there is the PDEImage and using this you should be able to find out everything you need to know about any image in a PDF file.
I would recommend starting with PDEImageGetAttrs
