but when I run my application, I can't see the database_yellow.png in the
title barHm, strange ... from the code snippet you just posted I can't find the error.
This may seem weird, but try to load a small .gif image instead ...
Are you sure the Image is not equal to null?

CheckBox - how to set custom icons

I need to figure out how to set a custom icon for a selected checkbox via the UIManager
This works for un-selected checkboxes:
UIManager.put("CheckBox.icon", new ImageIcon("../images/unselectedCheckBoxIcon.png")));
how to change the icon when it is selected?
I don't know the UIManager property for a selected checkbox icon and using the setSelectedIcon on the checkbox object it self does not seem to work:
checkbox.setSelectedIcon(new ImageIcon("../images/selectedCheckBoxIcon.png"));

For anyone interestsed,
here is a small example of how I made it working.
Unfortunately I cannot attatch the icon images that I use, but the selected icon can be downloaded from here, resize it to 32*32, remove the cross in the middle to save it as the unselected icon.

But always the first item is selected whatever the value of selectedIndex equals to.

if i understand correctly, you want the selectedindex to be 2 when the DropDownList displays.
It might be the case that the dataprovider is being sought after it's already selected its index (as the dataprovider isn't already determined to begin with), so currently it's
     - setting the selected index to default
     - setting the selected index to 2 (your command)
     - getting the dataprovider
     - setting the selected index to default
try writing a function to set the DropDownList's selected index after it's received the information, or even just attach it to the employeeService result handler.
for quick testing sake you could just add
<s:DropDownList id="dropDownList" requireSelection="true" updateComplete="dropDownList.selectedIndex = 2"
                labelField="lastName" dataProvider="{employeeService.lastResult.employees.employee}"/>
to see if my theory is correct.

I want to retain the result we have searched when return to the previous search page.
I think if we can change the retainAM's value to 'Y' after clicking on 'Go' button, then when we return to this page, retainAM will still be 'Y' so that the

And I found one thing so strange, in advancedSearch criteria, there are four criteria displaying in search region by default, but when I add one new criteria, even I don't erter any value to this new crireria, and then go button, in address of this page, it will be '..retainAM=Y', then when we return this page , it will retain the result

topic. The AWTEventListener can listen to events
other than MouseEvents.

but ComponentListener can know when we can change frame position.

A need to create at runtime some buttons and set their icons.
I found a problem to do that in ActionScript. In MXML is easy
to set the icon just use a syntax like this: <mx:Button
label="some text" icon="images/ok.png"/>
But in ActionScript how I can set the icon ?
I need to create the icon by a path passed as a parameter.
Example:
The user want to create a button with a label and an icon so
call a method like this (that return and instance of Button):

I set the icon on the main frame using JFrame.setIconImage(). The icon is shown properly in the main frame.
If more JFrames are opened from the main frame, the newly opened JFrames also show the icon.
However if JDialogs are opended, in some cases the icon set on the main frame is shown and in other cases the coffee cup.
What is JFrame.setIconImage() expected to do? Setting the icon for a single JFrame or the entire application?

In order for your dialogs to use the same icon as the frame, you must parent the dialogs to the frame which has the custom icon.

How to set color profile when exporting a RAW file version as a JPEG?

I import my raw files to Aperture and when exporting as a JPEG I want to specify a color profile of sRBG. I cannot see how to set the color profile for the export. Does anyone know how to do this?

When you go to export versions, edit the presets, and there is a drop down box that lets you select the profile.
I'd suggest picking up the Aperture book by Luna, Long, and Harrington. Lots of great info there.
