How to set delaypercentage for Test set execution?

I am running Test set from Test execution tab in OTM. But I am not getting option 'Command line run settings' to enter value as -delaypercentage 1.
The test case(Openscript) is failng if I run the test set. If I run indivisual test case then it is getting passed. Please help.

Hi,
If you have set the command line parameters in the Test specification it will carry them over when you execute the test set. You may have some other error. Have you checked the logs? If you are executing the test set from the OTM server in the c:\oracleats\logs directory you should have a process_*.log file associated with the run of that test. It may shed some light on the issue.

How to set execution time of the step with business days in the workflow

As we know, we can set how many days later the step should be execuated after previous step. now, the problem is how to set the business days (days except sunday and sataurday) for it. any one has good solution on it.

In order to find the Next working day you need to check for the Factory calendar days for eg, if a workitem has invoked today and if the Approver doesn't release the workitme for which u want to send a mail/reminder to the approver after say next 5or 6 working days, you need to create a function module.
For eg: In case of Purchase order, if the approver doesn't release the PO .
Create a Method saying "Next working day" , in which you will be passing the import parameters : PO, Factory calendar day and the sy-datum
and export parameter : date.
Create Input date and No of days as container elements of the Task and in the method create a Function module
In case of PO, consider the Factory calendar key from the T001W by joining the table EKPO there by passing the PO.
then pass the date, No of days(say 5 days) and the Factory calendar key to the "WDKAL_DATE_ADD_FKDAYS" , you will get the next working day of the employee.
Don't forget to check the Binding properly.
Do implement this logic and check the same.

Execution preference is more related to the "Semantic Compression" capability of the application/framework than the "backward compatiblity" with 04/04s.
Whenever the semantic compression is enabled, sync order has to be present for the set of data object to ensure the correct order of the data going to the server.
As all the backward compatible applications are "Semantic compression enabled" this option is mandatory for those applications.
But non-backward compatible applications might also want to use "semantic compression" feature to reduce the traffic over the network. In this case, those applications will also need this feature. Hence this feature of settting the sync order is available for all the SWCVs.

How to verify adhoc for tester

I can verify that an ad hoc is signed correctly for me by:
- deleting existing profile/app from iPhone
- dropping provisioning file into iTunes with .app
- syncing phone to iTunes
However, my tester may still get a verification failure, even though his UUID is in the provisioning file. Is there a way for me to test as someone else, which would go a long way to knowing the tester is likely to be ok as well.
How can it work for one UUID (mine) and not another in the same provisioning file?

You probably missed a step. Every time you add a new device you need to:
1. update the profile on the iPhone Program Portal to include the new UDID
2. download the updated profile from the portal to your development machine
3. in the Xcode organizer, remove the old profile and drop in the new one
4. in Xcode, in the build settings for your ad hoc configuration, select your updated profile
5. do a clean before you build
The only way to tell if it will work for the new device is to try it on the new device.

How can eCATT used for testing of z program on DEV system &data on Quality?

Background - Custom object is (for e.g. any report program) which I want to test is present on DEV system and required data (e.g. data that will be passed to selection screen fields of program) on Quality system.
Question -How to do testing of program using eCATT without transporting my program to Quality box? Please anyone can give me any insights on this to fix the data availability issue.
My efforts - Created System data container specifying RFC connection for Quality system. Created Test Data Container with data available on Quality box. Here, I specified target system as 'Quality' for the data. Created Test script (for SE38 tcode ) and did the parameterization(giving program name as parameter , other selection screen fields) and set the Target system for each parameter to QUALITY. Created Test Configuration specifying with all required parameters .
When I ran the test script from Test Configuration, test script started to run on Quality system. But failed saying program/object does not exist on quality box.
Importance - This is required as no data available on DEV box, need to move program/object to Quality system. Hence, multiple transort requests are created.

Yes, you are right. If I manually code the same amount of those components in the JSF pages instead of generating them dynamically, the server will still run out of memory. That is to say, JSF pages might not accommodate a great deal of concurrent visiting. If I upgrade the server to just allow 1,000 teachers making their own test papers at the same time, but when over 2,000 students take the same questionnaire simultaneously, the server will need another upgrading. So I have to do what you have told me, using JS+DOM instead of upgrading the server endlessly.

I solved my problem:
I was disabling scripting but only in the 'Internet' zone,
whereas I was testing on my local machine, so the disable/prompt
settings were not effecting my webpage;

We need to setup a 2 level approval process for test case documents in SAP Solution Manager.
e.g. If test case document is uploaded for transaction "MM01" then first it will go to Reviewer1. Once Reviewer1 approves it , should go to Reviewer2.
Adn finally once reviewer2 approves it , it will be complete.

How to set Proxy for IE 8.0 on doing Load Testing with OATS 12.1.0.2

I have tried adding proxy server by adding the address to "Localhost" and Port as 8080.
but nothing is working out, for recording an EBS instance its working fine ,no need to setup anything in the OATS tool, eg, Proxy settings.
But when it comes to BPM with ADF technology , the recorder is not starting the Recording even the pointer navigation also not wokring.
So, is there way to record the ADF applications in BPM ?

Thing is do we need to add the proxy server here?, as for doing Load testing on EBS application,there is no need of adding a proxy server,
So the same way it should work with the ADF application too, but its not showing any mouse pointer in the Browser tool bar or recording
the navigation.
Point to be noted is, we need to connect to VPN in order to access the Application.
is it because of VPN connection that its not recording?
But while doing the functional testing I didn't face anyproblem though as its recording everything even if we are connected to VPN.
In Functional testing also i found ,all the input fields where we add the "username" or any input data via a "text box" the tool is not able to
record the field information along with the input we enter.
If you could let me know ,how to do a Load testing for ADF application using BPM , it would be helpful

How to set the number of sockets for batch processing at runtime?

I need to change the execution model at runtime. I have achieved this by setting the 'ModelPath' property of the sequence file at runtime. When I set the sequence file model as batchmodel, i need to set the number of test sockets also dynamically. How can this be done? Once i set the number of sockets, i would also have to set the UUT serial number for each socket. Please help me out in solving this.

Hi Madhu,
You can do this by inserting a sequence file callback into your main sequence and choose the ModelOptions callback. You can then use the expression step to set the "Parameters.ModelOptions.NumTestSockets" value to whatever you want. If you then use the Test UUTs execution entry point you will be prompted for serial numbers automatically. You could also use this same procedure but alter the ModelOptions callback in the process model directly, either way works just as well but I think that using a sequence file callback gives a bit more flexibility in the system.

How to set a condition based on whether the following test is selected

In addition to the 'Full Test' (Run UUTs), I would also like to allow for 'Partial Test' (Run Selected Steps Using Single Pass).
In order to run 'Partial Test' I must run some precondition steps.
I was thinking to write an 'Action type' step and in its precondition section to set:
a) run only in 'Partial Test' (I already have a flag for that)
b) run only if the next step (or any specific test for that matter..) is marked for testing.
My questions:
1) Is my approach appropriate or is there a better way to achieve the same goal?
2) How would you specify a condition of a specific test being marked for testing?

Hello Rafi,
If your sequence file contains steps that you will always want to run before running your selected steps, it is best to place those steps inside the Setup step group. So when you run the selected steps, the steps in the Setup step group will always run. This way you do not need to use preconditions.
However, if you only want those steps to run when you select run selected steps and not when you run Test UUTs; you will have to use preconditions. I would still place those steps inside of the Setup step group. As a side note, there is a TestStand API method Execution.InInteractiveMode which will return a Boolean true if you choose to run selected steps.
In response to your second question, I would not think that you will need to mark a test using the above method since run selected steps will run all steps currently selected.

Power on the Time Capsule for a few minutes, then hold in the reset button firmly with a ball point pen or something similar for 10 seconds and release. Allow a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart to a slow, blinking amber light.
Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <--> Ethernet ports on the back of the Uverse router to the WAN "O" port on the Time Capsule
On your Mac, open up Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Other WiFi Devices tab
Click on the Time Capsule
The setup utility will open up automatically and take a minute to analyze the connections then suggest a setup on a screen that looks like this:
Type in a simple name that you want to use for the Wireless Network Name
Type in a name that you want to use for the Time Capsule device
Type in a password
Verify the password
Click Next
The utility will set everything up for you in a minute or two. When you see the message of Setup Complete on the screen, click Done
You can now log onto the wireless network that you created by selecting the name and entering the password
Post back on your progress and we will next get backups going again

How To Set Up Airport Express To Use With iPad2 For My Needs ?

On the advice of several people in a audio forum, I just purchase an Apple Airport Express. I will be using it with my new iPad 2. What I need to accomplish is using my iPad2 to stream subscription based music from the internet to the Airport Express, and for the Airport Express to connect via toslink cable to the DAC in my audio system.
What I am not sure about is how to set up my Airport Express to accomplish this. I do have a wireless network in my home, but wish to keep the wireless connectivity between the Airport Express and the iPad2 separate from it.

Deggie, firstly, thank you for your attempt to help. I greatly appreciate it. I connected it via the ethernet cable to the router since when I reconfigured the Airport Express adding it to my existing wireless system, the iPad could not connect to anything until I unplugged the Airport Express. I set it up for an ethernet connection to my router based on that experience.
Either the Ipad does not seem able to send anything to the Airport Express, or the AEX is not passing anything on. I also tried streaming a song stored on the iPad 2 to the AEX with no result, so it is not an issue with the subscription channel.
I don't own a miniplug cable of any sort for further testing, but the toslink cable is brand new, and was literally taken out of its package and plugged in, so I feel it extremely unlikely it is the issue. I've also tested it in three inputs on the DAC, so it is definitely not an issue with it.
I have a question though. You said "when you start your subscription and go to Airplay, does the iPad see the AEX?" You may be on to something there. How do I "go to Airplay" I thought it was just automatic? Also, how do I "select it"? This may be the problem.

Either you can set up ERS or you can pay directly from the FI side.
Prerequisites
Evaluated receipt settlement must be flagged in the purchase order item.
The vendor must be flagged as being subject to ERS in the vendor master record.
The goods receipt must refer to a purchase order.
Goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification must be defined for the purchase order item.
A tax code must have been maintained in the purchase order item.
The order price of the materials may not be an estimated price.
If you flag a vendor as being subject to ERS, the system sets the ERS indicator as a default in each item when you create a purchase order for the vendor. You can prevent this happening for certain vendors by flagging the info record for the material and the vendor as not being subject to ERS.
In Purchasing, you can delete the default ERS indicator in a purchase order item.
Choose Logistics Invoice Verification ® Automatic Settlement ® Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS).

I have just purchased the new Airport Extreme (August 2014) because Apple's website states

AirPort Extreme features simultaneous dual-band 802.11ac Wi‑Fi. That means it transmits at both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies at the same time. So no matter which band your wireless devices use, they’ll automatically connect to the best available band for the fastest possible performance.
I have number of Macs in my home from a new MacBook Pro with Mavericks to a Macbook Air with Snow Leopard (due to required software) and iPads.
So after setting up the new Extreme my new MacBook only accesses 11n as does my older Macs. I checked by holding down the option key while clicking the WiFi icon at the top of my Mac. Well, not so automatic then as I was expecting 11ac and 3 times faster access (as stated by Apple).
I then looked for some documentation for setting up but cannot find anything.
Hence my question here.

Assuming that it is operating correctly, 802.11ac and 802.11b/g/n are broadcast simultaneously by default.
Simultaneous dual-band support.
AirPort Extreme features simultaneous dual-band 802.11ac Wi‑Fi. That means it transmits at both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies at the same time. So no matter which band your wireless devices use, they’ll automatically connect to the best available band for the fastest possible performance.
That is advertising. The real information is usually found in the small and hard to read footnotes:
Based on theoretical peak speeds. Actual speeds will be lower.
AirPort Extreme is based on an IEEE 802.11ac draft specification. Performance based on comparison with Apple’s 802.11n products. Comparison assumes AirPort Extreme network with 802.11ac-enabled computer. Speed and range will be less if an 802.11a/b/g product joins the network. Accessing the wireless network requires a Wi‑Fi-enabled device. Actual speed will vary based on range, connection rate, site conditions, size of network, and other factors. Range will vary with site conditions.
Since the 802.11ac signal is being broadcast only using the 5 GHz band, some users report that they have had better results by using the option to assign a different name to the 5 GHz band, and then pointing their Mac to that specific signal or network. You may want to try that option.
But first as a test, please locate the MacBook Pro about 10-15 feet or 3-4 meters from the AirPort Extreme with clear line-of-sight between the two devices. Restart both the AirPort Extreme and the Macbook Pro and then check to see if the Mac is connected to an 802.11ac signal.
If not, please power off your other wireless devices...computers, mobile devices, etc. temporarily, and try the same test again.
