How to set "like" field of the query in statements

Hi,
Im trying to set the "like" field of the statement.but it is not executing as expected.Could anybody please tell me,"how to set the like field in statements.
Here is my code.
PreparedStatement psum=con.prepareStatement("select count(bill_amount) from master where bill_date like ? and whos_bu=?");

Could you plz tell me why the previous one using question mark is not
working. using quesion mark is correct as per the query syntax.and also i tried with asterisk,it is also not working.

problem lies in the open dataset codes
Used:
open dataset out_file for output in text mode encoding non-unicode message msg.
if sy-subrc= 0.
loop at my_table.
transfer my_table to out_file
transfer cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline to out_file no end of line.
endloop.

How to view/use 0costcenter txt fields in the query

Hi,
How to use the fields defined in the text table (/BI0/TCOSTCENTER) of 0costcenter. I want to be able to include them as fields in the query I am configuring and I don't see them available for choose from in the Query Designer. The cube that I am using is CO-OM-CCA(cost and allocation), standard cube from the business content. Do I need to include them separately in the dimension of the cube first to be able to use them in the report? The fields that I want to use are DATETO, DATEFROM, CO_AREA and COSCENTER. I assume description is already available in the display tab of the query designer tool.

Hi,
In the Query designer, select the characteristics Cost center in the Rows/ Columns tab.
On the display properties tab there are display options available,
1. Key - Will display cost center number only
2. Key and Text - Will display the CC number and the associated text.
Selecting the second option will solve your problem.
Also check for the same in Business Explorer Tab of the info object.

when we create internal tables like. in final table you can include the extra fields.

Sum of amount field in the Query

I have changed the Property of the Amount field (SAP Standard Infoobject) to Calculated Result as 'Summation' but when I tried to save the changes in Query designer I am getting following error
runtime error '91'
Object variable or with block variable not set
runtime error '4XX'
ActiveX component can't create object
And its disconnecting from BEX Server...how can I resolve this error?

What kind of report? Usually, you have to add the field in the table declaration and then also in the SQL query. After that, include the field in what kind of report you are using.

If I understood you correctly, you are just trying to add new fields to the invoice form and then use them in your form. you should first go and add the field to your tables, which you would do by going to Tool --> User Defined Fields --> Manage User Fields. There are different documents or categories given. For ex. for invoices, Sales Orders you would add your field under the Marketing Documents. If you want the field to be just one per invoice, add it to the Title, otherwise if you want a field per invoice or Sales Order line, add it to the Rows section. Once you have done that then you can just create a edit box or drop down to represent the field and set the datasource for that to your field. If you want example code to do that, let me know.

Tabular form - how to set a field to a constant?

I'm using a tabular form to update a table - and this works. Then I remembered that I need to also update the field that keeps track of who made the change.
Setting this field via the SELECT (e.g. Select 'userX' as editor from ...) for the tabular form fails due to a db concurrency error (MRU 20001) upon submission.
Attempting to override the current value in [Column Attributes] of the field in the [Elements Attibute] setting - [value="userX"] simply adds this as the second value argument of the input element (of the html source).
Suggestions?

Similiar scenario - I have a flag in this table set false that a user can set true when they feel they have satisfactorily reviewed the record.
Since it's in a tabular form it can be changed along w/ other records, but they may not feel the review is complete (so they effectively want the flag to remain false).
I'd like to be able to read records in but set/default the value to reviewed (as a convenience) but due to the problems noted above, this doesn't seem possible.

If you have database 10g, look into function REGEXP_REPLACE. Otherwise you can also try this (you might already know).

We are trying to move from Crystal Reporting that run against a IBM DB2 database on a mainfram to SSRS reporting and we have downloaded the "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 Version 4.0" and then worked with the DB2 Administrator to create the
Packages. We only have access to use the "Read Uncommitted ("MSUR001") package. We were able to connect and pull data before he removed access to the other packages, but after setting access the Connection keeps trying to use
the 'Cursor Stability (MSCS001)" package. How do we change the Default to the "Read Uncommitted ("MSUR001") package??? Since it is keeps defaulting to the the other package
we can't connect to do it in the T-SQL query, it has to be set at the Connection String level.

According to your description, you want to set the Transaction Isolation Level in Connection String. Right?
In Reporting Services, the Connection String for OLE DB Connection can only contains Provider, Data Source and Initial Catalog. There's no property for setting Transaction Isolation Level in the Connection String. Based on my knowledge, we can
only set the Transaction Isolation Level at Query level or set it by using code (C#, VB, Java...) to call the property of Connection. So unfortunately your requirement can't be achieved currently.

How do we find out who the query originator is on the DB2 database side?

OBIEE 11g will typically connect to the database using a generic account. Some of the queries are using too
many resources on our DB2 database. How do we find out who the query originator is (by userID), on the DB2 database side, and not on the OBIEE side? Our research is leading us to Query banding used in Teradata.
We are looking for something similar, that would work in DB2.

If you go to www.speedtest.net it will display which ISP you're with in the bottom corner. There are a few other websites which tell you too but the URLs escape me at the minute
