How to set event handler in af:inputText adf faces component.

Hi,
I am using ADF Faces components for my application.
I want to capture the onchange event of a text box on the server side.For this what should I do. How do I register an event handler for this.
In the documentation of the CoreTags of the ADF for onFocus it is stated as below.Will this help me in any manner ?
onfocus String the event handler for when the element receives focus.
Please help me.

You could do something like this:

Hello Pavo,
it's also possible to take the code from ebitar and use the expression within styleClass instead of inlineStyle.
E.g. you can define a custom style "StyleClassEmptyText" in your skin and set this styleclass if af:inputtext is empty.
By using style classes you can have the same style in the whole application and you are able to change this style on a single point(in the styleclass) for the whole application.

1)    You can make the method EH_ONSELECT as public and static and call this method in viewGS_CM/ADDDOC using syntax
    impl class name of view GS_CM/DOCTREE=>EH_ONSELECT "method name.
             or
2)The view GS_CM/ADDDOC which contains EH_ONSELECT method has been already enhanced, so I can't execute such kind of operation one more time.
                     or
3)If both views or viewarea containing that view are under same window , then you can get the instance ofGS_CM/DOCTREE from view GS_CM/ADDDOC through the main window controller.
lr_window = me->view_manager->get_window_controller( ).
    lv_viewname = 'GS_CM/DOCTREE '.
lr_viewctrl ?= lr_window ->get_subcontroller_by_viewname( lv_viewname ).
Now you can access the method of view GS_CM/DOCTREE .

It depends on the level of trace you want to enable. Also, please note you can set the same at the session level, so it depends on what issue you have. If this is a database generic issue, then set it in the init.ora file and bounce the database. If it is a client/session issue, set it at the session level -- See Note: 218105.1
Since the support suggested something specific, then just follow their suggestion.

2. EventHandler class
3. eventhandler.xml to import into MDS schema which define OPERATION,ORDER..etc
you have to zip the first two and register using register utility in <IDM_HOME>server/bin and then import 3rd one into MDS using WeblogicImportMetaData.sh

You were on the right track. However, selecting a menu is different from selecting a menu item. MenuItem chucks an ActionEvent and Menu will send an ItemEvent.
If you pile all action output to one actionPerformed method then be careful of your assumptions on what the source type will be. If by any chance the Menu has sent an ActinoEvent then your code will have caused a ClassCastException.

AS 3.0 how to set event target?

Hi,
I am trying to execute an event on a specific target and I am
not successful in doing this in AS 3.0 since event.target is read
only. Here is the scenario:
- I have a button and the path to this button is:
DataEntry0._UpdateDeleteProd1.Form10.FormItem102.HBox103.Button104
I know this because I did install a listener to and when I
clicked I recorded the path.
- I would like to execute a click programmatically on that
path by just creating an event and setting the target to that
button
(DataEntry0._UpdateDeleteProd1.Form10.FormItem102.HBox103.Button104)
however I don’t know how to set the target. Can anybody help
or point me to the right direction so I can do this.

Sorry,I didn't explain what to do very clearly :).
Básically, the event.taget parameter is set when you use the
dispatchEvent function, so if you want an event to be dispatched
from a Object you must call the dispatchEvent from this function.
The line I gave you wont work by itself since I don't know
how you reference
DataEntry0._UpdateDeleteProd1.Form10.FormItem102.HBox103.Button104
in your application.
But what you need to do is call the dispatchEvent function in
the Button104 object with the specific event you want to trigger.

How to set event 44410?

Hello,
Acording to Metalink Note 4277241.8:
xmlagg() with a GROUP BY can fail with ORA-22813 if the result is too large.
This is normal and expected as there is a hard coded limit on the result
size BUT this fix allows event 44410 to be set which uses a different method
to evaluate the XMLAGG(). The event is disabled by default.
But it doesn't say how to set that event.
I was trying with ALTER SESSION SET EVENTS '44410 ...' but I'm not sure if this is the right way (and what are other parameters).

Trace levels
0 - no statistics
1 - basic statistics CURSOR, PARSE, EXEC, FETCH ERROR, SORT UMAP, ERROR, UMAP, STATS and XCTEND. This is the same as setting sql_trace=true.
2 - same as level 1, do not know why they have this one.
4 - same as level 1 except adds BIND section
8 - same as level 1 except with wait events.
12 - combines all levels 4 and 8.

I was watching a you tube on Lightroom CC and the person is using a mac - I am on WIndows. The insructor selected the words "lightroom" to the left of "File" to get to catalogue settins. I don't see that option so that I can set file handling etc for preview size etc. I have already updated from my LR5 catalogue. So, how do I nagivate to these options and also how to navigate to set program to use my vidoe card for faster performance. Thank you.

I have already done that. That is the first thing I did as mentioned in my Thread. I have also added below 2 options in jdev.conf and restarted JDeveloper, but that also did not work.

Brahma,
you can find the component, view details by doing an F2.
open the component, the view will be mostly an overview page i.e., the name ends OP etc.,
But your method name will be mostly EH_ONSAVE, you need to find exact view.
F2 does not come up properly for overview pages, you have to look into UI config tool preview and make sure sometimes.
